While connecting my oracle with My JDBC driver . i got an SQLException:
public class Orajdbc { public static void main(String args[]) { try { Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"); Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection [code]......
i am successfully connected by type 1 odbc driver but while i want to connect it with "ojdbc6.jar" file then i got this exception i already added that jar file to my Environment variable ClASSPATH ..
I have local development Oracle 9i database in my Windows XP. I see it uses TNS Listener port 1521. For some reason it must be using port 8080 also or in the background because it seems to not let my local web container (Apache Tomcat which uses Port 8080) on the same workstation work when it (TNS Listener) is turned on. how I edit the Listener port number and if I do change the port number what other things do I need to change such as the OEM login settings to the local database
Current listener port is 1521. I have been asked to change it to 10526
I tried changing the port number in the listener.ora file and then restarting the listener but the I start getting "ORA-12541: TNS: no listener" error. If I change it back to 1521 and restart the listener, I am able to connect to the database. What else do I need to do to change the port #? After I change the port and restart, here is what I tried to test: $ sqlplus user/password@sid...ERROR:ORA-12541: no listener Enter user-name: When I rollback the port# change, I am able to login.
Version : Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
I have a source which is of datatype RAW(1). Basic requirement is to convert it into binary, and then lookup the value of the 4th and 6th bit. Is this possible using simple SQL ?
Eg.
DataBinary ----- ------- EF1110 1111
From this binary output, i need to find the value of 4th and 5th bit. So if the 4th bit is 1, I need to perform some operations if 0 then some other.
Create table test_hex_to_bin (col1 raw(1));
INSERT into test_hex_to_bin values ('99'); INSERT into test_hex_to_bin values ('EF'); INSERT into test_hex_to_bin values ('AB');
i am trying to chnage the default port number of listener but facing problems in instance registration. i did as follows:
1. stop the listener as lsnrctl stop (default listener). 2. chnage the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora with desire port numbers (1526) as follows:- [code] LISTENER = (DESCRIPTION_LIST = (DESCRIPTION =
[code]...
but i didnt get the reason of aforsaid error and my instance is not registering
The code which I am working on consists of an incoming dynamic string which be in the form of binary digits. The max size of the string will be 12 digits. For example, the string can be '111011000001', '000000000000', '111111011111', etc.
I need to find the number of occurences of '111' in the incoming string. Say in the 1st example, result will be 1, in the 2nd example result will be 0, and in the third example, the result will be 3.
I have been trying to capture the string length and replacing the variables '111' to find the number of occurences, but it isn't giving me the result that I want. This is what I have tried
SQL> conn hr/hr Connected. SQL> show user USER is "HR"
[Code]....
I searched the forum and found a similar topic, and following that guideline, I even tried dividing the string with the length of the pattern. It works in some scenarios (the first and second examples mentioned below), while it fails in some scenarios (third example mentioned below)
SQL> select (length('11101110111') - length(replace('11101110111','111','')))/length('111') as occurences from dual;
OCCURENCES ---------- 3
SQL> select (length('110111110111') - length(replace('110111110111','111','')))/length('111') as occurences from dual;
OCCURENCES ---------- 2
SQL> select (length('111111111111') - length(replace('111111111111','111','')))/length('111') as occurences from dual;
if there is any inbuilt function or way to find a row in the table that is having value for maximum number of columns.
For example, the table A has 5 columns (c1,c2,c3,c4,c5) and it has 3 records(r1,r2,r3) and r1 has values only for c1,c2 r2 has values only for c1,c2,c3,c4 r3 has values only for c1
so I should get the result as "r3 has values for 4 columns & it is not having value for column c5".
For every connection, oracle listener creates a unique dynamic port. Is this can be made static port for all connection? This a query raised in our penetration testing.
I have developed a form based on a database of books. The information displayed during run time is Sr No, Book name,Author, Copies, Description and Image(of the book)
I have written a PL/SQL code to display the image of the respective book for every new record. E.g Book1 should display image1, book2 displays image2 and so on. This should happen at runtime. The code is:
declare gif_image varchar2(80):='c:ProjectBooks'; photo_filename varchar2(80); begin photo_filename := gif_image||lower(:books.sr_no)||'.gif'; [code].......
The error i get during compilation is
Error 49 at Line 5, column 37 bad bind variable 'books.sr_no'
I am trying to create a datablock based on a procedure , but im getting errors in compilation:
Errors are : 1) identifier 'HSM_WSH_DEL_UTIL.DEL_TBL' must be declared
2) PL/SQL ERROR 320 at line 7, column 27 the declaration of the type of this expression is incomplete or malformed
Heres my pkg spec and body for the data block:
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE hsm_wsh_del_util IS TYPE del_record IS RECORD (delivery_id NUMBER); TYPE del_tbl IS TABLE OF del_record INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
PROCEDURE do_query (p_del IN OUT del_tbl); END hsm_wsh_del_util; [Code] .....
i want to online my oracle 10g database but when i make connection string then i don't know what the port i set. I set default port 1521 but it not work on client site .
