Application Express :: Trigger To Update Team State Which Have Same Match ID Of Another Team

I have a table which contain match ID , team and the state of the team Each match ID can contain only two teams and I did trigger for that, what I want to do is when the user update the table and add the state after the match is played,, the other team state is changed to the opposite ,, except for the draw which both of them should have the same state..For example when team 1 state is set to win, team 2 which have same team 1 ID, should be updated to lose....
I want to create a trigger to do that,,I tried to do a trigger but not working

I have installed same days ago the 10.6 toad's Release.I want to put my sql code (packages, views, etc) under team conding in tfs2010.
I have set the tfs2010 voice in Toad: View - Toad Option - Source Control menu'.Then , in team coding toolbar, I clicked "Log On to VCS Provider" and set the right options.
In "View Coding Status" I have all the options set ok (with the green V).I go to the "Open/Launch Version Control Browser", go to my packages and if I try to "Get Latest Version" or double click on my procedures, I get the following error:
"Unable to get revision from VCS repository. Error downloading XXXX" (where XXX is the packages' name)
"Error: VCS archive is empty"

I've got an interactive report with detail and icon view enabled. How do I get the current display state (user looks at report, detail or icon view) out of the apex dictionary ?Is there any place in APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR_... where I can find it ? I'm on APEX 4.0.2. Upgrade to APEX 4.2.2 is planned this fall.

I need to filter a SQL statement with an application item value retrieved from session state. I am assuming I could do this using a Dynamic Action on a Page Load event but I'm not sure where to go from here. How could I append the filter to an existing report page SQL statement?

Using apex 4.2. I have created form item on page and item attribute DISABLES IN SETTINGS , set value as YES and SESSION STATE value as YES.
SETTINGS->DISABLES-> SESSION STATE
by doing this i am getting the error. Error is
Session state protection violation: This may be caused by manual alteration of protected page item P98_CHECK_AMOUNT. If you are unsure what caused this error, please contact the application administrator for assistance.

I have a calendar region using SkillBuilders plug-in. When click on an event, a modal page opens showing the event details and allowing the user to modify it. Recently, I enabled Session State Protection in my pages, so I changed my query in the calendar region to use the APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL function when generating the URL to edit the event. Now, when I click on an event, the URL looks like: [URL]....
p=34925:3:102130990572822::::P3_ID:41&cs=3DE8BFFE2FCA925B7716361D6ECFC546B If you notice the URL has & before the check-sum (cs), instead of just & and it is causing an error on my page. The reason is that the plug-in is escaping special characters. If I change the source of the plug-in to use this:

When I try to update a date column with this:

Oracle returns this error:

where line 4 is REQ_EVENT_DATE = TO_CHAR(REQ_EVENT_DATE - INTERVAL '1' HOUR, 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi').The REQ_EVENT_DATE field was originally populated with this stripped down query:
$date = '2007-12-25 08:35'; INSERT INTO (REQ_EVENT_DATE) VALUES (to_date('$date', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi'));
So - what is wrong with the UPDATE query?

We have several prod instances and many applications on each of these... and interactive reports saved by many users.Each prod application have its own ID, distinct from the dev application ID.
Until today I used the apex_application_install inside the first wokspace only, and it works fine, but I need to update applications on every instances. It seems the only way to keep a saved report during an update is to use the same application Id (use the app n°200 to overwrite the n°200).So it means the only available method is : release the dev app on the dev workspace ; export 50 apps from it and import those 50 times, maybe more in the future.

I am using the following code in Java Script function

I am then calling the function from one of the page item under HTML Form Element Attributes by using the following
onblur="notNull(this);"
But it doesn't seem to work. I am using APEX 4.2.3

I have two SQL reports on the same page.
Those SQL reports are built with apex_items. Afterwards I'm updating them with a manual process (apex_application.g_fxx for ..loop). I'm using different IDs on both reports for the apex_items.
It's working fine for the first report displayed. But not for the second one. If I swap the two reports, it's always the first that will be updated.
Does it mean that we cannot use the apex_application to update more than one report and that I have to use a page per report?
I'm using APEX 4.0.0.00.46

I have a base table (Table A) block with multiple records displayed. I need to track audits to this underlying table in the following way:
If user updates a field in the block I want the pre-changed record's audit fields to be set and I need to create a copy of the record with the changed values. Basically any changes will result in the record being logically deleted, and a copy record created with the newly changed values.
Tried to implement in the block's pre-update trigger which will call a package to directly update Table A then Insert into Table A, then requery the block. Is there a clean and efficient way to do this?

