I am not finding Replication Management Tool in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g. Where can i found it?
How can I start Oracle Enterprise Manager Console? I have installed Oracle Enterprise Manager Control.
I suddenly started getting this error message "Error
java.lang.Exception: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused: connect ". on the dbconsole of my database. Any clue where to proceed or how to find whats causing this error.
is Oracle Corporation provides Enterprise console for 11g, like oracle provides Enter prise console for 10g through which we can view/create/manage all the objects like tables,views,functions and procedures etc.

In my services list the 'oracledbconsoleorcl' is assigned as automatically to start with windows. But it is not starting. When I tried to start it manually the following message is displayed repeatedly even after restarting the pc.
'Windows could not start the oracledbconsoleorcl on Local computer. For more information, view the system event log. If this is a non-Microsoft services, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 2.'
In the event log the following error messages are displayed:The OracleDBConsoleorcl service terminated with service-specific error 2 (0x2). and
The OracleCSService service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
i have already give the grant option cnnect,resource to scott but it is not connecting to enter prise manager console of Oracle database 11gR1. i am getting this error while connecting "The application requires more database privileges than you have currently been granted. Click on Help to get more version specific information"
when i am giving scott the dba rights then it is connecting. but i cann't give dba rights to scott.so, how/what is the specific command to give permission scott for connecting to enter prise manager console.

I have oracle9i installed on my system.. i have created a database using enterprise manger console..
Now i want to export this database for the purpose of backup.. so that i can import it later.
How I can get the heavy weight (Java) oem db console installed on my Windows XP desktop?
I used to have a 9i oem console before. But after reinstaling the OS on my laptop, I don't rememeber how I got the oem Java console installed in the first place.
I have a 10.2.0.1 db installed and web based oem console access to that db. But I want to be able to connect to other remote databases using the java console and manage/monitor the remote databases, like I used to before.
I installed oracle 10g in Aix,
>emctl start dbconsole
it shows "the Enterprise Manager 10g database control started"
but when i use
> emctl status dbconsole
it shows " EM Daemon is not running"
and the log file..

I have problem with EM console. When I restart machine OracleDBConsoleSID is stopped.
When I try to start this service:
Could not start the OracelDBConsoleSID service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
And then this service has status: Staring. EM then work for short time but then again service is stopped.
The Database works without any problems.
cmd>emctl start dbconsole
while i run above command it gives following error. what should i do to make my EM run?
error:::EM Configuration issue. C:oracleproduct10.2.0db_1/Abhishek-PC_orcl not found .
$emctl stop dbconsole stops the OEM process.
however,it starts back up on server reboot,how can we prevent that is emca deconfig the only option?
How can i successfully run emcli execute_hostcmd from EM console on Windows Agent?
I met a strange error about EM Agent. When i run the following command by EM console on a Windows Agent:
emcli execute_hostcmd -cmd="hostname" -targets="myhost:host" -credential_set_name="HostCredsPriv"
It comes with the following information

where options include:
-client to select the "client" VM

But on Linux Agent,everything is fine.
I've experienced an error while installing the Application Management Pack 3 on Linux Machine (OS: Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 32-bit) with EM Grid Control 10g Release 5. View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5. We recently upgraded our Databases from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and since then we are having this problem.
Whenever i click an Agent on the Grid Control it gives me this error: "Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring/adding targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms)."
I get the same error when i try to configure a host or a database.
Don't know what is wrong

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have successfully installed the Oracle 10g standerd version with a sample database on Windows server 2008 standard server. Then I installed the client so that I could use the Enterprise manage console that comes with it. Once installed, I was able to successfully configured the Net service. Now when I use either Enterprise manage console or SQL plus to login to the service that I created, once I enter the user id and password and click ok, system automatically closes both applications. I am not sure what is missing. I installed the same client on a windows XP pc and the enterprise manage console is working perfect.

2: root.sh
As the root user.When we run the root.sh script is ask us to overwrite three variables yes/no? we did yes.After Running these scripts we opened the database, tried to run listner as well, everything is running fine but when we are trying to run the Emterprise Manager using command:
emctl start dbconsole
we are prompted with a path to check the logs
/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/localhost_orcl11g/sysman/log
I do not know which file I have to check.What could be the reason we are not able to run the EM.I need it urgently as we ahve to generate the AWR reports for the client.

How to find port number of my Oracle Service?
I have just downloaded Oracle 11g from the Oracle website.How do I start enterprise manager?
but once I get away from UNIX I don't have a clue what I am doing. What are the windows bits. I go to the oracle bin directory from a dos window and enter emctl commands, and I get "emctl" is not recognised as an ibternal or external command.
When looking at some of the metrics available in OEM, I am puzzled by the interpretation:
1) Using the Host tab, and load metrics, I can get a metric for the Total I/O for the host .. I assume this is IOPS.
2) Using the Database tab, and the instance_throughput physreads_pc metric I can get a metric for the Physical Reads from the database instance per second.
3) We generally have several Oracle instances on the same server, and in all cases, the sum of the physical reads for each database is SIGNIFICANTLY higher that the total i/o for the host.
Am I interpreting the information incorrectly ? Does one of the metrics consider db_block_size ?
When i try to login into em it always give - [URL]... dba role is granted to the user and i have verified the passoword . I even tried with system user and it gave me same error.
