Application Express :: Changing Image Prefix In 4.1

I installed APEX 4.1 with EPG on Oracle linux 6 and for some reason I want to change image prefix from */i/* to */i4/*.
I browsed to apex/utilities and logged in sqlplus as sysdba and run the file:
@reset_image_prefix.sql choosing */i4/* as my new prefix.
then i tried:
select id, flow_image_prefix from apex_040100.wwv_flows; all application now have the prefix /i4/ but when I go to http://myserver:8080/apex nothing is displayed !!!!
when i change */i4/* back to */i/* everything is back to normal...

Any problem using 4.2's One Level Tabs - Content Frame page where you have a parent region (of type content frame Body Container ) while number of child regions (of type Hide & Show Region - Borderless ), if you want to re-order them by changing the sequence, it has no effect when you run the page.
The regions still show in the same order top to bottom as it did before the update of sequences. Heading links (to show/hide child regons in content frames) has the same ordering as before.

Have got basic form on a table and have a textarea which holds Notes added by user.
So Notes database field is updated on Save / Apply changes button being pressed.But would really like any text added / appended to the Notes field to be prefixed by userid and date / timestamp.
Is it possible via dynamic actions or Javascript to have any new text added / typed to be auto prefixed as per above.
Would only want the first key press in the filed to trigger the auto-prefix and if added text was deleted then the auto prefix to be deleted as well ?? If user doesn't press Save / Apply changes obviously want to leave existing Notes as is.

Im my application, after login, I have a hidden & protected item whose value I am setting based on a logic. Also I would like to access this item's value in a application process, so session will have this value. Now I do not want anybody to be able to change the value of this item. For Eg, if my item was P1_RESP, I was able to change its value in the following way, I have an edit link on somr IR, where I redirect to another page passing some values and the URL looks like : [URL] After the browser loads, I can edit the above URL to below and click enter, [URL]

I have a tabbed form that I need to conditionally disable rows (making them read only). I'm using Javascript to set the attributes of the fields that need to be set.A request was made to make the font color of the read only fields black so that they're easier to read.I'm not able to get the font changed to black on the fields that are Select Lists in Internet Explorer. They are staying gray, however, they are set to black in Firefox. The JavaScript code for one of the Select List is:

I have a page, Say page 1 ..and from that page 1 I go to a different page Say page 2 which is open like a modal window. Now what i need is i need to make a change in the first page that is page 1 ..from page 2 ..
I need to change a value of status field which is in page 1 to Say p100_status ... I think i might have to use application items to accomplish this.. So i Use the following method..

I have noticed several posts here on the topic of image path in APEX.I have just upgrated to APEX 2.2.3,Uploaded an image via the application into the default images are, nothing too fancy,Trying to show this image in the logo area of the application, The image will not show.
This is hosted with a hosting firm, so I am not running the software on my own, just administering the workspace.In application user interface, I have the Logo field set to:
<img src="#APP_IMAGES#KKC.jpeg" type="image/jpeg" />I tried "#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#
also, and same issue.When I want to assign an image to a list item, it works because I simply have to pick/select from available images in the folder.But in this case, there is no selecting of the image as an option. I must supply the path.Read the documentation, and some cases here, and still no solution. This seems to be a known issue.

change the color of a row in APEX SQL report. Change Colour of Row - Oracle APEX SQL Report...It's a bit outdated, and trying to figure out how to get to this page: URL.....where I can conditionally set background color.
I am using theme 13 (legacy) and made a copy of the report region. Edited it but cannot find an equivalent section of that apex 3.1 screenshot.

I have a report linked to a form. The link column is currently ROWID and I want to change it to the Primary Key of the DB table, which is called ID.
I have done this before on a previous report/form where that ID was a display column and it works fine. Now I'm trying to copy what I did, which is this:
On the report page, go to Interactive Report attributes, scroll down to Link Column, and for Item 1, change the Name and Value.
The problem is that Name does not list P52_ID. If I type it in, it throws an error when I run the page.
I think I added ID, which is also a Display column, later on, so I wonder whether Apex has a refresh issue and can't "see" P52_ID.

