May 11, 2011We are using Oracle 11.1 DG4ODBC on linux with Unixodbc 2.2.11 and freetds 0.82 to get data from SQLServer. I am seeing ORA-28528:Heterogeneous Services datatype conversion error when retrieving fields with NULL values in SQL Server.
My Init file parameters .

Nov 26, 2012I have created searching tool using oracle forms 6i. while searching the cursor move from text field (A) to other block query the data according to the field (A) and come back again to field (A). Everything is working fine but the problem is, when the cursor move back to the field (A) the existing text is highlighted and when user right something in it. It's overwriting the existing text.
I want when the cursor moving bank to the field (A) the text should not be highlighted and when the user writes something that will be added to the existing text.

Aug 4, 2009I have one 10g database in other country. I want part of their db (selected tables or tablespaces) and import that data to my 10g DB and i want keep to date this data.
I know two ways
1. Data Pump Imp/Emp via FTP, but i can't send only data that have changed (incremental), i must pumping whole selected part of database (i want only new data from their DB, but consistanse with my DB)
2. RMAN etc. or other archivisation tool, i can do incremental achivisation, but can i send files to another instances (my db) and load only that data? Can i do that with SQL*Loader?

Apr 18, 2013Am trying to implement Oracle Streams Replication (Using Metalink Note 733691.1).I have configured the steps, but in my alert log am getting the below error:
Check that the primary and standby are using a password file and remote_login_passwordfile is set to SHARED or EXCLUSIVE, and that the SYS password is same in the password files. returning error ORA-16191
am successfully able to connect db's both server
From 1st server
sqlplus sys@2nddb as sysdba
From 2nd server
sqlplus sys@1stdb as sysdba
while conning it is asking for password
Both DB's are created with Same Oracle sys user password. after this disabled case sensitivity , still the error persists.
ORA-01722 (Replication Between Sql To Oracle)?
Nov 16, 2010We have Transactional replication setup between SQL (publisher) to Oracle (Subscriber). Every other week replication will stop and when i look at sql error logs i see the message 0ra-01722. We have engaged microsoft to have a look at this problem and their conclusion is that everything in sql is setup correctly. The dba's managing oracle have as said there are no error messages on their logs. I have compared the datatypes of the table in sql and oracle and everything matched except for the one highlighted in yellow(see attachment). how we can figure out why we keep getting this ora-01722 message.

Feb 16, 2011We need to transfer data from oracle 10g to Oracle 9i in the following condition.
There will be two database server , one is online server where online user fill the form which is generated by java, spring , hibernate and using database 10 g. at day end i need to execute a process that transferring data from online server to offline server that is in oracle database 9i. This process is scheduled. Some security reason client do not kept this two database on same network. My challenge is that transfer data from online server to offline server with applying client security norms.I have option like:
1) Using Oracle replication method, creating materialized view on remote server , refreshing it at regular interval. but database connectivity is not contineous, should i go for that ?
2) Write java application on intermediate server where we write process to get the connection of this two database servers. From java application we call the procedure for selecting data from Oracle 10g and insert into oracle 9i database and using flag on both data to identified how many rows are transfered and how many remaining for trasfer.

Jun 14, 2013Issue 1: I have rdbms version 10.1.0.4.0. There is a replicated environment with 2 nodes for oracle database and the state of the node is standby when this issue occurs. We are getting ORA-0600/ORA-07445 causing instance failure over a period of time.
Few common errors are listed below
Errors in file /data1/dump/bdump/optical1_j000_7235.trc:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kglpnal_1], [0x3A80C7878], [], [], [], [], [], []
Errors in file /data1/dump/udump/optical1_ora_834.trc:

Issue 2: I am not able to attach a single file of txt type which is less than 2048KB.As soon as I press upload File button after browsing, it disappears.
