I have created TABS using jquery tabs library 1.8 and works right now the problem i want to add multiple-select autocomplete item but this only comes with jquery 1.9.2 and UI 1.10.1 so if i add this reference to the page header the multiple autocomplete works but the entire tab-set is broken due to conflicting versions of jquery libraries.... apex 4.1.

4.) When I close Page2 I do not see those changes, because it needs to be refreshed or reloaded. So, I would like to be able to--from any page--reference this page and refresh it. I come from an object oriented language background.
In my app, I am using theme 25 for desktop and theme 50 for jquery smartphone (iPhone in my testing). I am using APEX 4.2.2.00.11. I thought that I could copy a few of the pages using theme 25 and as part of the copy process select theme 50 to create a page suitable for a smartphone.
I tried this for a few pages. The problem is when I attempt to bring up the new pages that are using theme 50 on the iphone, they just show a spinning circle. I've tried with a page that uses a calendar region, another that uses a report region (not IR), and one that uses a form region.
i recently installed an apex plugin but after deinstalling the plugin some of the functionality was still there.I suspected the plugin uploaded a js library and a css file.I found the functions apex_javascript.add_library and apex_css.add in the plugin.Where does apex save the files that are uploaded using those functions?I want do remove then.

The environment has been updated to 4.2 recently, and since that happened pages that I had setup to use the content grid, to show content in 3 columns no longer works, there only appears to be 1 column now.

This all works fine, besides the face that it only works after refreshing the page! The page gets loaded via js: $.mobile.changePage('f?p='+ $v('pFlowId') +':20:' + $v('pInstance') { transition:"slide", reloadPage:true });...
which also works fine so far. That same problem I had before when I was using a dialog instead of the popup. - only showing after refreshing the page.
This certainly must have something to do with how JQM loads and renders the page (besides the APEX-job) - a rather basic issue. I have also tried different ways of calling the page, with no difference to that problem.
My scenario:
We have OSB 10.44 installed on 64 Bit Red Hat OS. Is working pretty fine with a Virtual Library that is configured in an Storage Box. Now we have acquired a Physical Storage and we want to duplicate the backups already taken by the Virtual Library into the new Physical Library.
We have 20 drives for the VTL and for the physical we are planning to have the same to duplicate all backups from VTL. That is being done in case Emergency Failures, so we can restore from Physical Library in case the VTL fails.
The question is: Is there any documentation on how to do duplicate backups.?
The duplicate backups copy wont be done in real time. They will be done after the backup is finished in the VTL and then will start the copy in the physical library.
In my database server i am not able to login to the database via sqlplus and exp/imp also having error as below. But i am having permission to the this executable. I am falling under other user catagary

I am getting below error while retrieve the data from client 9.2.0.8.0 installed in SunOS. The job is scheduled fetch lacks of record from the client. In mid of job running getting this error.
Unfortunately still our business using 9i version since our code is supporting only for 9i version.

Configured listener.ora & tnsnames.ora files on 11g (path) with 10g details also in same file, checked the listener status, its �READY� & windows services also started but now only I am able to connect Oracle 11g & not able to connect Oracle 10g.
how to configure so that I can able to connect both VERSIONS separately on the same server.

The new database is already up and running, our next step now is the following:
1. Create Tablespaces (done)
2. Export the Database from P5
3. Import the dump to P7.
We have this following options:
I. Use a Windows XP workstation 32bit with Oracle 10.2.0.1 Database software to export from P5, then import the dump to P7. (Export/Import Utility 10.2.0.1 Windows 32bit)
II. Use the Export Utility of the P7 (10.2.0.5 AIX 64bit) to do the export and import.
III. Use the Export Utility of P5 (10.2.0.1 AIX 64bit) then use the Import Utility of P7 (10.2.0.5 AIX 64bit)
BTW, our colleague tried to do the following:
A. Use Windows - Export Utility 10.1.0.2.0 - 32bit to make a dump of our database (Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 AIX 64bit)
B. Use Windows - Import Utility 10.1.0.2.0 - 32bit to import the dump file from step A to our new database (Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 AIX 64bit)
But after issuing imp system/password@NEWDB file=(a.dmp, b.dmp... c.dmp) full=y ignore=y statistics=none
The import seems to hang here...importing SYSTEM's objects into SYSTEM
is there a oratab file in window versions of oracle 11g xe?I found out that, oratab is:
associate with ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME value, and you can input parameter like:
orcl:/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1:Y
to allow the datebase to be started when the server reboot.I am thinking for window versions, they are using 'SERVICES' right? That's why no oratab files?

