i have create database link with msaccess2000 its working fine in forms 6i i am trying to upload data by using forms 6i while compiling form is automatically closed my code is this

I have a form, using views which has tables from other databases.
e.g. :my database name is G1 here i have a view

i am linking my database G1 with Above Database. so after using this in my form as
'INMATMAS.mr_head@DB_OPTIMAT'[/email]
for insert/select. i cant able to compile it. form closes immediately when i compile this.
One user complained that, his session is closing automatically when his session exceeds exactly 01 hour 1 minute.
default profile is assigned for this user. I checked the idle_time value of this default profile. it is UNLIMITED only. What else I need to check to find out is there any timeout parameter has been set or not?

I would like to know if there's a way to create a temporary table so that: - the table will be deleted automatically when a specific db connection closes (obligatory) - the table is visible for just one specific connection (optional)
What I would like to do is: 1 - Get the result set for query A. 1a - process the results 1b - store the results in a performance friendly way ( I thought about a temp table) 2 - Run query B over result set A. 3 - Run query C over result set A. X - The stored result set A has to be removed before/when the program ends (ideally when the db connection closes).
The problem isn't how to do this in java. The problem is to do it in a way so that the table will be automatically removed when the db connection used to create it will be closed so that's unimportant if the java program crashes or ends normally.
Iam working with a form thru which I need to port nearly 7 laks of data into table. Earlier I had created a form thru which I read the data from the text file and inserting into the table. This was taking lot of time and as well after an hour or so, after porting 50k rows the program got terminated and shows an error like Network Inturpted.
So I have decided to use some other option and found that I can use either SQL Loader or external Tables. I had choosed SQL loader option and created a form along with a control file and batch file based on some forum posting.

With above all the form works perfectly in local system which is the development evironment and also client PC. And I was able to port those 7 laks rows in 3 miniutes. Now the real problem, If I need to move this to live application server, I had to move three files [ FMB, CTL and BAT ]. I have some problems in moving the other two files to the application server [ waiting for approval from bozz ]. And more over, I had to hard code the user id and password in the BAT file, i think which may not be a best practice and also not safe.
So I have decieded to do all from forms and found same sort of script. I took it and modified to my needs.Code from form's when button pressed which is not working
when I try to connect my forms 6i with oracle 9i database, forms stop working and closed immediately at the meanwhile tnslsnr also stop working. This problem also persists in forms runtime.
I am working on Forms [32 Bit] Version 11.1.1.4.0 (Production). OS is Win 7 (32 bit). Internet Explorer 8. My Requirement is I need to raise an alert when user close the browser window before closing the Form.
I am getting this err ora-31640 while compling a menu in forms6i and when i have searched in oracle it is giving in forms 6i shared submenu's are not supported.
when i press when button pressed trigger, i want first the form will delete all the previous data and then populate the data from the table, that's why i used clear_block first, but this clear_code is not working here. my coding is given below

whether Oracle has any capability of automatically checking which lossless compression algorithm it should apply by analyzing a data stream on data load? Does Oracle have any compression advisors/wizards that would make recommendations as to type and level of compression?
I cann't commit form when new instance form with form status is "NEW".

And then i click button "Import Data" from excel file to Data Block. Now form status change to "CHANGED". But i cannot call "Commit_Form" built-in to insert data to database oracle 10g.
I need to upload data from XML file to oracle database table.For this I have referred some websites in which solutions given in a such a way that loading entire XML file into LOB column inside the table.But I want only data to be extracted from XML file.

I have 4 blocks in my form which is basically used for travel booking for the employees in a company within India
1) Header block :- contains info abt the person who is booking the tickets for number of employees. Here i have given booking no a primary key.
2) Employee Detail :- Here the basic info of an employee is entered. Here i have taken booking number as a foreign key and then given emp_cd & booking number as a composite primary key.
3) Travel Detail :- Here the travel detail of individual employee will be entered wherein a unique trv_no will b generated 4 every single travel. Again i have taken foreign key as bkng_no frm 1st blck and emp_cd frm 2nd blck and tkn a composite primary key which comprises of bk_no,emp_cd and trv_no. this is used to maintain the uniqueness for single travel.
4) Vehicle Hotel Details :- This block is placed on different canvas for same form.It is meant for Other details in which details regarding hotel,vehicle etc booking aftr reaching the destination is entered. In this block thrs no primary key, but i hv taken the composite primary key of 3rd block as a foreign key since thr will be multiple entries for this one entire travel.
At every level there will be multiple entries for each corresponding entered record. I am able to enter one single record properly i.e. for 1 emp i am able to enter multiple travel details and his other requirements but asi try to enter more then one employee info, his travel details, other requirements i face an error stating foreign key constraint violated.Parent key not found for 3 rd level block.
How can i get the desired o/p wherein all the multiple records for every single subsequent record are stored correctly taking all the constraints in to consideration.

I am uploading the data file which is a .csv, into one of the tables.. Few columns of the data file, contains sentences in German - like- Lötstelle Zinnspritzer Zinnschluß .. and while loading the problem that i encounter is - it doesnt recognize the commas, and doesnt know where the field ends.. e.g., in this line 1540,Lötstelle Zinnspritzer Zinnschluß,solder short,45230,94885,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
sometimes it assumes comma after 1540,Lö,tstelle and then no commas till Lö, tstelle Zinnspritzer Zinnschlußsolder short,
and sometimes, the whole as one line Lötstelle Zinnspritzer Zinnschlußsolder short4523094885,0,0
I have a Excel File which contains some columns and rows, i need to load that excel into a form and import that form data to Database Table, using DDE Method.
In simple i say; Just to read the excel and load into a form, which can be imported into a table later.
I have a problem with my DB agent. it doesn't upload data correctly, so I can't see updated information in first page of EM ( it doesn't show cpu usage, Active Sessions, Listener properties,...). when I checked the logs, I found that emagent.trc shows this error: "exceed max amount of upload data: 77 files, 52M, disabling collections warn : collector : disable collector"
Is it possible for Access to extract data from an Oracle database and upload it directly?
Currently we have a business process where data is being extracted in scheduled queries (30+) to Excel spreadsheets, then manually edited to remove heading lines and imported to an Access database. I see an opportunity to automate a time consuming manual activity by having the Access db extract the data and directly upload it.
- A Master/Detail form which is called from previously saved table. - In the detail form, user is allowed to insert list of data from other block into the current detail form. For that I have one when_button_pressed with the following script define :-

When this is none, nothing being happened on the current block ( 'ACT_QT_TXN1'), I think it is because of the master/detail link where it always looks back the original link data. I think this is very common problem but I just can't figure out how to go about it.
I'm trying to change the attributes on a display where the info is gathered via a routine that fills the data block with info. I've searched and tried using 'set item instance property' in several places within the data block using different triggers but still doesn't work.
No errors are encountered or shown. Attributes aren't changed based on a small test condition.
I have to do upload into the table through a csv file . The table's primary key i have to load the rest through user's uploaded file. Is it possible to do the data loading to the table only to required columns and fill the other columns from backend. Or is there any other way to do this?
