How can prevent DBA user from disabling any trigger ? suppose DBA user can't be able to execute following command
ALTER TRIGGER {trigger_name} DISABLE;
how can i protect it?
When performing test recoveries of a database we often wish to prevent database jobs from running application processes such as (a) sending emails; or (b) logging events to a central logging database. In order to accomplish this, we set the job_queue_processes to zero before opening the database.
This means that no dbms_jobs run on the open instance, but it does not prevent dbms_scheduler jobs from running.How can we prevent any dbms_scheduler jobs from running?
I have looked at setting the MAX_JOB_SLAVE_PROCESSES attribute using DBMS_SCHEDULER.SET_SCHEDULER_ATTRIBUTE, but this cannot be set to zero.
Column Trigger_body in table user_trigger is long data type.I want to find out the certain 'table name' was using intrigger.

we are using oracle10g version. Currently my character set is WE8MSWIN1252 At present, somehow, we have non-english characters(for example spanish) in the database. We wanted to stop entering these kind of characters.. Can we prevent this by changing the current character set?

1) Friday
2) Between 5pm to 8am
We would like to create functions to insert and update our tables and would like to make it not possible to update and insert the table directly outside of the function. Is there a way to do that in the trigger?

I created an externally authenticated user in database. And can login without password with below syntax.

This scott user has a proxy permission to another DBuser PROXY_USER. Previously I used to login using below syntax.
connect scott[proxy_user]/password_for_scott@TESTDB
So now, what syntax should be used for this "ExternallY Authenticated" user to login as a proxy user?

We have installed Oracle RAC 11gR2, installation was all successful.But i cannot see ASMSNMP user to login as ASM enterprise manager .If i tries to login as sys (even after assigning SYSASM role) he cannot login.

I have granted connect,resource privilege to a user 'TestU' and have create several synonyms in the schema using the public database link. What worries me is that the user 'TestU' can view the all_ and users_ dictionary views, which makes him accessible to all public database links and all user specific objects definition.
Is there a way to restrict the user to see only the synonyms and avoid looking at their definitions
