Application Express :: Message Display Before Submit To Record

I have created two page process with two buttons "APPROVE" AND "CANCEL" button. first page process running approve invoice procedure on approve button and second page process running cancel invoice procedure on cancel button. i want to display massage before approve invoice and cancel invoice (DO you want to approve invoice) on approve button and (Do you want to cancel invoice on ) cancel button.
Our application has a homepage that displays results of several SQL statements that are defined as reports. One report in particular should only display a custom message when Count of Invoices having a particular status > 0, and not the actual invoice count itself.
I have gotten the layout to not display the count but I need to be able to display a custom message that says "Problem Invoices exist. Please see Invoices Report for more information." I've looked over the Report Attributes definition page but I cannot find how to display this custom message.
By clicking on a button on my page, I execute a Dynamic Action. That Dynamic Action consists of several True Actions, one of which is Execute PL/SQL code where I execute a procedure. I'm doing this without submitting the page, and that works fine.
However, I would like to display an error message on the top of the page, in case my procedure returns an error, and I would like to do that without submitting the page.
I have one requirement.i.e I want to display 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?[YES/NO]' message when record status is changed.In my form if i enter some value to the actual qty(db item) and press 'x' button it does't prompting 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?' message.
For displaying this message i have written following code in the APP_CUSTOM body:

if i write above code in the app_custom body it's prompting the above message.But if i click 'YES' it does't save the records?
i m using apex 4.1, and want to submit page when page load. i tried dynamic action but it continuously refreshing page. is there any other javascript or anything else from which i submit page on load
dynamic action used, event on load and action submit page but it continuously submitting page.
How i can show the new added rows to tabular form after submit? what I want is to show my customer new added rows that recently added. but according to how I sort the tabular form, the new added rows distributed in multi pagination in tabular form. I'm not good in English, excuse me for my mistakes. I use apex 4.2.0 On Oracle 11g r2 on windows Server 2008
We have an application that has "After Submit" and AJAX "On-Demand" processes. We need the "After Submit" to fire and complete first, set an application item (by referencing the next value in a sequence), and then fire the "On-Demand" processes. We have the sequence number set accordingly, with all of the "After Submit" processes given a lower (APEX) sequence number than the "On-Demand" processes; however, it seems the "After Submit" processes are still not firing and completing because only intermittently are the "On-Demand" processes able to access the application item's value--80% of the time this value is simply blank. Making matters more complicated is that the application item is derived from an Oracle sequence, so in my "On-Demand" processes, I cannot simply re-run some of the same logic used in one of the "After Submit" processes that sets the sequence--the sequence may only be set once, and only by this "After Submit" process; we have no choice in that regard. Is there any way possible in APEX to 100% force processes to fire AND complete, one after another, in the order in which they are listed by their (APEX) sequence? In other words, if we have this:
(APEX) Seq Name & Process Type
1 process A ("After Submit") 2 process B ("After Submit")--this sets application item :XYZ 3 process C ("On-Demand)--this uses application item :XYZ and MUST have this item value available to do any processing Can we instruct APEX to fire process A, complete it, fire process B, complete it, and only then, fire process C?
I'm editing, say, list of my employees in a tabular form opened in Skillbuilders Modal Page. I have to execute same javascript code after the changes in the tabular form have been submitted.
I've tried using a Dynamic Action fired on Page Load, but that gets executed before the update is completed.
I have a master detail screen where the detail region is a tabular form. I want to create a new master and detail records at the same time. The master uses a get PK process on submit that gets the PK from a sequence.
Obviously I need to set this value in the FK column on the new detail records on submit also, but I just cannot see how this is done. Fine for updates etc, but this is when the master is new as well. A two stage process is not an option here.

A page has a display-only text item that is populated when a rare exceptional condition arises. I'd like for the text to be colored red. While editing the item, in the Element region,
I populated the item "HTML Form Element Attributes" by selecting 'style="font-color:red"' from the drop-down list. When the text displays, however, the color is still the default black. What do I need to do to turn the text red?
In my Application I have a tabular form and they other I edited 1 row & 1 entry and clicked on the update button. The message on the top says:
16 rows updated, 0 rows inserted (the standard message).
I do not have any page processes before or after applyMRU and its one of those freaky one-off issue that I can't reproduce again. Update 1 row and shows 15 updates.
Here are some info regarding my tabular form:
8 columns, pagination enabled for 20+ rows, no insert or delete functionailty, just updates.
Statuswhen they entered the details and submitted the form the data will be stored in LEAVE table. later on the applied leave will be approved or rejected and the STATUS column will be updated. Is this possible to show the last leave applied status as a alert message when they are logging in ?
In my application, I have SSO authentication. However, I also want to restrict access to certain pages (tabs). What would be the best approach for this? Secondly, How can we hide/display tabs in the application?

I have a requirement to view the PDF content in the apex page region, I am using Apex 3.2 and Oracle 10 Enterprise edition. I Uploaded the PDF file in the shared component under static file. Now i need to view the content of the PDF file. method to view the PDF content.

I am using APEX 4.0, my regions need to be displayed at "Display Point: Display Template Body 2" in column 2.I have 2 regions I want displayed horizontally, side by side.I want to use a parent region to contain them. I create my parent region, called it A, template = Reports, assign it to sequence = 10.I create my 2 sub region (B) and (C), sequence 20 and 30, template = Navigation, picking parent = A.By default, B displays above C. URL....
I copied the Navigation template, creating a new one called NAV2 and added this in the sub-region template section:(this cut/paste) doesnt display well here: it is the exact DIV begin/end block as posted above.

I changed regions (B) and (C) to use template = NAV2, without any change in display behavior.I read further in the above post where it was recommended to reset the clear property, so I changed the above style like to: style="float: left;clear:none;".
I am developing an apex application using the apex cloud (apex.oraclecorp.com). I am using the DB link to show the data on APEX UI. I have a blob data which is stored in the remote DB, and I want to display the BLOB data as text on a popup or a new page or a download link. I tried using display only item but APEX throws an error saying that remote DB is not supported. Also, It would be great if I can just show a download link on the UI for the BLOB data, again when I try to select the format as BLOB in the column attributes, When I give the table@dblink as BLOB table I get an error saying that "table@DBLINK not found". Is there any way to display the BLOB data as text or download it which is present in my local DB?

I would like to display the row number in the report region at the beginning of each row for each page (based on the number of rows to display per page).
So if the number of rows per page is 15, I would want to show each row from 1 to 15. When going to the next page (16 - 31) I would like to show row 1 to 15 again next to each row. And if the number of rows per page is 20, I want to see row numbers 1 to 20 on each page.
Since I believe an Update button only processes the current page, I would like to then use this row numbers (1 - 15) to get the values of the displayed column for each row to perform an insert to another table.
I've got an interactive report with detail and icon view enabled. How do I get the current display state (user looks at report, detail or icon view) out of the apex dictionary ?Is there any place in APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR_... where I can find it ? I'm on APEX 4.0.2. Upgrade to APEX 4.2.2 is planned this fall.
I implemented the re Captcha plugin and it works ok. What I want to do is, on the same page where the captcha is displayed, to have a report region that is displayed conditionally based on the captcha result.
More specifically, the page has two items for user input (the captcha and a text item) and a Submit button. If the captcha is successful, then the text item will be submitted and the region displayed. The problem I'm running into is that the text item is always submitted regardless of the captcha.
