Vertical scrollbar not showing all the records when I scroll down.
Using Oracle forms 10g , operating system windows.
I have two fields with number of items dispayed = 15.
I have a vertical scroll bar with them. There are 34 records in the table but the scrollbar only shows 15 records.
When I first access the form and query for records, it works as per the expectation and with scroll bar to scroll up and down. But when I do "View>Record>Last", it reaches to last record, but not able to use the scroll bar to scroll the records up(I am on last record, so can't do downward scrolling).
The scroll bar is displaying in Full, no room to scroll up down.It happens only when I do "View>Record>Last".
i need to create a form with 15 col and 10 records in tabular format to display records from the table....i done it with vertical scroll bar ..bt.i need both horizontal and vertical scroll bar for that tabular.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are building a custom form extension with our EBS R12 where against certain parameters we are inserting and updating records in a table through a PL/SQL procedure.This PL/SQL doesn't use a commit exclusively, instead the user must click the Save button after verifying the data (new records are inserted, existing ones are updated and after the insert and update routines, execute_query is fired to fetch the latest data)
Everything works fine, however, when the user clicks on the Save button form status bar says "FRM-40401: No changes to save"
We would like to alter this message with our own custom message stating how many records were inserted and hows many were updated (We have counters counting this information)
Under which particular trigger we should write the code to enhance this requirement?
I need to build a query on making a vertical records to horizontal records. I did read somewhere saying that we can use decode function. But im still trying to understand how decode function can make a vertical records to horizontal records.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get a list of values from a table, and I am just not seeing the answer -I have a table with 4 records (say A, B, C, and D), each record has a GUID to uniquely identify it.I have a 2nd table that holds the relationships (parent-child).
At this point, I have 2 rows:
A>B
A>C
So, A is a parent to B, and A is a parent to C (D is not related to anything at this point)
I would like to be able to go into the D record and see that it is NOT related to A (A would be the parent in this instance) - the trick however is I only want 1 instance of A to show up.attempted to use some inner/outer join qualifications and I just cannot seem to get the data to display properly.

In order to derive parent child relationship I have ran the following query :
select *
from test_pc
start with parent_event_id is null
connect by nocycle prior event_id = parent_event_id;
It is giving all the records except the last one (i.e. event_id = 1003 and parent_event_id = 2005), because the parent_event_id does not exists in the table.
But my requirement is to show all the record, i.e. if the parent_child relationship is present then show accordingly and also show the rest of the records where the parent_child does not exists even the parent_event_id exists.
I am working on oracle 10g forms.my menu is so long and I want to add a vertical scroll bar to my menu .

The first screenshot in attached pdf shows how my form look like, it is having more then 30 columns. And i want a scroll bar as shown in second screenshot in attached pdf.
I have a multi row datablock with scroll bar. In each record I have a checkbox (let's call it check_record), and above these checkboxes, there is a checkbox to check/uncheck all the checkboxes (let's call it check_all).
If all the "check_record" are checked, the "check_all" must be automatically checked, else if one "check_record" is not checked, it will be unchecked.
To do that, I have put a loop in the WHEN-CHECKBOX-CHANGED of "check_record" to loop over all the "check_record" and see if they are checked or not.
Normally, this loop will automatically go to last record. But to go back to the selected record (where the "check_record" was clicked), I have used go_record with the record ID.
==> No problem in that, it's working fine.
Now, this is my problem: When clicking on a "check_record", the scroll bar moves to show the selected row in the first (or last) VISIBLE row in the data block, and that's because of using "GO_RECORD(<CURRENT_RECORD>)".
Example: if I select the third record in the data block, the scroll bar moves to show it in the first visible row.
Is there a way to "freeze" the scroll bar and keep the record in its initial position in the data block?
I have a list item with two values,0 and 1. However when i click on the list item scroll bar appears. My tester is saying for two items she doesn't need a scroll bar.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a multi-record detail block in my form and after querying the form, when I scroll through the scroll bar, it is hanging (freezing) just before reaching the last record.
I have noticed that it never hangs if I use arrow keys to scroll between the records. It only hangs when I use scroll bar or page down key.
Regardless of the number of records fetched, it only hangs when I click the scroll bar (or press page down key) to fetch the last record.
It happens to all my custom forms and I'm developing this for Oracle EBS Apps 11.5.10.2. Oracle JInitiator Version is 1.3.1.21 and my form builder is Forms 6.0.8.28.0.
Refresh my memory if there's a way to display vertical text on buttons in forms?

I have two graph pj item in oracle block one is pie chart and other is vertical bar graph... there is color display in bottom of pie graph which is red=50,yellow-30 and orange=20 ..and in vertical bar red=50,but orange=30 and yellow is 20 ..means orange and yellow is interchange in bar graph..how i can same the both graph value..

We are using ERP based on Oracle 10g forms, there is icons on the buttons those icons are displaying when we uses the ERP in Windows based client and browser Internet Explorer.But when we uses Opera browser we are getting ERP but icons are not displaying.
Same way when we uses Linux client machine using Mozilla Firefox there also the icons are not displaying.

Then I save ,compile and Run it successfully .But when i press Execute Query button . It shows me Following error message .

I am facing one confusion with canvas changing and message displaying issue i have one login page. in that there are three fields username,password and department in the department i having 5 departments including salesandmarketing
the requirement once i entered every credentials correctly and i am logging in as salesandmarketing. When the salesandmarketing canvas opens a message should display saying "you are successfully entered into sales and marketing".
i have my home page as content canvas and sales and marketing as tab canvasi need to do the same message when i am entering into 5 departments with corresponding department name in the message end instead of salesandmarketing

I have written a cursor which is fetching it like A,B,C and assigning it in a display field.
It is working fine.
I want to display it in single text field but in multiple lines.i have set the property multiline to yes in property insepector.
I want to display it like

B
C
but it should remain in single field/text box. Infact i am unable to break the line in cursor.
i am seting runtime where clause on Forms as follow:

i wann data between this dates but date parameter is not working it showing all data...... where synatx get wrong..
In my forms(version 9i), list item values showing with ALT + DOWN key combination but I want to change it to only DOWN key.I search this combination in FMRWEB.RES file but there isn't any entry of ALT + DOWN.

I have checked my PRIMARY KEY field and there is no mistake and value is populating at PRE INSERT.
To branch & scroll to a specific position within a page (upon initial page load), is using a named anchor still the recommended/modern way to do this or is there some jQuery plugin goodness that does a better job?
