Server Utilities :: SQL*Loader-350 Syntax Error When Parsing Data Type
Dec 7, 2010
I ran the following control file in sql loader:
LOAD DATA
INFILE "gateway.csv"
truncate
INTO TABLE GATEWAY
Fields terminated by ","
Optionally enclosed by '"'
trailing nullcols
[code]....
and I got the following error:
zcyds891:/opt/oracle> sqlldr gwcem/gwcem@pfs control=gateway.ctl log=/tmp/ldr.log bad=/tmp/bad.log

I am loading content of an XML file into a table using SQL loader.Below is my Control file script -
LOAD DATA INFILE * INTO TABLE xx_cc_response_xml_stg TRUNCATE xmltype(XML_DATA) FIELDS ( COLUMN_ID constant 1, file_name filler char(4000), XML_DATA LOBFILE(file_name) TERMINATED BY EOF) BEGINDATA B2B_MasterDataUpdate_20120906152137.xml ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The file B2B_MasterDataUpdate_20120906152137.xml is correct and XML is well formed. When i try to query for XML_DATA (datatype XMLType) column in the table, i cannot see any content in the record, and it appears as (XMLTYPE)When I parse this XML using the below,
select value(d) from xxnbn_cc_response_xml_stg a, table(xmlsequence(extract(a.xml_data,'/InventorySearch'))) d; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I get this error: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmcxdsSelf4], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [] 00600. 00000 - "internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s]" *Cause: This is the generic internal error number for Oracle program exceptions. when I select count(*) on the external table created below.

I want to take an export of table MESSAGE, and filter it for the day of 17 JUL 2013 (just to limit the size). i used the following expdp command but its not working.
expdp SYSTEM directory=DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile=DB_16_08_2013.dmp logfile=FA0001P_BG_16_08_2013.log TABLES=schema.MESSAGE QUERY=schema.MESSAGE:where created_on between to_date('17-July-13 00:00:00','DD-Mon-YY hh24:MI:SS') and to_date('17-July-13 23:59:00','DD-Mon-YY hh24:MI:SS')
But with select query i am able to retrieve the rows for the specific date.
select * from MESSAGE where created_on between to_date('17-July-13 00:00:00','DD-Mon-YY hh24:MI:SS') and to_date('17-July-13 23:59:00','DD-Mon-YY hh24:MI:SS') Here is the command with syntax error. My oracle is sitting on UNIX, i have a sql loader scripts which load the data in oracle at every 10 min and bad files is written into a directory. since the file names are same it overwrite the badfiles in case of error record. i can devise a code to write the bad file with different name. I want to write error record into oracle table, is this possible and how can i achieve ?
I have a table which is being load by sqlloader, when i load the table without direct path set to TRUE IT Works well , but when DIRECT path set to TRUE ,it comes out with the following error
SQL*Loader-702: Internal error - Unknown column for OCI_ATTR_COL_COUNT SQL*Loader-2026: the load was aborted because SQL Loader cannot continue.
control file looks like below.
load data BADFILE '/backup/temp/rajesh/RIO/BadFiles/FILENAME' append into table TEMP_rio_RESP_TIME_LND TRAILING NULLCOLS ( INSTALLATION_ID CHAR
Since there is an extra double quote (denoting inch) in the third column, im getting an error. Is there any way to avoid this error without modifying the csv file.
Below function has been used to transfor data and callled in sql loader control file CREATE OR REPLACE function return_domain( domain_name varchar2) return varchar2 as v_dmn varchar2(100)
[code]...
sql loader control file is as below:
load data BADFILE '/backup/temp/rajesh/CERNER/BadFiles/FILENAME' append into table TEMP_CERNER_RESP_TIME_LND WHEN CLINICAL_TRANSACTION_ID = 'USR:ERM PMSEARCH ENCOUNTER RESULTS DISPLAY' TRAILING NULLCOLS
[code]...
function takes the parameter as 'DOMAIN50_LPAR5002_slainterval051712_rj35cmi102_08_45_00.csv '
FILENAME in control file will be replace by DOMAIN50_LPAR5002_slainterval051712_rj35cmi102_08_45_00.csv when i run the the the loader i get the below error.
Record 1: Rejected - Error on table TEMP_CERNER_RESP_TIME_LND. ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-01843: not a valid month
I am recieving errors when trying to load the control file. The errors are as follows:
SQL*Loader-500 Unable to open file (homework.ctl) SQL*Loader-553 file not found SQL*Loader-559 SYstem error: The system cannot find the file specified.
My control file is located directly in the C drive (C:homework.ctl). The control file contains the following
LOAD DATA INFILE 'c:country.dat' APPEND INTO TABLE homework fields terminated by ',' optionally encloded by '"' (country, month, day) WHEN (month='April')
The command I am entering is:
sqlldr system/password control=homework.ctl
I've tried c:homework.ctl, 'c:homework.ctl', and placing the file in the BIN folder of Oracle.
I'm working with sqlldr and i try to insert data from a csv file to a CTL file. One field of my table contains 5 characters but one row has 6 characters in this field, so it's rejected by oracle. (Logical, you can't insert 6 chars in a 5 chars field)
an error is visibly returned, so i wondered how you could catch the value of this error?is it a code? a message?
I'd like to add to my script a condition so that the end of the script would continue even if this error code is returned for that CTL execution.
I want to populate totale number of record in the file. Usually i get 10000 records per file and i load them using sql loader.I want to also insert the number of records in file while loading the data in table.
How can i achive it.
structure of control file is
load data BADFILE '/backup/temp/rajesh/RIO/BadFiles/FILENAME' append into table ERS_RIO_SRC TRAILING NULLCOLS ( INSTALLATION_ID CHAR
I'm trying to load data into a table using SQL Loader but getting a failure error below.

