I am trying to connect rman target / from windows

I have recently installed ORACLE 11gr2 rac. After installation i am not able to connect to one node i am getting the below error

The users are getting an error when connecting to the DB. I'm also not able to connect thru sqlplus . I get the message

I have been trying to connect to an remote oracle db from c# .Net . I believe I have the proper code (Cos when the user id and password strings were omitted , it threw an error of invalid user Id and password).
Once this was properly provided , the connection is now throwing "TNS Error : No Listener " error . The same remote DB is perfectly connecting through TOAD and it is from the tnsnames.ora file of the local file that i got the connection string from . Hence , I don't thing its a problems with that as well.

I am trying to connect to a remote database (Oracle) using my Windows terminal and I am successfully able to connect. But when I try to open a SQL File is gives the following error:
SQL > @int1.sql
SP2-0310: unable to open file
I found out that this error occurs when the file name or the path is invalid. But since I am having a remote access I really don't know the location. What can be done to remove this error?

I am using OCI and instant_client (11.2.0.3.0) in my C++ program (on Windows 7) to connect remotely to 11G database. While doing a connection using server name as well as servername:port/service_name as connection strings, I am getting error of ORA-12504 TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA. According to instant client FAQ & white paper at [URL]..., no tnsnames.ora is required for instant client. Then why could I be getting this error? I ensured that only the instant client directory is in Path environment variable. There was a ODBC driver installed on this same host.

I have been trying to do a once off backup of an oracle database. I have followed instructions to do standard backups and when actually running the RMAN backup I got a ORA-19602: cannot backup or copy active file in NOARCHIVELOG mode.
No problem: I read that you need to execute the following commands in RMAN to ensure a clean shutdown/startup of the database to get past this problem: run {shutdown immediate;startup mount, etc } ...problem is - this code shuts down the database and then I cannot restart it using startup mount as it starts with this TNS listener errors. So I have restart through services but then I get the NOARCHIVELOG error cropping up again.
I'm getting quite frustrated with this. I don't need an archive/redo log - I just need the current state (snapshot) of the database with all the datafiles / procedures/functions in it...a once off - but I can't seem to get this working.

Performing backups on the physical standby via RMAN. We need to restore our test database, and right now it is equivalent to the production. The DUPLICATE command seemed the best bet. We have controlfile and SPFile both on Auto-backup, and the RMAN on a six day retention with weekly 0 level backups and nightly level 1 cumulative backups.
However, when I run the DUPLICATE it chokes being unable to find a current controlfile nor one in backup, even though we have six days worth of supposedly good (validated) backups. We are not using a catalog, rather the DB controlfile.
The solution to this error is reopen the database and try again. however, the physical standby cannot be opened. It is the standby. What if we move the last backup to the primary database, "register" it there, and try this DUPLICATE?
I have seen nothing on this in my searches, and the Oracle documentation does not address this, though it recommends backup from the Physical Standby.
RMAN-05513 is the error code.

I have troubles when restore FULL BACKUP from server A to Server B . when i Backup Full from server A ,i copy that Backup files to Server B (aa new server),i restore spfile và control file from BK files,then i mount (alter database mount ) to restore database , it show error message ORA-01103:
database name 'ORCL' in control file is not 'DUMMY' ,
I tried to shutdown immediate and then startup mount again , but it show other error message
RMAN-04014: startup failed: ORA-00845: MEMORY_TARGET not supported on this system.

I read the error description. In my case there is only one full backup at a time running, hence it does not make any sense.

I receive errors when trying to backup my database (version 9.2.0.2.0) to an NFS device.
I mounted the NFS device in the HP-UX 11.11 server with the folowing comand :
CODEmount -F nfs -o hard,rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,suid,proto=tcp ip_adress:/nfs/RMAN_BACKUPS /rman_backups
the device is succefully mounted.
drwxrwxrwx 2 99 100 17 Nov 25 16:17 rman_backups
When i begin a backup with rman i receive the folwing error :

One of database, while taking backup using RMAN, it failed with the following error:
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on DISK4 channel at 11/28/2012 09:47:29
ORA-19566: exceeded limit of 0 corrupt blocks for file <faile_name>
I used DBV to identify the number of blocks corrupted.
I referred the Metalink iD 457422.1 & 336133.1. But it did not work since the corrupted blocks have got object in it.
I could able to find the object as well. it is one of the table in the datafile.
I used 'ALTER TABLE ... MOVE..' command to see if that works. But again getting the same error while taking the backup and corrupted blocks still exists.
DB Version : 10.2.0.5
OS Version : RHEL 5.6

We are using Oracle 10g R2 in Windows Server 2003. I'm trying to restore a database in a new server, using RMAN backups.
Our external consultant configured RMAN scripts for full and incremental backups but never tested them . Since he just doesn't show up, I'm forced to tested them, restoring the whole database in a new server.
My instance is named MTDPROD, and I will create all from scratch.
At current server, RMAN files are generated in:
//192.168.1.149/g$/XXXSRV4-ArcLogs/MTDPROD/RMAN
At new server, I run all these commands:
C:>oradim -new -sid MTDPROD -intpwd mtdprod
Instance created
-- I created the relevant folder hierarchy under <ORACLE_BASE>
directory
-- Then, I created the relevant directories for Oracle Database, as
follows:
--a. Create BDUMP, CDUMP, and UDUMP directories under '<ORACLE_ BASE>

By instance, I see a lot of this kind of files:
- FULL_MTDPROD_20110529_386_1.BAK
- INCR_MTDPROD_20110621_480_7.BAK
And only see these two files:
- C-2169285856-20110527-03
- C-2169285856-20110527-04
It seems that this C-2169285856-.... files only were on 27/05/2011 and then no more. However, the FULL_... and INCR_.. files are generated every day. The FULL is generated at the end of each month and INCR is generated every day.
This is the backfull.sql:

I have created database with 11.2.0.3 in RHEL 5. I have catalog database(RMAN) with version 10.2.0.1 and 5 databases with different versions(10.2.0.1,10.2.0.3,10.2.0.5) registered with this catalog databases.
Now I want to register the 11.2.0.3 database with catalog (RMAN) database.
Am getting error while I register :
