I am customizing a standard form to allow user to copy values. It works fine when I open the form, query a record and hit copy. But if I copy something to the clipboard from the records before I hit copy button, the form behaves differently and throw errors. Can I do something before the copy procedure work to eliminate this error?

Is it possible to have a standard size for canvas or window of the form? like different users are having different screen resolutions and may have different screen sizes which cause forms not to come proper on the user screen. Is there some solution to avoid the user's resolution and should work on some standard measurements?

i want my values in user pass to be in encrypted form .
I have one drop down list box from which i want to do add or copy the values chosen from the list to another text box and then using this copied values ,i will pass them as parameters to run report.This list is getting populated using recordgroup and then what ever user chooses , it will be added to the another text box with space or delimiter.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a mainform through which one can access 3 different application(say a ,b,c)i have made three push buttons by clicking it the main menu of the respeective application is called.The three applcication have different users(user a,user b,userc)and have different database on the same version(db1,db2,db3 on 111g).I am using formservlet and i am calling the main form. configuration.I dont want the user to enter the username and password so i have hardcored it in formsweg.cfg file. my problem is that i login to the main form as 'user a' so i can access the application'a'.but now if i want to access applicatin 'b' how can i can i login as 'user b'?

I have a form in which the fields are calculated fields. So i need to populate the form after calculating the values based on a database columns. For example if i have a table as below
COL A | Col B | Col C | Col D

3 4 5 6
I have 3 fields on my form which i need to populate such that field1 maps to col A. Field2 value is COL B * COL D for that value of COL A. Field 3 value is COLB * COL D for that value of col A.
I tried something like this

as you can see, i want to join both tables (table1 and ov_dates) and take dt from ov_dates table look it up in table1 and thengrap ov_dt and looking up in table1 and copy values of one row to the other.
for example, in ov_dates i have 3/31 dt and 4/7 ov dt. i will look for 3/31 and 4/7 row in table 1 and copy columns values from 4/7 to 3/31you can see that cid for 3/31 stay the same (since i dont want to replace the value) but txt value was replace with value from 4/7
another examplein ov_dates we have 1/31 dt and 2/5. so i go into table1 get 1/31 and 2/5 row and copy values from 2/5 into 1/31/ as you can see the txt column value for 1/31 becametest6 since it was taking from 2/5. the same thing for the rest ofdata
Through sql*plus, how can I copy a user-defined type from other schema to mine?
I've granted the execute object privilege over the user-defined type to my user, so I can use the type.
I know I can manually write and create the type, but I wanna learn (if exist) a statement to copy the user-defined type, something like:

I cann't commit form when new instance form with form status is "NEW".
And then i call:

Form status change to "QUERY"
And then i click button "Import Data" from excel file to Data Block. Now form status change to "CHANGED". But i cannot call "Commit_Form" built-in to insert data to database oracle 10g.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi am developing a application using oracle forms 10g. i can't use the standard template.fmb because my application does not run in ebs. there comes the problem: i want to implement the lov button function like the template does, such as :
1. when the text item get focus, lov button display.
2. when the text item lost focus, lov button disappear.
3. when scrollbar scrolls, the position of lov button adjust accordingly.
4. there is only one lov button in one form and the lov button was created dynamically.
If I open a form has attached libraries in form builder on windows7 it closed and give this message :
