View 1 RepliesI need my Forms 10g List of Values(LOV) not to repeat values.
Test Case : MY Lov record Group Query is : select student_name from students;
Students Table contains Id:1 student_name : Deepak ;
Id:2 student_name : Rajeev ; Id:3 student_name : Rohit
now on selecting the LOV thru forms i select "Deepak". On creating one more record i want that LOv should show only two records Rajeev and Rohit and thereon with more records creation.
It should function all this without committing the records to database.
I am creating a record with the items - S_No, Product_Name, Selling_Qty, Price.
Checking the total qty (Tot_Qty) from the purchase stock - table1 and already sold out qty (Sold_Qty) of the product from table2.
Consider the following values: Tot_Qty = 200; Sold_Qty = 50;
Now i create a first record of the form as follows: here on selecting the Product_name from LOV, will display the Selling_Qty item - which can be edited (Selling_Qty = Tot_Qty - Sold_Qty) and its price.
S_No Product_Name Selling_Qty Price
1. KeyBoard 50(150) 200
2. KeyBoard 30(150) 200
3. KeyBoard 50(150) 200
Note:
[value given within () are displayed automatically after selecting the prod]
My prob is, when i am entering next record, it displays the same 150 as qty, which have to be 100. After selecting the product from LOV, it should calculate & validate as shown below: which means, previous record value of Selling_Qty also have to be subtracted and displayed.
S_No Product_Name Selling_Qty Price
1. KeyBoard 50(150) 200
2. KeyBoard 30(100) 200
3. KeyBoard 50(70) 200
Is there any built-in functions to retrieve previous record value?
CREATE TABLE TEST

STR NUMBER,
ED NUMBER
)
Insert into TEST (NAME, STR, ED)
Values ('raj', 2, 4);

raj 2
raj 3
raj 4
kri 1
kri 2
kri 3
My procedure proc_ex is in when_validate_item trigger
I have one Multi Record data block in my form with values in its items

75 25 85 90
30 56 78 80
how to populate these multi record datablock values to Record Group ???..Eagerly waiting for your Replies
Using 11gR2, windows 7 client machine. I need to update the table missing_volume (below), where I need to calculate the estimated_missing column. The calculation of estimated_missing column for current month needs previous month numbers (as commented inside the code below). I want the output like the first table. Notice the records start from January, hence estimated_missing for January can't be calculated, but for the the rest of the months it can be done by simply changing 'yr' and 'mnth' (commented inside the code towards the end).
yr mnth location volume actual_missing expected_missing estimated_missing
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2013 January loc1 48037 24 57
2013 February loc1 47960 3660 53 24
2013 March loc1 55007 78 57 28
2013 April loc1 54345 72 58 77The code:
UPDATE missing_volume g
[Code]....
The code does calculate correct number for 'estimated_missing' as I run the code for each month, but the problem is while updating the current month it also erases the record for previous month. E.g. as can be seen below, after I updated April the column only has the record for April, previous month record is gone, similarly updating March removed February, etc. I can't understand why it's happening!! Here is the output I get:
yr mnth location volume actual_missing expected_missing estimated_missing
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2013 January loc1 48037 24 57
2013 February loc1 47960 3660 53
2013 March loc1 55007 78 57
2013 April loc1 54345 72 58 77
why it's happening (I mean where is the flaw in the code) and how to get the desired output (first table).
CREATE TABLE F_TIME( PERIOD_ID NUMBER, PERIOD_NAME VARCHAR2(30 CHAR), PERIOD_YEAR NUMBER, PERIOD_TYPE VARCHAR2(30 CHAR), CREATION_DATE DATE, UPDATE_DATE DATE, UPDATE_BY NUMBER); SET DEFINE OFF;Insert into F_TIME (PERIOD_ID, PERIOD_NAME, PERIOD_YEAR, PERIOD_TYPE, CREATION_DATE, UPDATE_DATE) Values (16, 'Q4', 2012, 'q', TO_DATE('04/20/2013 17:41:28', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), TO_DATE('04/20/2013 17:41:28', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'));Insert into F_TIME
[code]...
if i pass 30 then it will return period id=16 data
I am using lov for one item on my form the form is in tabular format
when i select the value in lov for the item in first row it should not be present agin in that lov for the next item
thus i want to prevent the duplication on Lov level
How to achieve "Prev_Value" column as shown below without using ORACLE analytic functions
I have records stored in table for various categories and based on ID / Name / Office / Product / Category combination I want to achieve previous value column through efficient SQL query
Test Scripts as below
CREATE TABLE TEST_Prev
(
ID1 NUMBER(3),
Name1 VARCHAR2(10),
OFFICE VARCHAR2(20),
PRODUCT VARCHAR2(20),
Overall VARCHAR2(20),
DATE1 DATE,
VALUE1 NUMBER(1)
);
commit;
[code]......
Expected output as in attached sheet.
I have a sub query (already dervived from several other tables) that has a list of children in with the date they started their course (tableofchildren). Child IDs may be duplicated in this query but each record will have unique start dates per child ID.
I have a second sub query which lists workers involved with the children in the first query (tableofworkers). A worker may be responsible for more than one child but has the unique child in the record to identify involvement with the child.
I need to join these queries together to return the child's record with the WorkerName and the AllocatedStartDate of the worker who was most recently involved with the child prior to the date (EnteredCourseDate) the child started their course (OutputWanted) - the worker associated with the child when they started their course.
A couple of points - I need to deploy this into another reporting application that doesn't support cursors etc or the 'With' operator. Also, I tend to join tables/queries in the Where clause so if it's possible that way that would be great.

