Forms :: Dynamic Record Group To Filter Selected Values In A Multirecord Block From A LOV

I am working on Oracle forms 10g (Windows 7 OS).I have got one requirement to show one LOV for COLOR table. Say i have three colors BLACK, RED, BLUE in color table. Suppose in a multi record block if a user selects BLACK from a lov for one record then for the next record lov it should show only RED and BLUE. How to filter the COLOR from a LOV record group query which are already selected?

I want to create a Dynamic record group and associate it to a LOV.for example: I want that for a set of people A, i want to fire the query in lov:
select * from emp where (condition 1)
and for another set of people B, I want to fire
select * from emp where (condition 2)...
How could I achieve it?

i have a question regarding dynamic record group creation.I have a text item(department) attached with LOV ,and a list item is also there.i want whatever the department name i will select from ma LOV according to that corresponding manager name should be display in the list item.

My procedure proc_ex is in when_validate_item trigger
I have one Multi Record data block in my form with values in its items
I need to Populate multi record block values to one Record Group using
add_group_row,
add_group_column,
set_group_char_cell to populate values to record group
Let us suppose my multi record data block looks like
item1 item2 item3 item4
10 20 50 70
25 15 30 45
45 90 47 38
75 25 85 90
30 56 78 80

I have a multi record control block (basically a text item displaying 6 records) where user enters values and I want to process the values using pre-insert trigger.
I want to read value in each record and then do some tasks using a pre-insert trigger before I commit the values. To navigate between the records I was using first_record, next_record, clear_record built-ins but it gives errors like "40737-illegalrestricted procedure next_record in pre-insert trigger".

I have developed a Form for the most part everything is working as expected. However, there is a search functionality that is giving me problems. The issue is that when the user enters search criteria for last_name that has an apostrophe (O'brian) the search lov doesn't get populated because the dynamic record group is not getting created when the string has an apostrophe (ie O'brian). I have a dynamic record group that takes the user's search criteria and populates an LOV on the screen with the records that matched their criteria.
Here is the code that is behind my search button where the dynamic RG gets created. It works fine for all searches that don't contain an apostrophe.

I need to filter records in a datablock based on Yes or No criteria.So i created a listitem(INCLUDE_ZERO_QTY_ITEMS) for that and i am using following code in WHEN-LIST-CHANGED trigger.

I have 2 blocks, namely addsubject3rd and chosensubjects. I'm copying the selected records(this comes with checkboxes) from the 1st block to the second block. But what happened is that it copied all the records that are on the addsubject3rd. How can I copy only selected records(checkboxes) from addsubject3rd block to chosensubjects blocks?

I am working on a simple form which will get the user to fetch required columns of employee master.
For that i have created a form which will display the column names and select option. When user clicks on query, the form will display the selected columns in a block. After going thru if required the user can download it to excel.
As of now I do not have filtering option. For this I thought of creating view based on the selection and then fetch records from the view and display it in form.
To achieve this I would like to know How I create or replace a view dynamically based on values selected. I remember doing this sort of thing long back, but could not recollect it.

I have two control block i.e. class_register and student_info. In which student_info is multi-record block which contains stud_id, stud_name, stud_roll_no. Based on the class_register block, stud_id and stud_name is generated in the student_info table. Now I want to generate stud_roll_no automatically until the last record is present.

I created a shuttle and a textbox as described but the dynamic action is not clear. And It is not working for me. The steps are not so clear and i guess the javascript is not complete.

I am calling one record group to get the security permissions. That RC is associated with one SELECT query. That RC is already created and used before i call. I m just re-using the same. But my form/module dont have privilages to see the QUERY in that recrod group. I just want to see the query in side that record group. how to print the SELECT query from the record group.
p.s: That record group is built in run-time.

I am working on forms 6i, ebs 11i and data base 9i. I have below requirement to achieve.
I want to create a lov for a column called 'FORM'.
I have lookup for this as follows
lookup code meaning description
FORM FORM XXSMCINV_FORM
in the description, it's value set name.
I am manually checking the value set name and writing static record group.
Right now, i have static record group for this like below.
select ffvv.flex_value "FORM"
from fnd_flex_value_sets ffvs,fnd_flex_values_vl ffvv
where ffvs.flex_value_set_id=ffvv.flex_value_set_id
and ffvs.flex_value_set_name='XXSMCINV_FORM' order by flex_value;
It's working fine.
But in the lookup, they can add one more FORM like below.
LOOKUP_CODE MEANING DESCRIPTION
FORM FORM XXSMCINV_FORM
FORM1 FORM1 XXSMCINV_FORM1
Now i have to change the record group query manullay like below.
select ffvv.flex_value "FORM"
from fnd_flex_value_sets ffvs,fnd_flex_values_vl ffvv
where ffvs.flex_value_set_id=ffvv.flex_value_set_id
and ffvs.flex_value_set_name='XXSMCINV_FORM' order by flex_value;

Is there anyway i can make this automatic whenever they add new FORM lookup.
Is this possible to achieve using dynamic record group.

I have 2 tables T1, T2
T1 is having 2 columns t1_c1, t1_c2
T2 is having 3 columns t2_c1,t2_c2,t2_c3
I need to design a form which should be like
there must be a pop item (Dropdown menu) in a separate block.
If I select 1 from the pop item,
T1 with 2 columns should display in a tabular form.
If I select 2 from the pop item,
T2 with 3 columns should display and T1 with 2 columns should hide.
So the form should be dynamic based on the selected pop item. Is there any chance to do this?

I created 3 radio buttons and one list item. Different options will appear according to the radio button the user has clicked on. i've created 3 recordgroups and 3 LOV. the first two for seven_eleven and mannings work fine, but not for GNC. is it because there is only one option for list item in GNC? Must it be more than one? I've tried to another option as space but it still doesnt work.

As from the title can i high light some records in a data block? I am fetching almost 10 - 12 records in a datablock and it is working perfectly fine. but there are some records coming in the block which i want to make permanently red or dimmed just showing as they are black listed. is this possible?? or i have to try some other way??

My Requirements:

1. Non Database Data Block (layout type: form)
2. Database Data Block (layout type: Tabular)
3. in Non Database Data Block i add 3 Items.. on the basis of i get the records from database and show them into my into my 2nd Data Block...

i have two blocks called BLOCK1 AND BLOCK2
BLOCK1 is a multi record block with a field, FIELD_A
BLOCK2 is a multi record block with fields FIELD_B,FIELD_C,FIELD_D
i have a button on BLOCK1 called 'FETCH'.
The requirement is when_button_pressed on 'FETCH'. BLOCK2 must be populated for each record of BLOCK1. Population logic is based on, values from a database table TABLE_A which has got column values corresponding to all fields of BLOCK1 and BLOCK2.

I have a multi record block, which, once filled, I do not want to allow manual insertions from the last new record. For that, I do:
set_block_property('block name', insert_allowed, property_false)
The problem comes, when I want to change a checkbox item column from one record already informed.
I can not do that, after setting the block property, although I change item properties accordingly.
