Apex has been upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.2. I don't know if the upgrade was done correct or not by the administrator, but I don't have the page edit link anymore,
and anytime I run a individual page from the Edit Application, I have to Log in. Did something went wrong during the upgrade or is this the behavior of Apex now, which I don't think so.
i am try to build master and detail i use Edit detail on separate page , but when i want to create new record in detail page the master column is display and not retrieve the value .

I have an interactive report from a view and have a rowid column that is a link to a page to edit a table.
The rowid value in db is: ABH/WVAG1AAAAF9AAA
But the generated link is:
f?p=XXX:24:9420765805297::NO::P24_ROWID:ABH%26#x2F;WVAG1AAAAF7AAA
And when it loads the page it happens a no data found error (because the escaped characters)
What would be the solution for this problem?
We have developed an application for our clients,planning to deploy it in client server soon. we have plans to support the application in future,so we want to restrict the clients from any modifications. By Doubt is, 'build_status=Run only' alone,cannot protect our application from client developers to edit our application,
Because though we install our application as 'Run Only' at the time of installation in client instance,we can still import the original application and change the type to 'Build and Run Application',and run the new application as 'Build and Run'.(which is not supposed to) we want to make sure,if there is any way we can protect our application from modifications after client side installation.
I have used computation in form .i have take 7 check box item with value
MON =1
TUES =2
WED =3
THU =5
FRI =6
SAT =6
SUN =7
these item are not database column.
Using computation after submit i have concatinate it and insert in to OPERATING_DAYS Column into table.
example :if i check MON AND WED AND FRI THEN concatenate value insert into table 136
:P6_MON||:P6_TUS||:P6_WED||:P6_THR||:P6_FRI||:P6_SAT||:P6_SUNPloblem is when i edit record but this 136 value of operating days does not come into MON,WED and FRI.
How to extract these days value from OPERATING_DAYS Column into respective Days Item.
I have a wizard created tabular form, adding a row is easy using addRow() function, is there a way that I can delete the row from it? Let's say I have added a row and not submitted the form, but now I want to delete just that row from the form, how can I do that?

I'm trying to create a functionality on my application that lets the user change their password whenever they want or when the password gets expired.
But to do that, first I need a Branch to the page "Password Change" whenever the login procedure returns "Password Expire", but when the user has an expired password he can't access none of the pages of the application.
My other problem is:
Even if I can get the user to be redirect to the "Password Change" page, I would need a function that validate his current expired password, because in order to alter his own, he would need to inform his current password and the new one he desires. If I was using Apex Authentication that would be very easy I think, but I'm obligate to use Database Account Authentication.

MY Requirement was ..in the editable link...i need to control with DISBALE/ENALE with if EMPNO=100 then all 100 id records need to editable link disable and if EMPNO=120 then All 120 records editable link need to be enable..this kind of thing need in the report..

APEX Builder page 4000:37 List view shows name, notes and download columns. The name column should link through to CSS Edit page (39), but instead downloads the file. Workaround: Switch to the icon view, and click on the icon which takes you to the CSS edit page. Can the APEX team correct this, as switching to icon view is not intuitive.

Ive the CREATE part working well the problem is with EDIT part to edit records via the link i applied all the steps and clicking the edit link pops up the page but the issue is for any clicked row the parameter is not being passed and seleceted record doesnt show on the pop up page where could the problem be? though if i set it back to normal link created by the wizard the edit link works well and shows that record on the editable page.

Button and dynamic action are on page 305. I can now open Page 306 as modal window but the page will close immediately.
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
In the login page, I want to add a text "Register" that when clicked will send the user to another page to register.
With a button, its simple because its inbuilt there,but I do not want a button,just this: Register

I am new to APEX and I am developing an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a page (8) that has text items for the username and the database name. I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *FROM valid_dbWHERE username = :FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How do I accomplish this?
I have different public page (page1) and different page for authorized user(page5).Upon successful login after process validation ,computation it should navigate to authorized user page 5 but the branching does work it keeps on going to page 1 .

Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.

How do I center a button within a region? I tried 'align="center"' but this seemed to be ignored. The button is at the left of the screen. Also, what are the 'display points' (Page Template Region Position 1-8) used for, and why is there a specification for column position of 1-9? Could these be attributes that will allow my button to be centered on the window instead of on the left?

Apex Lib is now throwing an error:
in package apexlib_error procedure addApexValidationErrors WWV_Flow.g_validation_ids_in_error does not exist.
I have downloaded Oracle 11g XE and installed it on my laptop, Win 7 Enterprise Everything works great, DB admin page comes up, APEX comes up (4.0.2.x). I download the Apex_4.2.3_en.zip. I extract the zip file and then follow the instructions in, Downloading from Oracle Technology Network essentially the apexins.sql, apxldimg.sql with the admin password changes and anonymous user unlock.
This is the install command, @apexins SYSAUX SYSAUX TEMP /i/
I get the Error processing request ORA-010403: no data found.

Below is our configuration
Host 1 : Oracle databaseOracle database - 10.2.0.5APEX - 1.1.3
Host 2 : Apex listener on Weblogic serverWeblogic server - 10.3.5 APEX listener - 2.0.2
Post the upgrade , applications that were existing before the upgrade are not working properly.
Errors faced:1.When we edit any page in application - we get no data found error2.
When we run any application - We get no data found error We are able to create new applications without any issues.Luckily , we had the export backup of one application taken before upgrade. We imported that back( only one application ) and that application is working fine. We imported the application in apex.oracle.com as well and get the same error[URL]... occurs during page 'Edit' as well.
O/S: Windows 2003
DB: 11gR1
Email no longer working for users after upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1. New 'principal' APEX_040100 added to same ACL as previous version's principal APEX_040000. In fact, both still exist in ACL.