We are using APEX 4.2, 10GR2, RedHat5.
I have a report that comes from SQL Query (updateable report). I'm using the apex_item.text and apex_item.hidden on fields. I'm using a button to submit and after submit process to add some logic that I need.
There could be 1 - 10 records in the report. There is only 1 field that is needed to enter a value, but the value of this field determines the value of another field. I think that I can do this with a submit button and an after submit process where I loop through all the records. I think I have this handled.
This is the question
When the value of that field is changed then the value of another field in the same row changes immediately. All the examples I've seen so far are for a single record and that doesn't work for us.
I guess this is a MRU process but I haven't seen an example where a dynamic action is possible on a Multi Row Update.

As all of you know, In the Apex, when you create a form with report in the page, you are able to insert and edit data. But when you edit the data, the data will be modified in the same row. In other word, you loose the old data.
What I need to do is: I have revised_num field and production_date field. I want to create a form with report and insert and edit data as is in the apex and insert 0 to the revised num until production date is null. But when production date is not null, then from that point, I want to insert data to another row and modify revised num to 1. and I want the revised num be incremented by 1 each time the user modifies the data after the production date is not null.I don't know where I should start.

Is there some simple solution how to send email to user with link ('I don't want to receive emails from you in the future') ?
The link should contain some key information for each user.
If user click the link - update of the table should be done. (some IDC updates from 'Y' to 'N').

I have a procedure I need to feed a number into in order to generate some thumbnails.
I'm trying to automatically update the value every time a new row is inserted but I'm having trouble with the code.
DECLARE

end;I get the error +'ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error'+
If I run the query SELECT MAX(IMAGE_ID) FROM IMAGES, it returns the last row ID I created just as it should. The create_blob_thumbnail(varInt) procedure works fine if I manually put in a number.

I followed the directions to print a report using this documentation [URL]....where I setup a report query and a report layout and then add the url to a button that when clicked opens up the report in my chosen format. This all work very nicely. However, I need to update the table behind each record that gets printed and I cannot figure out how to couple the print request and an update process in APEX.

*Cause: A trigger (or a user defined plsql function that is referenced in this statement) attempted to look at (or modify) a table that was in the middle of being modified by the statement which fired it.
*Action: Rewrite the trigger (or function) so it does not read that table.

Getting starting with diving deeper into APEX and reading the developers guide all 800 pages of it! Thing is I'd like to get started with some of the more interesting stuff.
I have created a form page based on the "Form on a Table with Report". The report part looks fine. What I'd like to do now is use an API I've built to change how the insert and update works. So when the submit button is pressed it rather performs an API call to the procedure/function.
1. Should the API be a function or procedure. In my playing around I saw that a procedure might work better or easier to implement
2. How would I go about creating a call for the button to use instead of the current processes?

Let's say that we have an order entry app and the price and quantity items are already populated. We now want to show the user the extended price (the product of the first two items). the extended price would automatically display after both the quantity and price items are entered. I'm assuming that would require some kind of client-side processing. I imagine server-side processing is simpler, so I'll lean in that direction. I'm sure we've all seen web sites that require you to click a button for the order totals to be updated. I'm okay with that approach, but I haven't quite put all of the pieces together. Here's what I came up with.
A region button was added to trigger the updating of the extended price. The button's "Action When Button Clicked" is to submit the page. Under "Page Processing", a process was created to do the calculation with the recipient of the product being a page item. From debug code in the procedure, I can see that the item containing the extended price was, indeed, modified. But the new value doesn't display in the field and the Session window shows that the value of the item didn't change.
I must be missing something. The debug code says the item value was updated. The Session window says it wasn't updated. What gives? What did I do wrong and what needs to be done to correct this?

I have created a simple page with a tabular form built on a view. The view is on top of a collection that is created when the page is ran. I added a tabular form column validation. I then was going to add a pl/sql process to handle the updates into the db, but before I did that I wanted to delete the ApplyMRU that was created when I first created the tabular form because it does not make sense on my view. When I went to delete the MRU it gave me an error saying "Multi Row Update processes can't be deleted as long as there are validations defined for the tabular form".
I have searched for an answer on this, but so far I have not found much. I am hoping it is something simple that I am missing. I even tried deleting the MRU first and then add the validation, but then it gave me another error about "Tabular form validations require multi-row update processes" I know this was possible in 4.1, but now I am trying it on 4.2

I've started using Apex 4.2(new to Apex). I have built a form based on a table with a date column on it. The form allows update on all fields/columns of the base table. For the date field/column, the goal is to present the user with sysdate on load and update the date with sysdate if the record is changed any of the fields. How can I accomplish this?

I have created a form. Some of the elements are hidden such as updated_by and update_date. I have provided the default values for these attributes as pl/sql expression in the "default section" (Application->page->edit page item). I am using the Process Row process that is automatically created when a form is created.
The problem is when I click the update button, the updated_by and update_date is passed as null values which throws an error from the database.
