Forms :: Want To Call Web Form For Uploading Image From Custom Form

I want to call a Web form which should upload the image from my local machine.For that I have created a form which will take necessary data about employee now I want to Insert Image for that employee into table as I am new I struct on the Image uploading form. Latter I have seen the Enter & Maintain form which have Picture button.Pressing this button we get one new web form open & we can upload our image from there.
I wanted to develop a custom form which is not related to oracle apps. I don't want to login to oracle and use the form. I wanted it to be like standalone form (use it as a tool) where I can automate the process of migrating the code from one instance to another, on click of button. Can I create standalone form and run without logging to oracle?
I cann't commit form when new instance form with form status is "NEW".
And then i call: Text_Item := WebUtil_File.File_Selection_Dialog('', '', 'Excel 2003|*.xls|Excel 2010|*.xlsx|All File|*.*', 'Select a file to Import', Open_File, True); Form status change to "QUERY"
And then i click button "Import Data" from excel file to Data Block. Now form status change to "CHANGED". But i cannot call "Commit_Form" built-in to insert data to database oracle 10g.
How can I replace an existing image with a new one on my splash screen. Here's what I mean by this:
I have a form which already has a splash screen logo. This logo will be replaced with a new one. The existing logo is attached as an image in the form of a .tiff file. There are no triggers on the form excepting a "when new form instance" which just says "SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,TITLE,'ABC').
How can I ensure that the old logo is replaced with a new one. Here's what I did to replace, i.e my trouble shooting steps:
a)opened the form and deleted the existing splash screen/.tif file b)went into the layout editor and clicked on "EDIT-> IMPORT" and mapped it to the .tif file that's persent in the local directory. As soon as I click OK, I get the following message :
FORMS-VGS-507- Cannot open file or file not in specified format.
BTW- another trouble shooting step was that I discarded the original and the one to be replaced .tif file. After this I imported another .tif file , so as to eliminate/narrow down the issue. The other .tif file when imported, attached itself perfectly fine, except that it was too large. (How to crop the size). I am new to Oracle forms10g and my area of work is pl/sql,sql,crystal reports and VB.
I am using developer 10.1.2.0.2 I have created a table to store the BLOB, which is jpg image originally. And I have uploaded those image into the database successfully.
Table name: images img_id number img blob
I know that I can set display one image each time if I create the image icon on the form using "data block wizard"..But the problem is that I cannot display multiple image on a form at the same time
I have a blob column in one table. I need to show it in my form (6i). If i put an image file in the column, it works (because i show it in a Image item type) but if i put a text file in the blob column, it does n´t work.
I'm facing a really strange problem in Forms with an FMB that has a couple of canvas, but the main one canvas is showing a JPG (like a Wall Paper for the application, in fact this FMB would be the main FMB and it will call the main menu also). The problem is on run-time (locally, running on windows, just in some Laptops). At execution time, there's a FRM-92102 error, but only deleting the image, and trying again, the Screen run perfect!
The worst part is that same FMB run perfect on other laptops. I've tried almost everything : Creating again, just the form with one canvas and importing the image, and Run, but same error appears again. Trying with another image, same results.
i have one report with one parameter name is :description the data of the description is

and my question is when i call a report from form it shows the syntax error or command line.if i give the value MNC 23 MSD (or) LLP 2 MC in forms it run good.But if i give UBS 2" MD (or) ALL 1"MD (or) LKT 11" WIP in forms it through REP-159 Syntax error or command line.
I used Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33, and i want to call 1 report name is "DOCK_RECEIPT.rdf" from Form when click into button name is "Print". I write code in When-button-press follow: This is code call report from Form.

