how to use of Database link (DBLINK) in D2K form and report PL/SQL.When I Use the DB Link in Pl/SQL of any form6i or report 6i, On compilation forms and reports are automatically closed.

Apex 4.2.0.00.27 I have a page with a Form region and a Classic Report region. How can I automatically save changes made in the Form when a user clicks the Edit link column in the Report? At the moment, when the user returns to the Form, any changes made there are lost.

I have two tables Loan and deduction
Loan(
loan_number number(5)unique not null,
loan_name varchar(15)not null,
loan_type varchar(15)not null,
actual_amount number(10)not null,

Both have loan_number columns as the primary key.
I created two separate forms using loan table and Deduction table.
Also according to requirement, when commiting in the loan form ,if 'loan_purpose' is 'PERSONAL' THEN deduction form SHOULD BE OPENED.
I MANAGED TO DO ALL OF THE ABOVE .
WHAT I WANT IS when deduction form pops up, it should have a matching loan_number as in loan form What shall I do to achieve this???.
can we pass parameter in a link. i.e when we open a new form clicking on the link, some values to be passed to the form so that new form get populated with that value.

and my question is when i call a report from form it shows the syntax error or command line.if i give the value MNC 23 MSD (or) LLP 2 MC in forms it run good.But if i give UBS 2" MD (or) ALL 1"MD (or) LKT 11" WIP in forms it through REP-159 Syntax error or command line.
I have added a text field on forms 6i which calls reportAfter adding the new field called "appeal_name" it gave me the desired result for two three times and somehow after that it started to throw this error
ORA- 00933. I did try to find solution on the web and was given the hint that this occurs due to space or indentation in the coding. I have used Ltrim and Rtrim to remove any space when I added the text field "appeal_name", Following code has been added

I am using Forms / Reports Developer Version 6. When I run the report through form the Report runs but updated file was not executed. The path from which I run report through form contains updated report name. When I run report by using Report runtime shortcut then updated report will run. The report path mention in form using run_product also contains the updated file but didn't execute the updated file.

I have an Interactive Report with a column that I need to create a link on but I need to pass the value of another column.
This report shows the Features of a particular Release. There is a select list for the Release that is selected and executes the report. There is a column that indicates whether the Feature has a Commitment attached to it. If there is have that a link to another report that shows all the Commitments for that Feature by passing the FEATURE_ID which is also a column on the Feature report.
Query:

I have a requirement where users will select an instance (db link) from an apex LOV and the data in an interactive report will query based on the db link selected. I can use a db link in an interactive report query but only if I provide the exact name of the link. If I do something link select * from foo@:P12_ DBLINK it doesn't work. It seems my only option is to use something like apex_collection.create_collection_from_query and then I can build my query with dynamic sql and use a variable for the dblink name. Then I just create an IRR based on my collection. Does that sound like that correct approach and/or am I missing anything?

I Have an apex page that display a modal window utilizing jquery. In the modal window I have a classic report with a link column that I want to capture its click event.
I was thinking I could create a dynamic action with selection type=jquery selector. Not for sure if I need to do anything on link column and do not know the syntax jquery selector.

I have some classic reports.
I go to Report Attributes, then I click Add Column Link in the "Tasks" right menu, it adds me a column link, I just add some text for the link and a page to go to. Then I run the report and I get :

I want to call a Web form which should upload the image from my local machine.For that I have created a form which will take necessary data about employee now I want to Insert Image for that employee into table as I am new I struct on the Image uploading form. Latter I have seen the Enter & Maintain form which have Picture button.Pressing this button we get one new web form open & we can upload our image from there.

How can I reload the Calling Form (FORM_A) when I closed the called form (FORM_B)?