I got error "Upload New Image must be specified. Click browse to select an image from your local computer" while i upload image in shared components>image>create ...
my logo is saved in local drive D. when i browse file and click to upload it gives error that i mentioned. This is happening with every uploading weather its image or weather its plugin.

I'm trying to create a functionality on my application that lets the user change their password whenever they want or when the password gets expired.
But to do that, first I need a Branch to the page "Password Change" whenever the login procedure returns "Password Expire", but when the user has an expired password he can't access none of the pages of the application.
My other problem is:
Even if I can get the user to be redirect to the "Password Change" page, I would need a function that validate his current expired password, because in order to alter his own, he would need to inform his current password and the new one he desires. If I was using Apex Authentication that would be very easy I think, but I'm obligate to use Database Account Authentication.

I have just started using Oracle Application Express 11g. On my new attempt I am able to develop a table, report and a form, but I am not able to display picture image on the form though the browse link is active.
I can load the file name from the location folder to the form but it does not display. When I click on APPLY CHANGE then everything disappears. My main problem is how to successfully configure the settings for image display.

I have a table which contain 3 columns, see below:
id primary key
pic1 blob
pic2 blog
there is 1 row in it(id=1), just for display 2 images.
Uploaded 2 images into above Blob fields by file browse function. Now, I want to show the 2 pictures in a Region by using display image item P1_AR, but it didn't work.
Based on: BLOB Columns specified in item source
Alternative Text Column: null
Filename Column: null
BLOB last update Column: nullSource used: Only when current value in session state is null
Source type: SQL Query(return single value)
Source value or express: select dbms_lob.getlength(PIC) from cp_pic where id=1
I got the error below after runing:
ORA-20999: P1_AR has to have a valid BLOB column as source

I have created a few flash charts using APEX4.2. Is there a way for the user to view the chart and then email it as an inline image to someone? I know that the user can save the chart as PDF file, then send it as an attachment via Outlook ( or similar system), but can I integrate these manual steps to one ( template), similar to the IR report's download feature ?

We have apex application with one record report that shows image.We use database procedure to show image.And call it in apex like:
'<img src="show_image?p_id=' || NVL(dp.id, 0) || '" height="200" width="200" />' as image
But the image is not shown. We only see broken image icon.With right click on broken icon, we can save it and it's actual image we want to display.
If we call procedure like: URL.....
If we use the same procedure on another table with images which are smaller, then the image is shown.Minimum image length in table A is (DBMS_ LOB.getlength (file)): 105243..Maximum image length in table B is: 1702. URL....

I have installed Oracle 11g XE . After this , i have upgraded to Apex 4.2 All it's working fine, but..... by default XE installs and configure apex to use embebed pl/sql gateway.
In this scenario, the images are stored directly in the database within the oracle XML DB repository. This may be a problem because XE have a 11GB limit and my apex aplication is simple, but it may upload pictures for customers, etc, and in this schenma the pictures will consume space in the database instead consuming in the linux filesystem.Can i install HTTP server in a 11g XE and reconfigure apexr?, or can i change to apache+listener? or more easy....can i upload images outside the XML DB in my apex application easily?

I have just created the basic employee information form in which i upload the photograph of the employee. The photograph gets uploaded but it does not display properly. I have already referred the sample database application to display the image. Moreover, i have followed the same steps as it is used to display the product image in that application. Still i am unable to get result. I am getting following output:

I'm working on Apex 4.1.1.00.23 in a 11g XE Data Base, I want to display a Image in a Report, I can do it using the "+BLOB Download Format Mask+", but the images displays at original size and I want to display them smaller.
I've read that you have to create a procedure, a SYNONYM and call them in the src of the img tag. as Zsuzsi Vadasz mentions here [URL] But I remember that I was able to create some items in reports with Apex functions, I think they were from APEX_ITEM Package, so I want to know if there is a way to create the "+Display Image+" item with one function of APEX.
