Feb 5, 2013I have a table enrty in dba_tables:
SQL> select OWNER,TABLE_NAME from dba_tables where TABLE_NAME='Viep_Porteur_Etudiant';
OWNER TABLE_NAME

IEP_PESSAC Viep_Porteur_Etudiant
But this tables doesn't exist then I can't drop this table:
SQL> desc IEP_PESSAC.Viep_Porteur_Etudiant;
ERROR:
ORA-04043: objet IEP_PESSAC.Viep_Porteur_Etudiant inexistant
SQL> drop table IEP_PESSAC.Viep_Porteur_Etudiant;

How can I clean dba_table? I suppose that that's happened because the user tablespace was full when he tried to create this table...

Instance -1 named - DS
Instance -2 named - MIS
Instance -3 named - OAS
Among of these 3 nodes, we are facing Block Corruption issues with sysaux tablespace.Error in Instance name DS is
Errors in file /u01/home/dba/oracle/diag/rdbms/ds4db/DS/trace/DS_j000_655388.trc (incident=300847):
ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 2, block # 38428)
ORA-01110: data file 2: '/DSdb1/dssysaux.dbf'
ORA-26040: Data block was loaded using the NOLOGGING option
GATHER_STATS_JOB encountered errors. Check the trace file.

for this I googled and found some solution as oracle doc [430230.1] related to sysaux couruption.After this again we are facing the same issue in sysaux tablespace.

Oct 22, 2010We are suffering from very bad application response for last few days, when i try to check and drill down, where the actual contention is? I came to know that there may be contention on data blocks, which may be a prime reason for degraded performance. Herewith i'm pasting my actual stats of gathered from v$waitstat. I gone through some of asktom docs and find that there may be a problem with freelist or segment space management. My data tablespace is segment space management = Manual.
My main question is
1) Should i need to increase freelist value (Right now my value is 1)
2) Or i have to move on segment space management = auto

Jul 26, 2011we have 5 tempfile ( each of 65 gb ) allocated to TEMP tablespace...and still we are running in short of space..when i checked the TEMP segment usage, i am able to see much FREE blocks. how to release those space ?

here i tried finding the OBJECT ID as below

Now for the same BLOCK it is giving different File, again the segment_name or segment_id could not be found from the above information.

In Database Configuration Assistant chose Create database then New database. Used configuration by default. On 92% I got this error

Feb 17, 2010On the weekend, I ran the repair chained rows in Toad and compile invalid objects in Toad.I don't know this problem is associated with that job, it has no problem first day and today some problem was detected from customer side. It shows Ora-12516 and Ora-96512, I will attach package sql and error screen shot, could you interpret what is wrong with the Oracle?
I can post up screen shot cause I don't have right.It was Korean and if I translate to English, kind of "Server can't proceed - Ora-12516 TNS: listener can't find appropriate handler with protocol stack.

Apr 16, 2012I'm new to oracle and solaris.got a dmp file that I need to restore from. I've managed to successfully restore it in windows but not in solaris. the following command:
$impdp SCHEMAS=<schema> DUMPFILE=<dumpfile> LOGFILE=<logfile>
I got the following error:
SCHEMAS=<schema>: not found
Basically anything after $impdp is always not found. Is there any problem during setup?

Oct 27, 2012after my first Apex installation I have got the above mentioned error. I have tried the following Apex calls:
localhost:7778/apex
localhost:7778/apex/apex_admin
Instead of using localhost I used the hostname or the IP address of the box without success.The whole installation process went fine from scratch. No errors, no warnings, nothing.I am using the following environment:
CentOS 6.3
Oracle 11.2.0.3 EE
Apex 4.1.1
With exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport(7778); I enabled the above port number. If I look at the output of the lsnrctl status I see that my local listener is also listening on 7778. I have no errors in the alert.log and no other trace files where I can have a look at.

May 21, 2010I'm receiving the error REP-52266, while running a simple script from Forms 10g:

I previously received REP-51002; searched over the forums,& made changed to the rwservlet properties file by setting my Server,setting the trace on,& changing my host file in windows.
Errors received now: REP-52266: The in-process Reports Server rep_fsprod failed to start.oracle.reports.RWException: IDL:oracle/reports/RWException:1.0
I also tried these commands:

1) converted excel data in CSV format.
2) Created a control file test.ctl

3) when i run the sql loader utility, i get an error "sql-524: partial record found at end of datafile"
