How can I tell Apex to use an image as the background for a page? This particular page needs to be more visually interesting due to the audience that will be viewing it. I'm using Apex 4.2.2 and Oracle 11g.

I have a table which contain 3 columns, see below:
id primary key
pic1 blob
pic2 blog
there is 1 row in it(id=1), just for display 2 images.
Uploaded 2 images into above Blob fields by file browse function. Now, I want to show the 2 pictures in a Region by using display image item P1_AR, but it didn't work.
Based on: BLOB Columns specified in item source
Alternative Text Column: null
Filename Column: null
BLOB last update Column: nullSource used: Only when current value in session state is null
Source type: SQL Query(return single value)
Source value or express: select dbms_lob.getlength(PIC) from cp_pic where id=1
I got the error below after runing:
ORA-20999: P1_AR has to have a valid BLOB column as source
I want to set image in back ground.but there no option in properties.how to set back ground.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a tabular form and have changed some row background colours by using the Column Template sectiom in the report template
i.e
<td #ALIGNMENT# headers="#COLUMN_HEADER#" class="t16data" style="background-color:#FFFF33">#COLUMN_VALUE#</td>
with '#ASSIGNMENT_ID#' = 99 as the condition
This changes the colour but when I move the mouse over the row it removes the colour.
I was confuse about oracle applet parameter form that's in formsweb.cfg at line
# Forms applet parameter
background=C:imagea.jpg
but when i run oracle form it's still not appear image that i want to appear with a.jpg . how to change background of oracle form.
I created a javascript to change background color upon double click on particular cell, and it works for normal tabular form.However I created another tabular form using APEX_ITEM and unable to replicate the same behaviour.. how to do that if I'm using APEX_ITEM?

Button and dynamic action are on page 305. I can now open Page 306 as modal window but the page will close immediately.
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
In the login page, I want to add a text "Register" that when clicked will send the user to another page to register.
With a button, its simple because its inbuilt there,but I do not want a button,just this: Register

I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *FROM valid_dbWHERE username = :FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How do I accomplish this?
I have different public page (page1) and different page for authorized user(page5).Upon successful login after process validation ,computation it should navigate to authorized user page 5 but the branching does work it keeps on going to page 1 .
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded our test APEX environment from 3.2.1 to 4.1.1.00.23. Everything went smoothly - I have only one small but annoying problem. In both administration and administration services some background graphics are not displayed. This issue occurs only under Mozilla Firefox (in MS IE it OK). The application frontend is OK in both browsers.
Under Firefox, I inspected the sourcecode in Firebug and the relative links to images. e.g.
background: url("../apex/builder/bg-region-darkblue-r.gif") no-repeat scroll
show message "Failed to load the given URL".
somehow related to the fact that our application is accessed via apache proxy. Because when I open the administration and/or administration services page in FF directly on the server, it displays correctly (incl. images).
But the network (Apache proxy) configuration is exactly the same as in the previous version of APEX where we had no problem. Something must have changed in the sourcecode of the new version.

Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection

View 0 Replies View RelatedI installed APEX 4.1 with EPG on Oracle linux 6 and for some reason I want to change image prefix from */i/* to */i4/*.
I browsed to apex/utilities and logged in sqlplus as sysdba and run the file:
@reset_image_prefix.sql choosing */i4/* as my new prefix.
then i tried:
select id, flow_image_prefix from apex_040100.wwv_flows; all application now have the prefix /i4/ but when I go to http://myserver:8080/apex nothing is displayed !!!!
when i change */i4/* back to */i/* everything is back to normal...
I got error "Upload New Image must be specified. Click browse to select an image from your local computer" while i upload image in shared components>image>create ...

I have just started using Oracle Application Express 11g. On my new attempt I am able to develop a table, report and a form, but I am not able to display picture image on the form though the browse link is active.
I can load the file name from the location folder to the form but it does not display. When I click on APPLY CHANGE then everything disappears. My main problem is how to successfully configure the settings for image display.
I have created a few flash charts using APEX4.2. Is there a way for the user to view the chart and then email it as an inline image to someone? I know that the user can save the chart as PDF file, then send it as an attachment via Outlook ( or similar system), but can I integrate these manual steps to one ( template), similar to the IR report's download feature ?

But the image is not shown. We only see broken image icon.With right click on broken icon, we can save it and it's actual image we want to display.
If we call procedure like: URL.....

How do I center a button within a region? I tried 'align="center"' but this seemed to be ignored. The button is at the left of the screen. Also, what are the 'display points' (Page Template Region Position 1-8) used for, and why is there a specification for column position of 1-9? Could these be attributes that will allow my button to be centered on the window instead of on the left?
