Server Administration :: How To Split Default Subpartition
Oct 12, 2011
I create a range-list partition table using the subpartition template,and there is a default subpartition p_default,when i insert a row which provcode values is 6 into the table,and it belong to the default subpartition,how can i spilt it into a new subpartition such as p_6, and make the row belong to the subpartition p_6?

(
statedate date not null,
provcode number not null,

I read in few blog and they are saying, oracle11g allocate 60% of the memory to SGA and 40% of the memory to PGA when we enable MEMORY_ TARGET to non-zero.Here are few blogs. URL.....It is not working on that way(60:40) on my database.
Here is my DB version.
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production CORE 11.1.0.7.0 Production TNS for Linux: Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production NLSRTL Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production [code]....
I am not able to find 60%:40% concept in oracle document..so all the above blogs info are wrong?
Presently have one instance, one Schema on my DB Server. Want to split the existing schema into 3 logical divisions. Have created the 3 Schemas. Through Oracle Export from the old Schema am able to Export (using wild cards) the tables and indices for each grouping and am able to Import into the new specific schema. The problem i'm having is that i cannot seem to Export the specific sequences due for each of the new schemas. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?
i written this code i m facing ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 16408 bytes error
/* Formatted on 2011/11/26 11:52 (Formatter Plus v4.8. */ DECLARE row_id varchar2(50); v_batch_id temp.batch_id%TYPE; v_slab_id temp.slab_id%TYPE; flag NUMBER (2); num varchar2(50) := &row_id;
Quote: Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2) New Features in Oracle XML DB
The following Oracle XML DB features are new in Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2).
Default Storage Model for XMLType
The default XMLType storage model is used if you do not specify a storage model when you create an XMLType table or column. Prior to Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2), unstructured (CLOB) storage was used by default. The default storage model is now binary XML storage.
We have a application which works fine on r1 but not on r2 due to this change, we are going to investigate resolving the issue on the application in the future, in the mean time we need to be able to use the CLOB storage.
Does any one know where we can change this functionality back to the pre 11gR2 change?
I installed Oracle 11g and created a test database in that the default count should be 4196... but it is 4143.. some packages are missing.. even when i'm creating materialized view it is showing some error that packages are missing. what can i do for that? Is my oracle s/w corrupted ? even when i downloaded from oracle site it also shows the same count.
why Oracle is saying my sub partition does not exist when I can clearly see it?
Connected to Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0
SQL> SELECT table_name, 2 partition_name, 3 subpartition_name 4 FROM user_tab_subpartitions 5 WHERE table_name = 'DAY_NETWORK_AGG' 6 AND subpartition_name = 'P_USER_1_P_201302010000'; [code].....
ORA-14251: Specified subpartition does not exist
This is what I used to create the table and I have yet to put any data in it, so I am wondering if Oracle doesn't really create the subpartitons from the template until there is actual data.
Can i call split partition statement in after insert trigger, my scenario is loader load the data in a table which is not scheduled, the my oracle jobs picks those data for further processing, table which is being loaded by loader is partition and want to split the partition just after the data have been loaded.
How to import dump into specific tablespace instead of default tablespace users.
I want to import my dump file to newly created tablespace ,so how can i do that . I have created new user called cvm and while creating it i mentioned default tablespace to newly created tablespace . But when i try to import my dumo file it goes to users tablespace .
i'm working on this database assignment...and basically, no matter what I do my table seems to automatically split into a different table after 8 rows...i've tried googling it and using commands like....
set wrap off; set numwidth 20;
and fiddling with the format of each column but nothing seems to work...i just want my table to show as one table
here's my script create table patient (patient_number number(4) primary key, patient_name varchar(15) NOT NULL, address varchar(30) NOT NULL, telephone number(7) NOT NULL, patient_status char(1) NOT NULL, next_appt date, balance number(5,2), CHECK (balance >= 0), CHECK (patient_status='N' OR patient_status='A' OR patient_status='I')); [code]...
12 rows selected.the columns are actually aligned so don't worry about that...it's just the splitting of the rows.
PROCEDURE COLUMN_SPLIT (p_def IN VARCHAR2, p_sch OUT VARCHAR2, p_table OUT VARCHAR2, p_column OUT VARCHAR2) IS BEGIN NULL; END; END;
I want to split p_def by dots, check for 3 elements, and return them in p_sch, p_table and p_column for example p_sch will be like hello.howare.you.I want to split it to hellohowareyouI have very limited knowledge with pl/sql.
i am trying to install Oracle 10.10.2.0 on Windows Server 2003 standard x64 Edition Service Pack, but when i try to run the installer or open DVD it gives me below error.
"The image file D: is Valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine."
I have a string like '9999999;A' one field as numeric & other as char.Now i want to split this string into two values removing the ; delimiter in oracle using for loop.
