Forms :: Uploading An Excel File Using Webutil In AIX
Apr 18, 2013When i am uploading data in an excel file to my Forms(Windows) the screen works fine but when i am uploading the same excel file to my forms in AIX(Where the application is running) the data is uploaded with decimal points.
The field is a char type and no format mask is set.
E.g. :
Actual data: In Form(Windows) In Form (AIX)

Oct 21, 2010I'm uploading data from excel to our database using forms thru webutil. The problem is when I open the same excel file while the upload process is in progress, the uploading stops, BUT not displaying any error. Not even when I chick Help->Show error.
How could I prevent this error and how to trap and display error message?

I have tried different values for "blob_csid := 873 ;" (and by the way, the list of possible values for this code is very difficult to find : I know, there is a function CS_name to CS_ID but a list would be great), but without any visible effect.If I use the Apex CSV uploader app, the result is the same than with this code.

Sep 28, 2012I get an ERR-7621 from Apex whenever I do anything in an application the tries to read a file. For example importing images, css files, themes, or applications. Even the data loader app will get the error if you choose to load a "csv" file. The following appears in my Apex Listener Log (version 2 early adopter). I am running 4.1.1 of Apex and also have another server running the same where the problem does not exist. Following is the log output whenever the load occurs:

I make for in it a browsing button for the uploaded file and take the path (e.g c:upload.xls) when the procedure of upload work. it always search for the path on the application server and thats wrong . I want it to search on the client machine for that path .

Sep 13, 2010uploading an image item which is not a database item from the operating system. I am using forms 10g on db 10g. My platform is windows Vista sp1.
I am trying to use

But I just get a blank image on runform. I am using WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger. I have tried it on when-new-form-instance, but also not working. The file am trying to upload is a JPG file format, but i cant find the file type in forms image item property. What can I change it to. Or how to i go about changing it.
ORACLE 11G Installation (on Windows Vista)?
Oct 15, 2010I tried to install Oracle 11G (release 11.1.0.6.0) on my Desktop whose operating system is Windows Vista Business Service pack 2.I chose as kind of installation: Personal Edition but I had the following error messages (the same happend when I chose Eenterprise Edition):
ORA-00445 error PMON does not start even after 120 sec at the time of instance starting up. If I gnore it I have ORA-01034 Oracle not available.I couldn't check the trace file of PMON under bdump and the alert log file under udump because these directories were not yet created.
I checked also the environment variables ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID and they were OK.i also checked the Ram available(I've got more than 2GB) and the available space on disk (I have more than 300 GB on C)
What should I do?? Do I need install any specific patches???I am Oracle Certified professional 10G DBA and i need to install 11 G to do the exam of upgrading Is there any other Oracle versions that i can download freely and that work with my operating system?

Uploading Configuration Data To The Repository
Jan 25, 2013I am running emca -config all db -repos recreate command and recreating the repository. Doing so I am getting error while uploading the repository. The Drop and Create is going fine. The exception that I am getting is :

Jun 15, 2012i'm using db and forms 10g. i want the output of the form to be embedded within a simple html page. lets say i want the html page to be divided into three frames. the uppermost horizontal frame will hold a banner (say). the left vertical frame will hold some advertisement (say).
(1) now the rest of the page will be covered by the third frame in which the fmx's will run.
(2) i want the login.fmx (startup form) to show up first instead of the servlet. infact the servlet should not show up at all.

Mar 30, 2011The form which i developed is for Multiple user. i.e many no of user upload the same csv file at the same time. To differentiate it 4r the user i gave the user name in Prefix. say the users name are xx and yy and the file name is test.csv. In the kentucky server it is loaded as "xx_test.csv" and "yy_test.csv". It loaded along with Double quotes.I used the varible to get loaded

l_bare_filename is that variable.
When i tried to null the csv file it is not created as Double quotes in Kentucky server. say it is displaying xx_test.csv file. Below is the command for making null. I used the same variable

I want it to be displayed with Double quotes.