I have to load a fixed width file using sql loader utility. But the records have multiple special characters. writing / modifying the loader utility to load the data.
--Script to create the table create table t1 ( ip1 varchar2(2), ip2 number, ip3 number);
--loader utility LOAD DATA INFILE 'c:inputfile.dat' BADFILE 'c:adfile.bad' REPLACE INTO TABLE t1 FIELDS TERMINATED BY '' OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '°' ( ip1POSITION(1:2) CHAR, ip2POSITION(3:17) INTEGER EXTERNAL ":ip2/100", ip3POSITION(18:32) INTEGER EXTERNAL ":ip3/100", )
--sql version i am using SQL*Loader: Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production on Wed Mar 7 18:32:33 2012 Copyright (c) 1982, 2002, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
In the above mentioned data file, records has multiple special characters like '°','¶' ,'-'. All these special characters have some meaning. eg: '°' specifies the above column needs to be multiplied by -1 '¶' specifies the above column needs to be multiplied by -0.1
what changes need to be made in loader utility for the same? Also, will there be any change in the utility if I am using higher version of oracle?
Sl#Emp_noNameAddress 00101Tom1/B-XYZ street 00202Jon1/C-XYZ Street
Employee Datafile 001, 01, Tom, 1/B-XYZ street 002,02,Jon, 1/C-XYZ Street
Above is a sample data file. Now I would like to import the data into an Oracle table called employee using Oracle 9i SQL Loader utility. But the table has only 3 fields (Emp_no,Name & Address), so I would like to skip Sl# while loading data. I do not want to manually modify data file. How should I write .ctl file.
Sample .ctl file.
load data INFILE 'dataEmployee' BADFILE 'Employee.bad' DISCARDFILE 'Employee.dis' into table Employee fields terminated by ',' TRAILING NULLCOLS (Emp_no NULLIF Emp_no = BLANKS, Name NULLIF Name = BLANKS, Address NULLIF Address = BLANKS )
i load data to this table from a file using sqlldr.
what is the proper data type should i use in control-file for both the fields.? i dont mention any datatye in ctl file which is working fine with given dataset.
After exporting some data to excel, I noticed that on one row all the columns shifted over some. So I queried this record in the database and noticed that the ADDRESS field has some unknown characters at the end of it. They are little squares. I think they are TABS.
2630 LINDEN BLVD, APT. #8G(2 squares are in here)
ADDRESS_1 "TRIM(:ADDRESS_1)",
Besides trimming the data, is there some other function I can use to clean up the address further?
We have a QA database on a VM server with Windows 2003 operating system and oracle 10.2.0.1 installed along with limited disk space. We received an expdp file from a client that is large enough that we had to copy it to a network drive (40GB). I created a new directory called IMPDMP with the directory path (using UNC pathing) to \serversharefoldersubfolder (our network mapped P drive, yes I included the backslash, but I have tried without it also). I also included the parfile here. I checked the grants and they seem to be fine
SQL> select * from session_roles where role like '%DATABASE' or role like 'DBA';

SQL> select * from session_privs where privilege like '%DICT%';

My questions are this:
1) In interactive mode, does a dummy file expdat.dmp have to exist in the DATA_PUMP_DIR directory?
2) does my export have to reside in the DATA_PUMP_DIR directory (again, no disk space to handle the DMP file), one of the hard drives is just big enough to handle the space but since it has datafiles there also, it would crash during import when trying to extend.
ORA-31693: Table data object "033"."EZMILRIKUZ" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error: ORA-00922: missing or invalid option
my backup syntax is: 033/******@INTORCL DIRECTORY=exp_dir DUMPFILE=033.dmp LOGFILE=033.LOG FULL=N REUSE_DUMPFILES=Y FLASHBACK_TIME="TO_TIMESTAMP(TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')"
I thought there was a problem with the table so i created a new one and now I'm getting the same error on a different table (the third on in the list: . . exported "033"."PRQ" 192.9 KB 479 rows . . exported "033"."EZMIL" 558.8 KB 1229 rows ORA-31693: Table data object "033"."MIL" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error: ORA-00922: missing or invalid option
when i takeoff the "FLASHBACK_TIME" parameter it works fine. ButI need this parameter.
i created the External Table using the script below.
CREATE TABLE EXT_ST_FINANCEIRO_REAL ( DT_DATA NUMBER, TIPO NUMBER, ENTIDADE NUMBER, VALOR Varchar2(40)) [code]....
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout ORA-29400: data cartridge error KUP-00554: error encountered while parsing access parameters KUP-01005: syntax error: found "missing" expecting on of: "column, exit,(" KUP-01007: at line 6 column 1 ORA-06512: at "SYS.ORACLE_LOADER", line 19
its importing data fine upto some stage after that oracle gives the following error
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/JAVA_SOURCE/JAVA_SOURCE ORA-39097: Data Pump job encountered unexpected error -1423 ORA-39065: unexpected master process exception in DISPATCH ORA-01423: error encountered while checking for extra rows in exact fetch ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 123404 bytes (QERHJ has h-joi,kllcqas:kllsltba)
ORA-39014: One or more workers have prematurely exited. Job "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_04" stopped due to fatal error at 11:42:03
I though its due to lack of memory, so i have increased pga_aggregate_target=512MB to 600MB still i am getting a same error.
