Forms :: Setup Form And Database Table For Time Entry Only (exclude Date)?
Feb 19, 2010I have a form that the user has to enter a time of an event.
The time entered will most likely be in the past and NOT the current time.
What is the best way to set up a form and a database table for time entry only (exclude the date)?
I have tried datetime on the form with format HH12:MM PM and date on the database.
I have also tried the same with a timestamp on the database.
The time always appears to get entered correctly. However, the time is always stored as AM regardless of what is specified by the user.

Dec 5, 2011I have made one application form where users need to enter some data. This data is getting inserted in four tables. As in for now the data is properly getting saved and retrieved only for one user at a time. But problem arrives when more than one users are simultaneously making an entry and saving the data at one time.Same number is getting generated for the users who are saving the data at one time which should not happen.

I need a query which will fetch only 3 rows for a day. For eg if today is 18-jan-2012, then i have to show rows whose deadline date is 18-jan-2011, 19-jan-2011 and 20-jan-2011. And on 18-Jan-2011, after 10.50 a.m it should not consider deadline date 18-jan-2011, instead it show deadline date is 21-jan-2011.
This deadlinedate will not have all dates, only exchange working dates, so at one time we should show only the probable 3 deadline dates..

And then i call:

table 2 has arnd 1,700,000 rows and has a primary key on column id.This query is taking around 20 secs to execute. I checked the x-plan and most of time taken for table access by index rowid.I checked the stats for the tab2, its just three days old.

so my result should be 17-May-11 10:20:55 Am(Assuming current Date is 17-May-11) . I tried search it by i found a way in sql server by using DataAdd and DataDiff .

Dec 20, 2012I want to convert my forms6i application into forms9i therefore I initially converted my login and explorer form.
In my login form, I am using NEW_FORM to close my login form and wants to activate my explorer form but every time a pop-up raised and asked "DO YOU WANT TO CALL THE NEW FORM?", if I pressed YES then pointer moved to explorer form.
This form is working perfectly in 6i and didn't asked anything and moved to successfully to explorer form.

Apr 5, 2013When I invoke SOAP Web-Service using APEX_WEB_SERVICE.MAKE_REQUEST, then I'm able to get response from web-service. However all German character are replaced by JUNK data. However data is coming fine when I test web-services using SOAP UI.
I tried to invoke web-service using UTL_HTTP. However when I use UTL_HTTP, then I'm getting following error.
ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list
<li> Why German characters are replaced by Junk data while invoking web-service from APEX, while it's working fine from SOAP UI
<li> When I can access web-service successfully using APEX_WEB_SERVICE, then why it's throwing ORA-24247 error when I call using UTL_HTTP?

For example, I have an oracle form that applies the below masking code for a certain field called CUSTOMER_ID

But I only want this masking to be applicable to CERTAIN users. For example, the psuedo code would be like

SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('CUSTOMER_ID',CONCEAL_DATA,PROPERTY_TRUE);
Note that this users_list is a group of oracle database users, so I am a member of this group. Also note that this form is applied via the web via the application server.

My first idea looks like this:
In each form I add a package that works like this:
block := first block
loop
..item := first item
..loop
....set item label or prompt to new language
....exit when item = last item
....item := next item
..end loop
..exit when block = last block
..block := next block
end loop
That far everything is fine. With the get_form_property I can access the first and last block and always get the next block with the get_block_property. Same is true for the items by get_block_property for the first and last item and the get_item_property for the next item. By this way I can dynamically chance all item prompts and labels without knowing the name or the number of blocks and items. But what about radio groups? Is there any possibility (and if yes, which?) to get the first, last and next radio button of a radio group in the same way?