I am using forms 10g...

and (TEST_STUD_CRSE_DETAIL.CRSE_TYPE = TEST_COURSES.CRSE_TYPE);
end;
but if the student has ONLY ONE course it WORKS FINE!
how to select 1st record from duplicate vales in a table.
If we created one table with out primary key column In form in search block have uwi value and top_depth value when i enter uwi and top_depth value then when i click search button then it will display all values in master block.
but here duplicate values r there.
SQL> select rownum,uwi,top_depth,base_depth,test_start_date from well_pre_header;
ROWNUM UWI TOP_DEPTH BASE_DEPTH TEST_STAR
---------- ---------------- ---------- ---------- ---------
1 100 453.05 458.08 09-SEP-10
2 100 200 288 23-AUG-00
3 1001 200 289 25-AUG-01
4 1001 200 201 24-MAY-87
if uwi = 1001 and top_depth=200 and i will click search button it should be display 3 record & when i click next button then it will show 4th record.
I am developing form, but there is issue when I Press F11 to query data.I make trigger form when-new-record-instance to assign values for item.But when i Press F11 then Block no clear.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on Oracle forms 10g (Windows 7 OS).I have got one requirement to show one LOV for COLOR table. Say i have three colors BLACK, RED, BLUE in color table. Suppose in a multi record block if a user selects BLACK from a lov for one record then for the next record lov it should show only RED and BLUE. How to filter the COLOR from a LOV record group query which are already selected?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have employee salary table which will have salary of an employee on daily basis (only working days). Below is the table structure:
emp_salary
----------
emp_id NUMBER(15) NOT NULL
effective_date DATE NOT NULL
salary NUMBER(15) NOT NULL
Primary key - emp_id, effective_date
This table is yearly partitioned
I have to find out how long the salary is not changed for an employee from given date, and last salary. I am using below query to do this:

The cost of this query is 1677 and it is taking around 60 msec to complete. When I run this query for around 2000 employees in a loop it is taking around 3 minutes to complete.
The main bottleneck of this query is in the with clause where I am processing the entire history instead of stopping after first change.
I have a multi record control block (basically a text item displaying 6 records) where user enters values and I want to process the values using pre-insert trigger.
I want to read value in each record and then do some tasks using a pre-insert trigger before I commit the values. To navigate between the records I was using first_record, next_record, clear_record built-ins but it gives errors like "40737-illegalrestricted procedure next_record in pre-insert trigger".

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have used sql for my school projects and work projects. not too extensively though. I came across this issue and read a lot of blogs but still not luck.
hopefully my issue can be solved here.
Data:
Sub_grp_nbr Prodt_ctgy_cd Extra_column
ABC123 05 1
ABC123 02 2
ABC012 05 3
ABC456 02 4
ABC456 05 5
ABC789 05 6
I need to obtain all the sub_grp_nbr's that have a prodt_ctgy_cd of 05 but not 02. so according to the data above, i should only get the results of where extra_column = 3 and 6

dbms_scheduler.create_job(job_name => 'jobu',
job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',

I have a fairly standard Purchase Order form which contains pre-loaded data (been uploaded from an XML file).When the Purchase Order is processed, the form updates a Price History table only if the Price on the PO_Details changes.The code for updating the price history table is contained in a PRE_UPDATE trigger on the PO_Details Data Block.
No other data changes on the PO_Details table.I now want to change this so that the Price History table is updated even if the price does not change i.e I want to create a history record for each record on the PO_Details irrespective of whether it was updated or not.
Is there an alternative trigger that I can move my code to (ie move it from PRE_UPDATE) to some other trigger that is fired for each PO_Details record even if there is no change.
I create a data block on a table when I am inserting new record only one record have been saved. Last record no longer exist.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a form w/a tab canvas. BlkA is on Tab1 and Blk2 is on Tab2. In BlkA I have several items that have when-validate-item triggers. However, the trigger does not fire when I enter a value into item1 of BlkA followed by clicking on Tab2. To solve, I placed validate(form_scope) in the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger. This works well with invoking the validation. However, focus remains on Tab2 (Blk2).
I would like focus to return to failed validation item in Blk1. I can capture the block name using :system.cursor_block in the Post-Block trigger of BlkA, assign that value to a form parameter and when a validation fails via the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger I can return user back to BlkA(Tab1). However, I need direction on how to return user to the specific item in BlkA that failed validation
