We have recently did upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 with listener 2.0. The edit bar (to edit the page) and Save Report option from Actions Menu ( Interactive Report) are missing, is it a bug?

By Doubt is, 'build_status=Run only' alone,cannot protect our application from client developers to edit our application,
Because though we install our application as 'Run Only' at the time of installation in client instance,we can still import the original application and change the type to 'Build and Run Application',and run the new application as 'Build and Run'.(which is not supposed to) we want to make sure,if there is any way we can protect our application from modifications after client side installation.
I have used computation in form .i have take 7 check box item with value
MON =1
TUES =2
WED =3
THU =5
FRI =6
SAT =6
SUN =7
these item are not database column.
Using computation after submit i have concatinate it and insert in to OPERATING_DAYS Column into table.
example :if i check MON AND WED AND FRI THEN concatenate value insert into table 136
:P6_MON||:P6_TUS||:P6_WED||:P6_THR||:P6_FRI||:P6_SAT||:P6_SUNPloblem is when i edit record but this 136 value of operating days does not come into MON,WED and FRI.
How to extract these days value from OPERATING_DAYS Column into respective Days Item.

View 8 Replies View Related Apex has been upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.2. I don't know if the upgrade was done correct or not by the administrator, but I don't have the page edit link anymore,
and anytime I run a individual page from the Edit Application, I have to Log in. Did something went wrong during the upgrade or is this the behavior of Apex now, which I don't think so.
I have an interactive report from a view and have a rowid column that is a link to a page to edit a table.
The rowid value in db is: ABH/WVAG1AAAAF9AAA
But the generated link is:
f?p=XXX:24:9420765805297::NO::P24_ROWID:ABH%26#x2F;WVAG1AAAAF7AAA
And when it loads the page it happens a no data found error (because the escaped characters)

I have a requirement to create an applications with company standard layout,logo and colors.
What is the best way to start. Should I change Page Template or Region template.
There are some standard .css files.
I am about to start on a new application where I intend to include some major custom css formatting.
Now with previous applications and themes I have experienced, that some elements are very hard to adjust (like placing a table in the center of the screen instead on the left edge), also when importing other libraries like Twitter Bootstrap, often there are conflicts between the styles, that cause unpleasant results.
Now my question to you is, which theme in the 4.0-respository has a rather new page-html, and is best suited for further customization? E.g. when importing jquery UI.
I know, I still could kick out the theme-css out of the page template entirely, but then some functionalities, like the actions menu on an interactive report, stop functioning.
APEX Builder page 4000:37 List view shows name, notes and download columns. The name column should link through to CSS Edit page (39), but instead downloads the file. Workaround: Switch to the icon view, and click on the icon which takes you to the CSS edit page. Can the APEX team correct this, as switching to icon view is not intuitive.

#TECHNICAL_INFO# - Displays detailed internal error information which will just be visible for developers.
#BACK_LINK# - Displays a link back to the previous page.

It appears that only the first substitution string is doing anything. I'm especially interested in additional info and technical info. The back_link just looks like an html snippet, not sure why I would use a substitution string for this. I imagine the last two could facilitate site translation, but that doesn't work much if there is no machinery for translating error messages themselves.
I have just implemented a "Data Load" function which is the OOTB page type in apex 4.2 which allows the end user to go through a wizard and import csv data into a table.
When the user is viewing the data to be imported - they have to scroll across the length of the screen (depending on how many columns you are loading). I noticed there is a Region template called "Scrollable Content Region". I tried applying this template to my region, and when this didn't work, to a container region.
The scrollbars appear (horizontally and vertically) but they are greyed out as the region is still at max width and you have to use the browser to scroll instead.I think this looks untidy as the header colour-styling ends, as well as other regions being stretched.

Iam facing another issue with Skillbuilder modal page(for those who have used this plugins). Ive the CREATE part working well the problem is with EDIT part to edit records via the link i applied all the steps and clicking the edit link pops up the page but the issue is for any clicked row the parameter is not being passed and seleceted record doesnt show on the pop up page where could the problem be? though if i set it back to normal link created by the wizard the edit link works well and shows that record on the editable page.

Apex Version: 4.2.0.00.27Theme: 25 I have a page that I need to divide by 8 segments, rather than 12 ( I will need to place items and buttons in one of the 8 columns). To begin, I have made a copy of the One Level Tabs - No Sidebar page template. I have tried to edit this template, and played with multiple combinations changing the Grid Layout and Display Points settings, but instead of creating a page that has 8 columns, that span the width of the page, I am just left with blank space. View 2 Replies View RelatedIn 4.2 early adapter 2 there is a packaged application called Incident Tracking. In this application page number 50 is having a region called Tickets. It has a template which is numeric.
I could not find the template under the application theme. Even if I try to create a page with the same page template but when I try to create a region in the region template LOV the numeric template is not displayed.
APEX 4.1.1.00.23 on 11gR2 - browser independent issue.
We are converting all of our applications to use a standard centralised theme (23). This is fine and seems to work for all templates except for Popup LOV. When you choose the master template it shows as subscribed from within the template detail page, but in the apex_application_templates view and in Shared Components/Templates it is the only item showing as not subscribed.
My guess is simply that the apex_application_templates view does not cover popup LOVs perfectly for some reason but it
I have created a JQuery mobile template for APEX which at the moment is just returning data from my database in a reports region. Is it possible to include a search bar before the user sees any data so they can search for records in the database and return them to the results page I have already created?

I have Fop installed and tested , PDF works great but excel and RTF is not reading the encoding on attachment download.I am aware of new PDF feature in 4.2.2 but upgrade is just not the scope right now.

I have created a region Q_INFO and in the region i have added HTML text area. This text area is editable for only few users. If the user types in the text area and presses save button. The text is stored in the table INFO. And this text is displayed to all other users. But when i enter any data in the text area with multiple new lines and press SAVE button. The text is displayed in single line. I want to maintain new line and paragraph in the text area.

I have a select box with products, and a dynamic action that updates a display only element with the price, based on the product selection.After the selection is made and the page is submitted, I have noticed that the price is not stored in the database. If I change the display only value to a text box, the data is saved. Is this expected behavior? If so, can I add something to the text box to make it not editable?
