Application Express :: Conditional Display With Re Captcha Plugin

I implemented the re Captcha plugin and it works ok. What I want to do is, on the same page where the captcha is displayed, to have a report region that is displayed conditionally based on the captcha result.
More specifically, the page has two items for user input (the captcha and a text item) and a Submit button. If the captcha is successful, then the text item will be submitted and the region displayed. The problem I'm running into is that the text item is always submitted regardless of the captcha.

We have just upgraded from APEX 4.0.1 to APEX 4.2. The installation and migration of the applications went very well (after installing the patch for the import of the workspaces :-) ). But we have met a problem - we have a Google reCaptcha plugin on 101 page (authentication page). It has runs pretty well on 4.0.1, but after upgrade whole plugin item just has disappeared from 101. Actually it has disappeared from IE9, IE8, Mozilla 16 and Google chrome. The only browser that is displaying reCaptcha is Opera.
why this happened and how we can fix it? The client wants to make some tests this week and we have to fix the situation.

I would like to convert some existing application popup LOV items that currently use a static list for the LOV values.I have not been able to find instructions on how to use the existing popup static list (or create a new static list) with the new SuperLOV plug-in. Is this possible to do?

I have a calendar region using SkillBuilders plug-in. When click on an event, a modal page opens showing the event details and allowing the user to modify it. Recently, I enabled Session State Protection in my pages, so I changed my query in the calendar region to use the APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL function when generating the URL to edit the event. Now, when I click on an event, the URL looks like: [URL]....
p=34925:3:102130990572822::::P3_ID:41&cs=3DE8BFFE2FCA925B7716361D6ECFC546B If you notice the URL has & before the check-sum (cs), instead of just & and it is causing an error on my page. The reason is that the plug-in is escaping special characters. If I change the source of the plug-in to use this:

Is there a way to make a button conditional on the existence of another app in the same workspace. What I am trying to do is have a MAIN app and several other MODULE apps in the same workspace. Then a button on a form in the MAIN app that will redirect to a specific page in one of the MODULE apps. If the MODULE app does not exist, meaning not installed, then the button would be invisible.

I have an item that does not save to the database.it is conditional read only based on the value in another column, when it is not read only it displays as a Select list.. then whatever is chosen triggers a dynamic action that sets other items.so setting it as a display only is not an option.
after upgrading from 4.0 to apex 4.2 this gives error: Session state protection violation: This may be caused by manual alteration of protected page...
the only workaround I have found is to set the Read Only to none, then create a dynamic action that conditionally sets the field to disabled..This works, but my problem with it is that it looks different than the read only..read only was Black Text and no textbox..disabled is a text box with greyed out text that is hard to read for some of the users..

Apex 4.2I currently have a report column in a classic report that has a Column Formatting Attribute as below. This works fine it shows a map icon that when you click on it goes off to google maps and put 2 geo points on a map. However I need to change this report column so that the HTML expression will be different dependent on the value returned so if the column returns 1 then the HTML Expression will be slightly different.

I think I can do this in the report source directly with a case statement and include the HTML in that for the column but how do you handle all the quotes within the SQL statement. e.g.

various iterations of that large html string but I do not know how to format it because off all the quotes?

For our customer we have build a custom login page. The form we currently made has de following items:
- Username
- Password
- Select list for selecting the task type
When the customer enters his username, automatically the select list of the task type will be refreshed to get only the task type where the customer has the rights to do it. This part works...It can occur that a customer has only one task type (which is default) then we want to hide the select list. This part doesn't work
We used APEX version 4.1.1.What we did is:
- One action item to refresh the selection list (works)
- One action item to hide the selection list by starting the application (works)
- One action item to show the selection list only when the selection list has more than one result. For this part we used the conditional part of the action item (Function returning a boolean).
In the query (inside the function) we want to use the entered username, looking into the application in the session state I saw the correct username, but for some reason the function cannot use this entered username, it becomes empty. When I use a hardcoded username the code works.
Why I cannot use a username into the conditional part of the Action Item.

