I want to create a news ticker to scroll the images horizontal at the bottom of the page.
I tried with the text content its working fine but and coming to the images its not working.
how to use the workspace images into the news ticker.
To branch & scroll to a specific position within a page (upon initial page load), is using a named anchor still the recommended/modern way to do this or is there some jQuery plugin goodness that does a better job?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a number of pages containing charts and gantts. I want the user to be able to filter the data shown in these various charts. More than that, I want the user's filters to persist between pages. So, if they select "Key project = 'Y'" on the gantt page, the gantt will filter - and if they then navigate to a report (bar chart) page, that will also be filtered for Key projects only.
To make this happen, I plan to have an identical sidebar on all these pages. This will contain maybe 8 dropdowns and tickboxes allowing the user to create or remove these filters. Eventually some users might save preferences for certain choices within these dropdowns.
Since the sidebar will almost always be identical from page to page, the smartest approach would seem to be to create one sidebar (as html region) and access that sidebar from all pages rather than copying the code from page to page. Then I thought I'd create application-level items in order to create global variables for each of the dropdowns.
My question is: is this approach possible? And can I create a "global" region in Page 0 and then access it from other pages? (This is how I thought it would work but I have tried and can't see how to do it.)
My collection is not working as expected, what could be the issue here. This is what i did,
1. I created a collection in a process to fire on page load

On my page i have a text field P1_text1 when i enter value into text field like ="sample data" i want this data loaded into my collection, so i created a button and added a process(on submit - before computations...) so it should insert into the collection when i click the button but no data is loaded, process:

p_collection_name => 'MMMM',
p_c001 => :P1_TEXT1,
p_c002 => 'TESTDATA' );
3. when i run the below query it shows "no data found" ,

I am using APEX.ORACLE.COM environment.
I am using APEX 4.0, my regions need to be displayed at "Display Point: Display Template Body 2" in column 2.I have 2 regions I want displayed horizontally, side by side.I want to use a parent region to contain them. I create my parent region, called it A, template = Reports, assign it to sequence = 10.I create my 2 sub region (B) and (C), sequence 20 and 30, template = Navigation, picking parent = A.By default, B displays above C. URL....
I copied the Navigation template, creating a new one called NAV2 and added this in the sub-region template section:(this cut/paste) doesnt display well here: it is the exact DIV begin/end block as posted above.

I changed regions (B) and (C) to use template = NAV2, without any change in display behavior.I read further in the above post where it was recommended to reset the clear property, so I changed the above style like to: style="float: left;clear:none;".
I've edited the XML on the Chart Attributes page but I don't find atrtributes to rotate the y-axis title (<text>TITLE</text>) nor the letters themselves in the title. What I'd like is something very close to

But what I get is a horizontal title rotated -90 degrees. I've looked at lots of Anychart documentation but don't find anything that seems to fit with the XML already given on the Chart Attributes page. I've seen the "rotate" attribute but I don't know where it would go and even then, I'm sure it only rotates the title as a unit and not the individual letters.
Is there a way to add a water mark on the uploaded images. I searched the web it could be done with PHP, but what about APEX ?

Button and dynamic action are on page 305. I can now open Page 306 as modal window but the page will close immediately.
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
I am new to APEX and I am developing an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a page (8) that has text items for the username and the database name. I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *FROM valid_dbWHERE username = :FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How do I accomplish this?
I have different public page (page1) and different page for authorized user(page5).Upon successful login after process validation ,computation it should navigate to authorized user page 5 but the branching does work it keeps on going to page 1 .
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded our test APEX environment from 3.2.1 to 4.1.1.00.23. Everything went smoothly - I have only one small but annoying problem. In both administration and administration services some background graphics are not displayed. This issue occurs only under Mozilla Firefox (in MS IE it OK). The application frontend is OK in both browsers.
Under Firefox, I inspected the sourcecode in Firebug and the relative links to images. e.g.
background: url("../apex/builder/bg-region-darkblue-r.gif") no-repeat scroll
show message "Failed to load the given URL".
somehow related to the fact that our application is accessed via apache proxy. Because when I open the administration and/or administration services page in FF directly on the server, it displays correctly (incl. images).
But the network (Apache proxy) configuration is exactly the same as in the previous version of APEX where we had no problem. Something must have changed in the sourcecode of the new version.
I have a web page written by pl/sql and html which some jpg files are published. Currently they are linked by html from a directory source. There are almost 70000 files which makes 1.15 gb. I want to store them in our oracle database but I have never done this before.
What I want to learn is how will be the performance for selecting from many jpg files with select statement and how much space would they keep in the database?
Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection
how to reset the page item fields.

How do I center a button within a region? I tried 'align="center"' but this seemed to be ignored. The button is at the left of the screen. Also, what are the 'display points' (Page Template Region Position 1-8) used for, and why is there a specification for column position of 1-9? Could these be attributes that will allow my button to be centered on the window instead of on the left?

I created a page with 2 tree regions. Both trees use different items and different queries. The first tree is displayed correctly. But the second one just contains the first item, if I don't display the first on via customizing the page or if I change the order of the trees the previoulsy invalid tree is shown correctly, but I didn't find a way to display both correct at the same time.
Trying to create a "page zero". Usually in previous releases this is done executing the following:
1. On the Workspace home page, click Application Builder.
2. Select an application.
3. The Application home page appears.
4. Click the Create Page button.
5. For Select a page type, select Page Zero.
Note that the Page Zero option only appears if the application does not have a page zero.
6. Click Finish.
Since the upgrade to 4.2 this option is not available or has move. (I do not have a page zero already created.)

What is the best way to start. Should I change Page Template or Region template.
There are some standard .css files.
When I create a new page item via copying from existing page item it fails with the below error code, if there is > or < character in the source of the existing item.Error Source contains <, > or " which are invalid characters. It works fine if I create new item using wizard and then have the same source. I use div tags in the source of my display only items.
