Oracle 10g With Developer 2000 - Report Path?
Feb 6, 2011I am working on oracle 10g with developer 2000 . I have a problem while running reports. when i run a report it goes to a particular path in which my database are not there and hence gives a error 'cannot find server'. everytime i have to physically change the path of the database to run the report.
THE PATH WHERE MY APPLICATION AND THE IP ADDRESS OF WINDOWS SYSTEM IS THIS

WHERE AS THE REPORT TAKES ME TO THIS PATH

I had a look at the reports conf file , but couldnt find the path of the database which the report shows for me to change it. It looks like some where the report path has been hardcoded but i am not able to locate it.
There might be some link missing while installing the application and the database.

Currently I have NetBeans 7.01 installed and I was told I could install NetBeans 7.3 beside it and import plugins from NB 7.01. Well I am not having much luck with this.I have tried the usual shortcuts with only limited success... I did manage to unzip the files.. now I just need to make them available for NetBeans so they can be added as a package.

I can't paste XSLT code here, but below is similar what I am doing.

I have used a reference of random() method of java.lang.Math in xslt file, and it's giving me below error.
ORA-31011: XML parsing failed
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
LPX-00607: Invalid reference: 'random'.
I doubt, it's because of "Math" class, which is not present in Oracle, how to load standard java classes.

May 22, 2012I am trying to invoke program from my local Windows machine (exactly java executor, which is in my environment on c:javajdkinjava) using database package with Java stored procedure.
Everything is fired by SQLPLUS script, this script invokes package with Java stored procedure (jar loaded into Oracle) and that procedure is trying to invoke runtime process (syntax:
c:javajdkinjava -cp
and here ara my classes and main jar) using my local java executor. I added all permissions using dbms_java.grant_permisions (execution forced me to give permissions java.io.FilePermission to <<ALL_FILES>> for execute), moreover I added to my database user JAVASYSPRIV and JAVAUSERPRIV role. Unfortunately, beside this I am still getting error:
C:javajdkinjava not found (Note that lookup with PATH isn't done due to the oracle executable being setuid.)

Some thing like following:
I am logged in to USER1 and my package is inside USER1. From this package I am calling the Java Stored Procedure. In java procedure I want to make a jdbc connection to USER2. The details of USER2(password, hostname,portno) are stored in a table called 'connection_details' and this table is in the USER1.
My problem is how can I issue the
SELECT details FROM CONNECTION_DETAILS for USER2
so that i can get the details..?
Do i need to first make jdbc connection to USER1 and then execute the above query for which i need similar details of USER1. How can i obtain the details of USER1 here.
I am thinking if I am already in USER1 then do I need to make the jdbc connection to USER1 and then execute the query?

I don't want to set this path on every machine. I want to set its dynamic path so that on which even I machine, I run the applicaiton, it will directly find AcroRd32.exe from any drive either C: or D: or anything else...
It might be Acrobat Reader 9.0 or 8.0 whatever version will be installed on client machine...I want to set path according to that..So that whatever version it would be, it doesnt affect the application..

"maximum" in sense that we don't find the value of "b" in "a".
Example :

Again if I query in the table to get the path between 1 and 3 , I want to get the output in the following way -
1-->2-->3
So the query need to work in both the cases. Where root nod can act as an intermediate node or not.

Dec 10, 2012The source server (9.2) is /oracle/data/xxx the destination will be /u02/oradata/xxx how do I get the imp to change the paths.
I know you can't do db_file_name_convert, as that only works in dataguard with rman, and it looks like you can only set compatible down to 10.2, it's a very small DB, (5Mb) but it's a live license server DB, I need it intact.
I tried a straight import, but that just barfed with "IMP-00015: following statement failed because the object already exists:" on every statement.
EDIT: it's lying, the /oracle path doesn't exist, just FYI.