On report "DOCK_RECEIPT" has parameter same parameter on Form. But when i click button "Print" then can't call report,while form and report that together folder.Now, i want to question, how must configure report builder for call report from form that? example: about directories,path, etc
i need to call report from button in form but when i call the report which have parameter in it ,it run direct without show me the parameter field to be entered now i need to do the following run report normally as when i press in the button the parameter filed appear.
I need to fire the KEY-DUPREC trigger as I click on the key combination Shift+P therefore; I added the following line of code in the frmweb.res file.
80 : 1 : "Shift+P" : 64 : "Duplicate Record"
It worked iff no error was raised. So, if I have a raise form trigger failure in the KEY-DUPREC trigger, a capital P will appear in the text field that called the trigger.
I want to call a value from one from to another form in d2k forms 4.5. I think this can be done only by declaring a global variable. I don't know how to declare global variable and also calling the same in other forms.
I had a query related to call_form function in forms 6i.How can I call a particular form via static ip(outside LAN),but the actual forms are stored in a server called "MAIN_SERVER" which resides in internal LAN domain.That is I have stored location of all my forms path(fmx)in my database table called "FORMS_LOCATION" in the MAIN_SERVER system under the directory "FORMS".From here only users can call all the forms by call_form function.To understand see the example below,
In the table FORMS_LOCATION,there is a column call "forms_path" which holds the value like,
In application the call_form just uses the column "forms_path" to call the form.like CALL_FORM("forms_path",no_hide) this statement will call the form from the main_server.
Here 1.MAIN_SERVER is the name of the server system where forms fmx is actually stored under the folder name "FORMS".When the users access the particular form the call_form function call the form from the MAIN_SERVER.Now there are no problem inside the LAN.Incase if I access the database and call the form outside LAN via internet through STATIC IP what happened was database was connected but call_form function failed and not calling the form because which does not know the MAIN_SERVER/FORMS/ path.
Because my user want to access the form outside lan via internet,so I tried replacing the above statement like //192.54.67.98/FORMS/EMPLOYEE.FMX' with static ip in the prefix instead of local server called MAIN_SERVER.But its not working again.How can I do this?.
uploading an image item which is not a database item from the operating system. I am using forms 10g on db 10g. My platform is windows Vista sp1.
I am trying to use GO_ITEM('BEEEE'); Set_Custom_Property( 'SALGRADE.BEEEE',1, 'READIMGFILE', 'C:/users/ajayia/Desktop/Beeee.jpg' ) ;
But I just get a blank image on runform. I am using WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger. I have tried it on when-new-form-instance, but also not working. The file am trying to upload is a JPG file format, but i cant find the file type in forms image item property. What can I change it to. Or how to i go about changing it.
I have FORM_A calling FORM_B: Call_form('FORM_B',...). On form_B I am updating a Record and when I close Form_B and the focus goes back to Form_A, I need to Automatically Reload Form_A to reflect the changes that were made on Form_B.
How can I reload the Calling Form (FORM_A) when I closed the called form (FORM_B)?
I have just started using Oracle Application Express 11g. On my new attempt I am able to develop a table, report and a form, but I am not able to display picture image on the form though the browse link is active.
I can load the file name from the location folder to the form but it does not display. When I click on APPLY CHANGE then everything disappears. My main problem is how to successfully configure the settings for image display.
I want to convert my forms6i application into forms9i therefore I initially converted my login and explorer form.
In my login form, I am using NEW_FORM to close my login form and wants to activate my explorer form but every time a pop-up raised and asked "DO YOU WANT TO CALL THE NEW FORM?", if I pressed YES then pointer moved to explorer form.
This form is working perfectly in 6i and didn't asked anything and moved to successfully to explorer form.
I have just created the basic employee information form in which i upload the photograph of the employee. The photograph gets uploaded but it does not display properly. I have already referred the sample database application to display the image. Moreover, i have followed the same steps as it is used to display the product image in that application. Still i am unable to get result. I am getting following output:
I got error "Upload New Image must be specified. Click browse to select an image from your local computer" while i upload image in shared components>image>create ...
my logo is saved in local drive D. when i browse file and click to upload it gives error that i mentioned. This is happening with every uploading weather its image or weather its plugin.
