Forms :: How To Read Registry From Oracle
Feb 4, 2012in my case both are not working as i am using oracle forms 11g with oracle weblogic application server and attached the required .pll libraries in the form but no success yet.
find below the details;
case-1:
V_adobe_key := WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT.READ_REGISTRY('HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT'||'.PDF', '',TRUE);
when i click on the button then i does not show anything.
case-2:
V_adobe_key := CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT.READ_REGISTRY('HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT' || '.PDF', chr(0),TRUE);
when i click on the button form is hanged and on the server machie the following message appears " Close this form". when i close this it close the form applet session completely.

And the last version for oracleasm release is 2.6.18-308.1.1.el5. [URL] And they aren't compatible...
Are there any way to install these lib with this kernel version? (2.32...)?

Jan 17, 2013I just applied the Jan 2013 SPU and the patch succeeded with no errors; however, when I query DBA_REGISTRY_HISTORY after running the catbundle.sql, the table is not reflecting the new patch. I checked through the catbundle log files and did not see any errors. What could be wrong?
I am running 11.2.0.3 single instance.

Aug 6, 2008I am using Oracle Form 6i. I have created pdf file from oracle report. On view button, I have written:
host('C:Program FilesAdobeReader 8.0ReaderAcroRd32.exe C:dailypending.pdf');
I don't want to set this path on every machine. I want to set its dynamic path so that on which even I machine, I run the applicaiton, it will directly find AcroRd32.exe from any drive either C: or D: or anything else...
It might be Acrobat Reader 9.0 or 8.0 whatever version will be installed on client machine...I want to set path according to that..So that whatever version it would be, it doesnt affect the application..

Nov 1, 2010I am trying to install ORACLE 11gR2 RAC on CentOS 5.5 .
when run root.sh on first node. I am gettign 2/3 failed command lines but the end went successful

'UpdateNodeList' was successful.

Because of this output, when see the ./crsctl stat res -t , it showing LISTENER offline for perflahp03, and I can not see any status line for "perflabhp03-vip " and "Scan-listener".
Do I need to reinstall the entire cluster setup because of VIP issue?

Feb 1, 2010Recently i faced with a situation of redirecting a report output to a particular path in my server, and then opening the output by using web.show_document.
I was successful in redirecting it too a path , however i am not able to open the file using URL. We should setup virtual path in orion-web.xml and proceed further.
I pointed the output to an existing virtual path as below in my orion_web.xml file.
D:OraHome_2 oolswebhtml
and tried opening the output through the url
<<<server_name>/forms/html/filename.extn>>>
however i was not able to add new virtual path here .

When the scripts are executed,the execution of orainstRoot.sh is successfull , but root.sh give following error:

In the OWB mapping,I needed to transfer data in lob table1 to lob table2 .Both tables are in 2 different schema.The table1 has blob and clob columns.The table 2 has same structure like table 1 and the table 2 is empty.
I have created the mapping and connected directly from the source table to the target table.Also , I have created a error table for the target table table. As for the data rule method,I customized the error table to log the non unique rows.
When I start validating the mapping . I got the following error

1-->2-->3
So the query need to work in both the cases. Where root nod can act as an intermediate node or not.

Dec 10, 2012The source server (9.2) is /oracle/data/xxx the destination will be /u02/oradata/xxx how do I get the imp to change the paths.
I know you can't do db_file_name_convert, as that only works in dataguard with rman, and it looks like you can only set compatible down to 10.2, it's a very small DB, (5Mb) but it's a live license server DB, I need it intact.
I tried a straight import, but that just barfed with "IMP-00015: following statement failed because the object already exists:" on every statement.
EDIT: it's lying, the /oracle path doesn't exist, just FYI.

I keep getting an error:
"The file 'f:folder.sql' does not exist."
Is there a special character I need to put in there for the spaces? How can I get this to work?
