I have a main interface that contains 3 buttons (emp, dept, mgr) I want when I click on the button 'emp' interface opens in the main interface(the buttons must remain in the main interface)
I made this script but I still don't quite understand if the syntax is correct. I just wanted to create a function and call it in an anonymous block. I then wanted it to use a variable as a parameter in an iteration and output the variable every iteration. It's done basically but I know it's not 100% right. The fibonacci function looks like its going to loop an infinite number of times if the parameter is greater than 2.
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE myPACKAGE AS CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION fibonacci (n BINARY_DOUBLE) RETURN BINARY_DOUBLE IS BEGIN IF n <= 2 THEN RETURN 1; [code]........
The block size of my db(10gr2) is 8k, and the db is on the raw device file system on a aix machine.
OS block size is 512k.
How much block will be read from disk when a single oracle io call occurs? Which one is currect, 8K or 512K?
If the block size for a single io call depends on the os block size (512k), I think os block size need to be tuned for oracle block size (8k). If we use raw device file system, os level block size has no meaning?
i have multi data block filed. and checkbox field which based on control block...My task is when i check checkbox only one field should enabled and my mouse goes to that field
My item field based on data block and checkbox based on control block, while i checked chkbox1 , only item31 on that current record should be enabled and i changed value only on that field
when i checked chkbox1 , my cursor goes to item31...not item32
i have a master detail form, In Master block we have one field cheque amount and in Detail block we have field receiveable amount invoice wise. if company paid us a cheque amount we will enter this amount in Master block field Cheque amount and in detail block there will be invoice wise receivable amounts. i want to distribute the cheque amount in detail block invoice wise for example
Cheque amount in master block = 291
Invoice wise receiveable amount is as follows
Invoice No , receivable amount , Received amount
10, 196 , 0 20 , 95 , 0 30 , 54 , 0
Result should be as follows:
Invoice No , receivable amount , Received amount
10, 196, 196 20 , 95 , 95 30 , 54, 0
Received amount field should be distributed according to the receivable amount when recevied amount = cheque amount then remaining will be 0.
I have a multi record control block (basically a text item displaying 6 records) where user enters values and I want to process the values using pre-insert trigger.
I want to read value in each record and then do some tasks using a pre-insert trigger before I commit the values. To navigate between the records I was using first_record, next_record, clear_record built-ins but it gives errors like "40737-illegalrestricted procedure next_record in pre-insert trigger".
I have a form and i want to call report name is " DOCK_RECEIPT". I already create parameter report on this Form name is " REPORT82" and set property this parameter report contain {Name is REPORT82, filename is DOCK_RECEIPT.rdf, execution Mode is Batch, Communication Mode is Synchronous}. I also create a procedure name is F_PRO_PRINT follow:
I called an application from Oracle forms using: Client_Host('cmd /c START "" "\localPathmyApplication.exe"'); This works fine on local as well as server.
But when I use the same command to call the application directly from the MENU ITEM, it gives error alert: "WebUtil Error: oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found. WEBUTIL_HOST.Execute will not work."
I even tried using DDE.App_Begin(). This gives error: ORA-106561. How can I call any application (.exe) directly from the menu item on the server?
how can i call form through menu bar with parameter...

i have one report.the report name is emp and i have 3 user parameters in that report. i want to call report from form. in form i have 3 text fields date ,name ,empno and one button runport..code to call the report from form using this parameter.
I have a form which calls a report. We are maintaining form's source code in FORMS 6i but the form has to be compiled and executed by FORMS 6i and 11g. We have to maintain source code in FORMS6i as we have clients running multiple version of FORMS. The report calling mechanism uses RUN_PRODUCT which is not supported by FORMS11g. suggest a method (other then RUN_REPORT_OBJECT) to support report calling simultaneously on FORMS6i and 11g.
The reason for not using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT is that we don't want to attach report to form.
i have one report with one parameter name is :description the data of the description is
ALL 1" MD UBS 2" MD MNC 23 MSD LKT 11" WIP LLP 2 MC
and my question is when i call a report from form it shows the syntax error or command line.if i give the value MNC 23 MSD (or) LLP 2 MC in forms it run good. But if i give UBS 2" MD (or) ALL 1"MD (or) LKT 11" WIP in forms it through REP-159 Syntax error or command line.
create function xxx_sal (p_number in number) return number is v_sal number; begin select sum(sal) into v_sal from emp where empno = p_number; return v_sal; end;
I am having Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 client in my PC and jdk version is 1.6
I had configured below tools in my PC. (windows 2000) I am having Oracle 9.2 with Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) which contains Oracle JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2.1) also.
How to call a java function from Oracle forms? code samples and how to integrate those thing?
We'll soon start an upgrade of our Forms / Reports 6i Application to 11g. I was wondering, maybe, it would be nice to add some value for the upgrade process as a whole, using some of Apex new features like web mobile interface or maybe an integration between Forms an Apex, for example to provide users with the powerful features of Interactive Reports, just to name one.
I have found this interesting link: URL.... (not a 100% clear for me, but at least it is a start).Obviously, to make it attractive, one would expect automatic login between the two Apps. As far as i know, this could be done like this:
1) Using SSO. With that a Portal / Forms / Reports/ Discoverer/ version would be mandatory (too expensive for some clients).
2) Oracle Access Manager? Not sure, can Oracle Forms connect to Access Manager? or LDAP? How about the licensing costs?. Not a clue.
3) Make all Apex pages public? Not feasible.
4) Now this one: in our forms application, every user authenticates within the application and we internally map that application user to an actual database user. At all times we hold metadata info about the current user (app, and DB), as well as application context. So this is my question:
It is possible to create an Apex app, with database authentication method, and somehow pass the metadata from forms, and have a kind of custom login procedure that does all the application to DB user conversion process and application context setting?
I've created a database package which is having record type and one procedure. I want to execute or call this package from oracle 6i form. How to do this.