I had a few regions on my page, the 2nd did not start a new row so it appeared horizontally where possible.During some experimentation, I created a new region with a sequence in between that started new row, but even when that region was conditionally never, my original 2nd region started on new row.
Original:
Region 1 - Region 2(empty) - Region 3 (new row/col no)>
New region added:

We have an issue after migrating to apex 4.2.1. We have a select list and use another couple of dummy items to be used as its label instead of giving the text value to the LABEL control. Only one of the dummy items is shown as a label for the select list conditionally based on another value. It was working fine with the earlier versions upto 4.1, but with the introduction of grid in 4.2, its now displaying the select list on a new row (ie the lable in one row and the select list on the next row).
However, we really would like to solve this by having a way to display the label of the select list either in "required format style" or as an "optional style". The display style should be determined only at runtime.
Example. Say P100_MY_SELECT_LIST is the select list
The label for this item is "My Select List Label"
I have another dummy item P100_DUMMY
if P100_dummy = 1 then the label "My Select List Label" should be displayed in red and with an * *My Select List LabelOtherwise it should be in black and without * My Select List Label.

I'm using the Oracle Emp,Dept tables as my sample. I want to display certain table column values based on some criteria. If met, display those values otherwise display other column values
For example:
So when dept.deptno=10, I want to display these 2 columns values
1. dept.deptno
2. dept.dname
otherwise, display these 2 columns values
1. dept.loc
2. null
Can this be done with one case, decode or "other" type of structure going thru the table one time??

I have two Select Lists P58_TYPE_DOC (it shows for users that have not adm profile) and P58_TYPE_DOC_ADM (it shows just for administrator).
On my Page proprieties I have on HTML Header this code :
onload="show_fk_facture('P58_TYPE_DOC');show_fk_facture('P58_TYPE_DOC_ADM');"
I have to execute the java script when the page loads, but I cant execute the function for both items in the same time.
Because one of the items will be hidden, and the java script won't be able to find it.
I tried to use "if isNAN('P58_TYPE_DOC') else ....." but it doesnt work.

I am using APEX 4.0, my regions need to be displayed at "Display Point: Display Template Body 2" in column 2.I have 2 regions I want displayed horizontally, side by side.I want to use a parent region to contain them. I create my parent region, called it A, template = Reports, assign it to sequence = 10.I create my 2 sub region (B) and (C), sequence 20 and 30, template = Navigation, picking parent = A.By default, B displays above C. URL....
I copied the Navigation template, creating a new one called NAV2 and added this in the sub-region template section:(this cut/paste) doesnt display well here: it is the exact DIV begin/end block as posted above.

I am developing an apex application using the apex cloud (apex.oraclecorp.com). I am using the DB link to show the data on APEX UI. I have a blob data which is stored in the remote DB, and I want to display the BLOB data as text on a popup or a new page or a download link. I tried using display only item but APEX throws an error saying that remote DB is not supported. Also, It would be great if I can just show a download link on the UI for the BLOB data, again when I try to select the format as BLOB in the column attributes, When I give the table@dblink as BLOB table I get an error saying that "table@DBLINK not found". Is there any way to display the BLOB data as text or download it which is present in my local DB?

I would like to display the row number in the report region at the beginning of each row for each page (based on the number of rows to display per page).
So if the number of rows per page is 15, I would want to show each row from 1 to 15. When going to the next page (16 - 31) I would like to show row 1 to 15 again next to each row. And if the number of rows per page is 20, I want to see row numbers 1 to 20 on each page.
Since I believe an Update button only processes the current page, I would like to then use this row numbers (1 - 15) to get the values of the displayed column for each row to perform an insert to another table.

I've got an interactive report with detail and icon view enabled. How do I get the current display state (user looks at report, detail or icon view) out of the apex dictionary ?Is there any place in APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR_... where I can find it ? I'm on APEX 4.0.2. Upgrade to APEX 4.2.2 is planned this fall.

I have just started using Oracle Application Express 11g. On my new attempt I am able to develop a table, report and a form, but I am not able to display picture image on the form though the browse link is active.
I can load the file name from the location folder to the form but it does not display. When I click on APPLY CHANGE then everything disappears. My main problem is how to successfully configure the settings for image display.

I have a table which contain 3 columns, see below:
id primary key
pic1 blob
pic2 blog
there is 1 row in it(id=1), just for display 2 images.
Uploaded 2 images into above Blob fields by file browse function. Now, I want to show the 2 pictures in a Region by using display image item P1_AR, but it didn't work.
Based on: BLOB Columns specified in item source
Alternative Text Column: null
Filename Column: null
BLOB last update Column: nullSource used: Only when current value in session state is null
Source type: SQL Query(return single value)
Source value or express: select dbms_lob.getlength(PIC) from cp_pic where id=1
I got the error below after runing:
ORA-20999: P1_AR has to have a valid BLOB column as source