We have integrated Oracle Access Manager 11gR1 with Oracle Apex 4.1. The OAM-Apex integration is working fine. Now we want an additional header variable to be passed from OAM to the Apex application. This new header variable will be user's sAMAccountName in Active Directory. OAM is integrated with AD and the AD users are successfully able to access the Apex applications.
The three header variables which are configure in OAM right now are:
Header variable name Value
1. OAM_REMOTE_USER $user.userid
2. OAM_REMOTE_USER_EMAIL $user.attr.mail
3. OAM_REMOTE_USER_GROUPS $user.groups
We need an additional header variable as mentioned below:
Header variable name: OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME
Value: $user.attr.samaccountname
The new header variable was added in the OHS server's dads.conf file like shown below:

The textbox shows the correct value if HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER is passed to the get_cgi_env method but does not shows anything when HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME is passed to the same method. if I am missing some configuration to pass the HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME haeder variable from OAM to Apex.
I have multiple application set-up using session sharing within the workspace.Technically all works fine, however it does not play nice with user behaviour.
Example:
Users logs into APP_ID:100. Since he isn't authenticated yet, he provides user/pass and the APP_SESSION is authenticated.
Now if the user switches using to another application (using a link provided in application 100) he gets redirect to APP_ID:101:APP_SESSION all is fine.
The session is already authenticated, the application shares the session and the user gains access to app 101 without having to authenticate again. All's fine!
However users don't behave they way. Instead of using an easy link in the application. They will use their own bookmark or type in the url for app 101 manually. That way the next application is either called with f?p=101:1:[SOME OLD SESSIONID FROM BOOMARK] or f?p=101 (with no further page or session info) In both cases instead of using the already authenticated session apex spawns a new session, which of course isn't authenticated yet thus forcing the user to authenticate and come complaining they have to login again.
Similar behaviour problems exists when the user opens a browser and tries to open both applications in each in a tab next to each other.Both tabs fetch there own initial session id and start writing it to the same cookie each in turn invalidating the other tab's session.These can lead to some fanatic ping pong actions. Thus it's impossible to open 2 applications sharing session in the same browser.
Is there any remedy for these situations?Can apex be as smart as for instance first trying to resume the session stored in the cookie and only if that session is invalid, start a new session?

When I was looking through various threads and guides, I've encountered checkbox corresponding array names like "g_f01" - "g_f50". And so far i saw that these names are derived from item name in generated HTML code, for example:

And this one stands for array name "g_*f10*".However, when I tried to do the same thing - i receive item name which looks like "*p_v04*", and therefore, I can't figure out, which array name should I choose to adress it properly.

ErrorERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept. I found some threads related to this but in different way not exactly when I am getting this error.
After 2 or 3 times, this error will not come and I can able to logging into workspace What is the cause for this issue??
Each time when I import an application into my workspace in local 10g XE using the APEX 4.2 Application Builder, I get the "ORA-02291, constraint wwv_flows_fk violated..". The application I whant to import was originally exported from [URL]. I found out, that it has to to with wwv_flow_application_install.get_workspace_id in the installation script, which obviously returns NULL and not my current workspace id as I suppose it should. I replaced wwv_flow_application_install.get_workspace_id by '<my worskspace id>' and then the import does work.

By Doubt is, 'build_status=Run only' alone,cannot protect our application from client developers to edit our application,
Because though we install our application as 'Run Only' at the time of installation in client instance,we can still import the original application and change the type to 'Build and Run Application',and run the new application as 'Build and Run'.(which is not supposed to) we want to make sure,if there is any way we can protect our application from modifications after client side installation.
