I have a table in that i have some columns along with that four columns to capture the user details. but these details must be captured Programmatically.like whenever a user insert or update or delete his credentials must be captured in these columns. but i am not figuring out in which trigger i have to write and how.
View 19 RepliesI have a form w/a tab canvas. BlkA is on Tab1 and Blk2 is on Tab2. In BlkA I have several items that have when-validate-item triggers. However, the trigger does not fire when I enter a value into item1 of BlkA followed by clicking on Tab2. To solve, I placed validate(form_scope) in the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger. This works well with invoking the validation. However, focus remains on Tab2 (Blk2).
I would like focus to return to failed validation item in Blk1. I can capture the block name using :system.cursor_block in the Post-Block trigger of BlkA, assign that value to a form parameter and when a validation fails via the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger I can return user back to BlkA(Tab1). However, I need direction on how to return user to the specific item in BlkA that failed validation

On a form I have 2 blocks, shown on different tabs. Relation created by forms wizard. The relation works great when navigating through the blocks, the details for the master are shown fine.
Example for this form is master block is a type of food. Detail block is list of ingredients.When creating a new type of food, if it's = CAKE we insert records based on a select on another table into the ingredients table.Else, the user has to manually create the ingredients.
Upon commit of the form on master block (must be saved to enable detail block tab), the ingredients are not displayed but are there. If I execute query by hitting F8, the records are present.
Why is the populate-details trigger not being fired or what am I missing?
I am running 11.2. Within a DB trigger, I need to capture the IP address of the client making the change. I see there is a SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','IP_ADDRESS') built in. Is this the correct way to capture the IP of the client making the change?

Here is the issue, a old dba_user_id who physically no longer exists is not removed from the database. At some time, a session is opened under his user_id and some activity runs and closes the session. So, checked scheduled jobs under him and disabled them. But not sure whether the scheduled jobs are creating a session under his user_id or some thing else.
I checked in v$session, but since I am not sure at what time his session opens, so I am not able to get his session details.
We have a scenario where we need to get the details of quota details on different tablespaces for a user. Is there any way to get this information directly using some views etc.

i want to ask, that in a master detail form, when a user enters few records in detail block against a master record, then when creating a new master record the form builder prompts to save the form first (with yes, no, cancel) option, if we hit no, the records in the detail block are washed away (while the master records remains)
is there any option that i can create several master records having associated detail records before saving them all at the end.
