I'm making a menu in my form, wherein it has FILE, TRANSACTION and REPORT. Under FILE it has BACK, and LOGOUT. In my back menu item, i want to go back to the previous block or previous module. I used previous_block but it's not working in some of my blocks.

I am creating a record with the items - S_No, Product_Name, Selling_Qty, Price.
Checking the total qty (Tot_Qty) from the purchase stock - table1 and already sold out qty (Sold_Qty) of the product from table2.
Consider the following values: Tot_Qty = 200; Sold_Qty = 50;
Now i create a first record of the form as follows: here on selecting the Product_name from LOV, will display the Selling_Qty item - which can be edited (Selling_Qty = Tot_Qty - Sold_Qty) and its price.

My prob is, when i am entering next record, it displays the same 150 as qty, which have to be 100. After selecting the product from LOV, it should calculate & validate as shown below: which means, previous record value of Selling_Qty also have to be subtracted and displayed.

Is there any built-in functions to retrieve previous record value?
I have a form w/a tab canvas. BlkA is on Tab1 and Blk2 is on Tab2. In BlkA I have several items that have when-validate-item triggers. However, the trigger does not fire when I enter a value into item1 of BlkA followed by clicking on Tab2. To solve, I placed validate(form_scope) in the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger. This works well with invoking the validation. However, focus remains on Tab2 (Blk2).
I would like focus to return to failed validation item in Blk1. I can capture the block name using :system.cursor_block in the Post-Block trigger of BlkA, assign that value to a form parameter and when a validation fails via the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger I can return user back to BlkA(Tab1). However, I need direction on how to return user to the specific item in BlkA that failed validation
I am using Oracle 10g Express Edition on Fedora core 5 32+ bit os. The problem is when I use the SQL Plus command line to make SQL statements I can not get the previously typed command back at the prompt when I use the up and down arrow keys on my keyboard. This is quite easy when I am using a shell, but here with this Oracle command line interface it is not working at all. Here is the example as what actually is happening whe I press the up or down arrow keys.

i have a master detail form, In Master block we have one field cheque amount and in Detail block we have field receiveable amount invoice wise. if company paid us a cheque amount we will enter this amount in Master block field Cheque amount and in detail block there will be invoice wise receivable amounts. i want to distribute the cheque amount in detail block invoice wise for example
Cheque amount in master block = 291
Invoice wise receiveable amount is as follows
Invoice No , receivable amount , Received amount

Result should be as follows:

Received amount field should be distributed according to the receivable amount when recevied amount = cheque amount then remaining will be 0.
I created a tab canvas and changed the background color of one of the tabs. Now I am unable to change it back to the default color.
I tried entering "None" in the Background Color property and even tried keeping the field blank. But it keeps on prompting me to enter a color value. Now it is looking funny with all the tabs in the default color and only one tab in some different color.
How do I get back the default color?
I have a multi record control block (basically a text item displaying 6 records) where user enters values and I want to process the values using pre-insert trigger.
I want to read value in each record and then do some tasks using a pre-insert trigger before I commit the values. To navigate between the records I was using first_record, next_record, clear_record built-ins but it gives errors like "40737-illegalrestricted procedure next_record in pre-insert trigger".
How do you repeat the same values to the next record from the previous record to reduce the user entry in d2k ??

I have in the same form display item that its value will be sitting according to the post trigger of the previous text field when i press the sort button i get frm-40735 post-text-item unhandled exception Ora-01403 error.

I am creating a form with 3 blocks.
Control block,
Header Block,
Detail Block.
First i have entered a record in the control block.
Then i navigate to header block,entered the first record for Header Block.
Then i navigate to Detail block,entered the first record for detail Block.
then i again navigate to Header Block..
Now the Problem comes....As i am Trying to enter second record for header block,the pop up comes as "Do you want to save the changes".
Condition 1:i dont want that message to appear for every header record i enter.
Condition 2:For every header record i enter,Corresponding detail record would have been entered.i want that detail records to be retained if i am clicking that header record as i have already created relationship for both header block and detail block.
I created one table with out primary key like well_1 .in that table have have more than 30 columns.

i did code like this in from in search panel. in taht form i will enter uwi and base values and iwill click search button.then it will display all record values in master block .after taht i will click next button then it will display next values(all values).

Em_code is a common key between theses tables.
on my form table 1 and 2 are the base main tables, due to the relationship, when i enter em_code on table 1 and query it, it shows data on both the table. Its a normal behavior in Master Detail block in forms.
When user enter em_code at form and there is no data found in table 2, obviously it show blank data block related to the table 2 and shows data in table 1 block, now i want an em_code details which stores in the table 3 automatically load in memory and populated in detail block. Is it possible ? and how can i do this.
In a Entry Screen I Require to Check the Value is Changed or not in a Block (A).
If the Value is Changed then Require to done some validation in another block (B) for take the final entry date and their after going to another Block (C), here user require to enter Some data in it.
