Forms :: Login In Same Form With Different User?
Dec 1, 2010I have a mainform through which one can access 3 different application(say a ,b,c)i have made three push buttons by clicking it the main menu of the respeective application is called.The three applcication have different users(user a,user b,userc)and have different database on the same version(db1,db2,db3 on 111g).I am using formservlet and i am calling the main form. configuration.I dont want the user to enter the username and password so i have hardcored it in formsweg.cfg file. my problem is that i login to the main form as 'user a' so i can access the application'a'.but now if i want to access applicatin 'b' how can i can i login as 'user b'?

May 3, 2011I have designed a Login form which takes username, password and connect string is hardcoded.I have compiled it, made an fmx file. created a shortcut to desktop. given the BIN path in shortcut.
when i want to lauch it, oracle's default login popup is shown.It can be by passed while defining username/password@string in shortcut properties but it reveals the password. every one can access it. I want to launch my own form without logging in to oracle. how can i avoid default login popup?

My question is, how can i create connection string for each one in form builder? after connect to per database i want to select some quires, for example

Dec 18, 2012I am customizing a standard form to allow user to copy values. It works fine when I open the form, query a record and hit copy. But if I copy something to the clipboard from the records before I hit copy button, the form behaves differently and throw errors. Can I do something before the copy procedure work to eliminate this error?

I used a data block wizard and given a push_buttonwith (execute_query). But it's very clumsy. For eg, if the user presses next the next button then all the records are being displayed. Is there any way to do this thing in a better way?

As in for now the data is properly getting saved and retrieved only for one user at a time. But problem arrives when more than one users are simultaneously making an entry and saving the data at one time.Same number is getting generated for the users who are saving the data at one time which should not happen.

Aug 6, 2012I have been requested to create a tabular form, but end user should have ability to hide/show columns, also they should rename the column headers. So I have created a table with column name called "attribute1", attribute2", etc. Based on that table, create a tabular form, which has column header as "attrbute1", "attrbute2", etc.
Now end user wants to rename attrbute1 as he wants. And he/she also wants to have a link called "hide/show" next to the column header, so end user can control which column they want to hide/show. It is so easy to do that control from developer side, however, shift that function to end user from front end seems very difficult to me

Dec 20, 2012I want to convert my forms6i application into forms9i therefore I initially converted my login and explorer form.
In my login form, I am using NEW_FORM to close my login form and wants to activate my explorer form but every time a pop-up raised and asked "DO YOU WANT TO CALL THE NEW FORM?", if I pressed YES then pointer moved to explorer form.
This form is working perfectly in 6i and didn't asked anything and moved to successfully to explorer form.

First data data block contains a list item and a text item based on the selection of the list item and the value in the text item i need to retrieve more than one row in another data block whose NUMBER OF RECORDS DISPLAYED property are set to 10.
I have a Button in the first data block. So in the WHEN BUTTON PRESSED trigger i wrote SELECT INTO clause which is raising "exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows".Then i used a cursor in the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger in the first block to fetch row by row and assign it to the items in second block. But i am able to retrieve only one record in the second block.

I have two tables Loan and deduction
Loan(
loan_number number(5)unique not null,
loan_name varchar(15)not null,
loan_type varchar(15)not null,
actual_amount number(10)not null,

Both have loan_number columns as the primary key.
I created two separate forms using loan table and Deduction table.
Also according to requirement, when commiting in the loan form ,if 'loan_purpose' is 'PERSONAL' THEN deduction form SHOULD BE OPENED.
I MANAGED TO DO ALL OF THE ABOVE .
WHAT I WANT IS when deduction form pops up, it should have a matching loan_number as in loan form What shall I do to achieve this???.
