i'm use oracle form builder 6i when i use tree item to display data
the data have been displayed normally but at runtime when i resize the window the 'tree data' is hidden with no error.
I would like to display data using the Hierarchical tree up to 3 levels.I need to create all the nodes programatically.
Means Create the parent (Parent1) level nodes , then create the child (Child1) nodes and add them under the parent1.Similarly create child nodes (Child2) and add them under the parent (Child1).
I have a problem with finding a node in my tree, but when I click the find button, it threw a message NO DATA FOUND.
here is the code that I used in find button:

Jow can i sort field data getting from formula column. The filed that i want to sort have source of that formula column. When i use order by clause with :abc ---(formula column) then it doesn't not work.

1) 1161, 1162, 1163
2) DHM, 162
3) DTH, 163
etc
But when i extract this to excel the data is displayed as
1) 116111621163
2) DHM, 162
3) DTH, 163
The value in the first row is displayed with out commas. How to extract the data as it is in the field?
I have query in that query i should display the number of row. I have tried to select the row num but when i use it the data will be duplicated. I have found something that related to use temporary table, or subquery but all of them will not work because the query depends on many tables and if i use temporary table filling the table and then reading from it will take too long time.

I developed a form in forms9i, at the time of data entering form is not showing any ERROR messages or SAVE RECORD message and when I press exit button it is asking "DO YOU WANT TO SAVE THE CHANGES YOU HAVE MADE".
I have checked my PRIMARY KEY field and there is no mistake and value is populating at PRE INSERT.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a forms 11g application that of course has several message and alert windows that pop up when various errors or messages need to be displayed. This all works great on the developer machine, but when I try and run the form on another machine using any browser the message and alert windows appear to be hidden and the application locks up with the rolling bar across the bottom. I would guess it is waiting for a response, but I cannot get the window to appear.
Following is an example of an alert to be displayed:

I am working on forms 6i. I have one data block based on table EMP.
Datablock-A: Empno, Ename, Sal
I have FIND Screen: Empno, Ename, FIND Button.
I can search the data through FIND Screen and populate data in Datablock A.
I am using below logic to search data through FIND Screen.
When-Button-Pressed(FIND Button): calling 'EXECUTE_QUERY'.
In Pre-query trigger of DatablockA:
copy(:FIND.EMPNO,'BLOCKA.EMPNO');
copy(:FIND.ENAME,'BLOCKA.ENAME');
It's working fine. But below case is failing.
Let us say, if i enter empno 10 (which is not there in database) in FIND Screen --> press FIND Button, it's showing up 'QUERY CAUSED NO RECORDS', Till this point it's working fine;. But after this, if i press CTR+F11 in block A, it's not pulling records. only this case it's not pulling records.
But if i enter something else in FIND Screen, if it returns any data, then if i press CTR+F11,it's pulling all records.
why it's failing to pull records if i try to query data in first case only.

In order to derive parent child relationship I have ran the following query :

from test_pc
start with parent_event_id is null
connect by nocycle prior event_id = parent_event_id;
It is giving all the records except the last one (i.e. event_id = 1003 and parent_event_id = 2005), because the parent_event_id does not exists in the table.
But my requirement is to show all the record, i.e. if the parent_child relationship is present then show accordingly and also show the rest of the records where the parent_child does not exists even the parent_event_id exists.
I have a block in the form which is based of a table as data source and so when i query on the form using a execute_query inbuilt statement is fired and all the records in the table behind is retrived and displayed. Also if i need to update any record i can do in on the screen and use commit_form so that all the changes go into the underlying table. Now my problem is when i retrieving my records i want to filter those records based on some conditions to be displayed in the form and not all records to be retrieved. Is it possible to do it if I am using the execute_query inbuilt and my block is based of a table?

In my form I have a submit button, when i click on it a sequence number to be generated and displayed in a text box.
I have created a sequence and tried inserting into table, it works fine however it's not getting displayed in form.
Note: Tried giving sequence.sequence_name.nextval in initial value of the text box, didn't work showed FRM-11324 error.

i have a cursor which selects the codes based on the school records now i have a multi record block b1 the requirement is that if no of records selected in cusor is 10 then in block b1 10 records should be displayed and if it is 15 then 15 records should be displayed. Is there any way that i can set the no of records displayed in a block dynamically.The block b1 is non database block i am only using a create_record to populate the block.

Now, if the user want to print it as a report, we store the displayed data in a dummy table and run the report using that dummy table and then delete records from it.

I have a Master block and a Detail Block. They are related using two columns, Document_ID and Page_no. I want to display all the records in master table with corresponding detail records beside them in single line. i.e., as shown below:

I created the relation between them and executed query. When I execute query in the form, I can find that all the Master Items are displayed in vertical records, but i can only see one record of detail fields. They are displayed as shown below:
