Forms :: Can Execute Query On Datablock On Same Time

I have designed a form in which there are two datablocks one contains the major details and the other contains details saved under that record. And it is working properly. If you are not getting then take an example of department and employee datablocks, first contains the info of department and second contains the employee info working in that department.
now what i want to do is to make the life of user easier, as the records are displaying properly so if user want to know that this record is present in the details of that header so while scrolling all records can he search by putting some info in the detail block to get that result while remaining on the same datablock?

I currently have a form and when I am logged in as the owner the execute query button can be performed. But when I try and do this with another user the query cannot be executed. I have granted the users with the correct privileges. I am now trying to re-create the data block but with using the synonym but the synonyms cannot be found.

I have one plsql table which is having 10,000 rows, i want to populate this values in a forms datablock, i have used the below query in pre-query of that block

set_block_property('blk_name', query_data_source_name, 'select e.ename, e.empno from table(plsql_rec) e');
end;
in the property of the block i set like below
Database Data Block = YES
Query Allowed = YES
Query Data Source Type = FROM clause query
Query Data Source Name = SELECT 1, 2 FROM DUAL
but while executing it says invalid identifier "plsql_rec",

I have one inline view query which shows exec\ fetch : 2 sec\ 19 sec It gives 500 rows as final out put, when i give rownum<100 it shows exec\ fetch : 1 sec\ 000 sec, and i cannot use this rownum< 100 alternative as this is inline subquery of big query.
What does this exec and Fetch time is?
How to improve fetch time, (esp with sub-query) ?

How do you refresh a datablock after DML operation(s) - INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE? I know "EXECUTE_QUERY" retrieves records, but what trigger do I use to automatically refresh the datablock after these operations - my form only has 1 datablock.

i want to decode a column(aan_status) of a datablock based on table. the column have value in the form of 0 and 1, and i want to display this value as yes(0) or no(1) on my oracle form. how can i do this and where should i put my code???
i tried this by

but if else part of my code is not working, as i got the data still in 0 and 1 format, not in 'YES' or 'NO' format.

I am developing an application for making the travel entries for my organization employees.
For that purpose I have 3 datablocks named:
1) Travel header
2) Employee Detail
3) Travel Detail
which are interlinked through constraints.
I want to give 2 options ie. either single booking entry or Group booking entry.
The form is working properly for single booking entry. But when I want to make a group booking wherein many employees have to travel between common locations I have to fill all the travel details again for all employees. I want to avoid that since it wont give a feasibility for this application. I can copy the travel details I have entered for the 1st employee. I am uploading the form layout.

Something strange happens when i give execute query in a form (Oracle Forms 10g.). On executing query, one field disappeared but when i clicked on the location of the field it appeared again. I am not sure if this has something to do with visual attributes/display properties. This is happening only after migration to 10g.

Following is basic program that i create : When User Press Execute Query Button at Run time ,then Program shows him Detail Of employess from Employess Table In Form Style .For example If Present Record is Of Employee Number 7369 ,Then user can Have also the option or button that by which he can also view Report Of Employee Number 7369 .
I am unable to understand that i need to write a code [Report Buitins] for it or i need to do something from REPORTS option avalabe in Forms .

I've got a problem with binding my selected data from one data block to another. When I'd finished selecting my data(subjects in this case),
and I clicked schedule button, my selected data were not bound into the textboxes in schedule datablock.this what happened.the code i used in when-checkbox-changed trigger:

i am writing a code on form "CANCEL" button which mean to cancel the current user action .now if the last action was execute_query so when user click the cancel button so my logic should capture the last query fired on form through ":SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY" and then execute the last query through EXECUTE_QUERY but my problem is that how i execute my last_query through execute_query.

i am populating 3 records in my data block.i do not want more than 3 rows.but when i click the plus icon in form menu one more row is getting generated which i do not want. i can restrict the new record addition through plus icon in menu bar for a particular block.

I have connected to the database from two sessions
Box 1 : i have executed a procedure.it took few seconds to get executed
Box 2 : I have executed a block of procedure.It is taking 1 min 40 secs to get executed.
why it is taking much time from Box2(for executing a block from procedure) , as the same code executed successfully in a procedure from Box 1.

I've used a date in execute immediate query in function, but at the time passing the date as input parameter and getting the result i'm getting following error.

I want to execute a dynamic query which is stored in a Table.
Output of that query should be stored in database server.

when I execute the above procedure it gives the following error.
ORA-00911: invalid character
cause: Identifiers may not start with any ASCII characters other than letters and numbers.$#_ are also allowed after the first character. Identifiers enclosed by double quotes may contain any character other than a double quote. Alternative quotes(q'#....#') can not use spaces, tabs, or carriage returns as delimiters. For all other contexts, consult the SQL language reference Manual.
I think dynamic sql is not executed because of the pipe character in the sql statement.

I want to execute a DML query with execute immediate statement. That DML query length exceeds 4000 characters. This query has Xquery related conditions, i can not split the query. when i tried execute it is giving "string literal too long". I tried with DBMS_SQL.Parse() and DBMS_SQL.Execute also, but it is giving same error. I have to execute this DML query inside a Procedure. We are using oracle 10g version
