P1 CC3 102 103 104
P1 CC4 103 104 105
P1 CC5 104 105 0
create table tab1(parent varchar2(20), child varchar2(20),row_id integer,serial_no integer);
insert into tab1 values('P1','CC1',101,1);

I have a table with structure as:
CREATE TABLE XML_TABLE_1
(
ID NUMBER NOT NULL,
SOURCE VARCHAR2(255 CHAR) NOT NULL,
XML_TEXT SYS.XMLTYPE,
CREATION_DATE TIMESTAMP(6) NOT NULL
[code].....
- So HOW do I find the total size occupied by this table. Does BINARY storage work as LOB storage. i.e. I need to consider USER_LOBS as well for this. OR foll. will work
select segment_name as tablename, sum(bytes/ (1024 * 1024 * 1024 )) as tablesize_in_GB
From dba_segments
where segment_name = 'XML_TABLE_1'
and OWNER = 'SCHEMANAME'
group by segment_name ;
- Also if I am copying it to another table of same structure as:
Insert /*+ append */ into XML_TABLE_2 Select * from XML_TABLE_1.
Then how much space in ROllbackSegment do I need. Is it equal to the size of the table XML_TABLE_1?

I was looking for application column name corresponding to "Draft Invoice Number" ra_interface_lines_all table.
I tried the below.
/* Get descriptive_flexfield_name for the application table name*/
SELECT *
FROM FND_DESCRIPTIVE_FLEXS_VL
WHERE application_id = 222
AND APPLICATION_TABLE_NAME=upper('ra_interface_lines_all');
/* Get the application column name and end user column name*/
SELECT *
FROM FND_DESCR_FLEX_COLUMN_USAGES
WHERE application_id = 222
AND descriptive_flexfield_name = 'RA_INTERFACE_LINES';
There are many DESCRIPTIVE_FLEX_CONTEXT_CODEs obtained. I could finally trace out that draft invoice number corresponds to INTERFACE_LINE_ATTRIBUTE2. How can I know what DESCRIPTIVE_FLEX_CONTEXT_CODE should I look for?
I want to build a single query to fetch the application column name and flex field name for a specific table .

I need to query a table to get the time difference based on different dates.
SAMPLE DATA:
JOB ID start_time end_time
1 201008190056 19/08/2010 01:23:12
2 201008190123 19/08/2010 01:50:12
2 201008200045 19/08/2010 01:50:12
3 201008070345 7/08/2010 04:50:12
3 201008070345 7/08/2010 04:50:12
1 201008070003 7/08/2010 00:30:12
in the above, for job 1 ,on 19/08/2010 the time difference should be calculated as
01:23:12-00:56:00 and the difference should be in minutes.
for end_time. i can't take the substring as the length of the date varies for 19 and 7. In case of start date, the time has to be in format, hh:mm:ss, to calculate the difference.

I have a SQL statement that return the following result.
col1
----
a
a
b
b
a
c
c
c
c
What i need is to eliminate the duplication and return the result as the following.
col1
----
a
b
a
c
Using group by or distinct will eliminate the third row "a" and will not return it ordered.My idea is to generate another column that rank the result as following.
col1rank
------------
a1
a1
b2
b2
a3
c4
c4
c4
c4
so using the following SQL query will return the result as needed
select col1, rank
from T
group by col1, rank
order by rank;
col1rank
------------
a1
b2
a3
c4

1) First Problem:
Difference in hours is supposed to be 35 but it comes as 34.When i manually find the difference in days and multiply by 24 it comes as 34.999999999 and floor converts it as 34.. But when i execute the difference between dates alone and convert to 24 it shows as 35. So when i apply floor to this, it should be 35 instead of 34 right?
SQL> select (to_date('2011-05-03 09:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss') -
2 to_date('2011-05-01 22:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'))
3 from dual
4 ;
[code].....
1) Second Problem:
For the following query, difference of the dates in minutes is 2100.. so mod(2100,60) should give 0 but it's giving 60.. Separately if if put mod(2100,60) it is giving as 0 only.
SQL> SELECT MOD(((to_date('2011-05-03 09:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss') -
2 to_date('2011-05-01 22:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss')) * 1440),
3 60) AS duration,
4 (to_date('2011-05-03 09:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss') -
5 to_date('2011-05-01 22:00:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss')) * 1440 as diffinmin

I have a multiple data block. There is a list item present on the form having three types INVOICE,BOE and MANUAL. When I select 'MANUAL' , that LOV should not appear for a particular item on the form and the user should be able to insert the value manually and validate manually. I did use set_lov_property, but did not get the correct usage.
I think set_item_property with VALIDATE_FROM_LIST property won't work as it sets the same property to whole column once it is fired. So if I write set_item_property for MANUAL it would set the the column, VALIDATE_FROM_LIST property at once when it is fired, not allowing me to the set properties for that column according to INVOICE and BOE where I would require the LOV. I want it to go with the item instance and therefore opting for set_lov_property but not clear with the syntax given
1) SET_LOV_PROPERTY
(lov_name VARCHAR2,
property NUMBER,
value NUMBER);
2) SET_LOV_PROPERTY
(lov_name VARCHAR2,
property NUMBER,
x NUMBER,
y NUMBER)

Calculating the difference between the two rows of same columns? Example of my Scenario is as follows
I have a table as shown below, there are checks thats has been issued per week (to tell how its been issued per week ,if you see the week number ,there is a change in week no for period of 7 days i.e. what i have to show on my results tables based on week no and probably we may need to take into account for check no too.)
wekno ! checkno ! end date
------ ! ------ ! ------
1 ! 1 ! 1/7/2012
1 ! 2 ! 1/8/2012
1 ! 3 !1/9/2012
2 ! 1 ! 1/14/2012
2 ! 2 ! 1/15/2012
3 ! 1 ! 1/21/2012
result table and date range i picked up was 1/1/2012-1/31/2012
wekno ! checkno ! end date ! previous period ! Daysin period
------ ! ------ ! ------ ! ------------- ! ------------
1 ! 1 ! 1/7/2012 ! null (as previous period is 2011 and so prvs year i dont count) ! 7 this because we see change in wkno per 7 days
1 ! 2 ! 1/8/2012 !null becoz this one falls same week and therefore previous peroid would be the same as above ! 7 above reason
1 ! 3 ! 1/9/2012 ! null becoz this one falls same week and therefore previous peroid would be the same as above ! 7 above reason
2 ! 1 ! 1/14/2012 ! 1/7/2012 becoz this a second week as you see the change in wekno and therefore its previosu period is 1/7/2012 ! 7 above reason
2 ! 2 ! 1/15/2012 ! 1/7/2012 becoz this check falls on the same second week so previosu would be 1/7/2012 ! 7 above reason
3 ! 1 ! 1/21/2012 ! 1/14/2012 as a new week no starts this gonn be 1/4/2012 ! 7 above reason

I have multiple schemas, all which have tons of objects that point to one column of one table. I tried to look at v$sqltext, and v$sqlarea, but it doesn't seem to show as expected.
Is there a view that I can look at that will show me all the objects that relate to one column?
my situation. Had to change the data structure of this one column. Changed the default value from a Y to an L. I have packages, functions, triggers...etc... that deal with this one column. I need to ensure that I go through EACH one and edit them to reflect the change to the table column. And again, this spans multiple schemas that point back to it.
