How can I create a query to display the total no of employees and, of that total, the number of employees hired in 1995,1996,1997,1998.

I have to display count of employees that belongs to different categories.
is the situatio There is a category table CATEGORY with three columns (PK,NAME,TREEPOSITION) and we have categories A, B, C these three categories can further have sub-categories so the treeposition for the sub categories will be followed by their root category with _ 'symbol'
Now I have table for the employees with 3 columns (pk,name,category_id), where employees.category_id=category.pk So I want to calculate the number of employees in each category or sub-category.
since the number of categories will be large and each will be having different names so going through names will be bad option left is grouping through the treepostion
the problem is I cant use like using IN for the TREEPOSITION. .

View 5 Replies View Related Let's say that we have an order entry app and the price and quantity items are already populated. We now want to show the user the extended price (the product of the first two items). the extended price would automatically display after both the quantity and price items are entered. I'm assuming that would require some kind of client-side processing. I imagine server-side processing is simpler, so I'll lean in that direction. I'm sure we've all seen web sites that require you to click a button for the order totals to be updated. I'm okay with that approach, but I haven't quite put all of the pieces together. Here's what I came up with.
A region button was added to trigger the updating of the extended price. The button's "Action When Button Clicked" is to submit the page. Under "Page Processing", a process was created to do the calculation with the recipient of the product being a page item. From debug code in the procedure, I can see that the item containing the extended price was, indeed, modified. But the new value doesn't display in the field and the Session window shows that the value of the item didn't change.
I must be missing something. The debug code says the item value was updated. The Session window says it wasn't updated. What gives? What did I do wrong and what needs to be done to correct this?
I need to modify my query so that it can give me a total(duration) and total(stlmntcharge) per day in april 2013 starting from the 1st till the 30th. At the moment my query looks like below:

I need the following totals for each student based on the schools that they are enrolled for each month July through June.
Total Days Suspended from each school
Attendance Table Columns - Absent Date, Absent Code, Pupil_Number, School (Absent Codes for suspended = 3)
Total Days Present at each school - Days Enrolled at each school minus Days Suspended minus Absences
Totals Takes the first day that a student is enrolled (counts the days that the school is in session and the student is not marked absent) Student must be enrolled during the time frame for that month.
Total Days Absent - Total days absent minus suspensions

Student withdraws from School 11111 on 11/15/2011

Total Days Present should be totaled for each student for each month that they are in a school.

I am not able to find any information regarding inserting data with timestamp format without putting the date.
This is what i want to do:

I create the column data type as timestamp with time zone. This is value i have inserted:

And now i wish to display it in 'HH24:MI TZR' only after i deduct both of the time. This is the view i have created:

But when i select it display as weird timing because it would default in 'DD-MON-RR HH24:MI TZR' format.
BUT IF i create the view and display as 'HH24:MI TZR', it would gives me error:

Error would be invalid number. How can i display only 'HH24:MI TZR' after subtracting?

I have a requirement where I want to display amount what I have billed to my client and then how I received my amounts from that Bill. For eg.lets say there is bill no 001 amounting 10000 and after some days I received a part payment cheque/cash from client worth 2000 then he gave second part 2000 and then finally I received 2000. I need a query to display only 150 and 162 as they have purchased only one product.
In my form i have 2 datablocks, the first contains only a display item which is populated from a lov when a user presses a button. The second datablock shows a list of items which should be queried dependant on the value of the above LOV. What i thought i could do is on a post-change trigger for the display item is:
