For example schema1 has role1; rol1 has rol2; rol2 has rol3 and some system privileges and object privileges. How can I generate this script from sourcedb?

I'm trying to generate a statistic, that shows me a weekly or monthly report over the traffic on a tablespace or a schema. Until now, I've worked with the
HIST_VIEW dba_hist_tbspc_space_usage
(I mean there is also one nearly called so for schema), but that view show me only the grow of a tablespace in a timeline of 1 week.
But that would not be the hole traffic. Because SELECT statements will nothing do on the grow of the tablespace but it generates traffic. In that case it wouldn't be so important, if it is more tablespace or schema sided because at this database each tablespace has it's own schema and timeline would be nice if it is weekly or monthly.
I want to import a schema from one database schema to another schema b from db STBTST to STATST and from schema CMSSTAGINGB to CMSSTAGINGA
I first want to test this to my own schema (mvanmannekes) CMSSTAGINGA is filled at the moment.
So i've created a dump from STBTST-CMSTAGINGB For importing im using this statement:
impdp mvanmannekes/password schemas=cmsstagingb remap_tablespace=cmsliveb_data:cmslivea_data
remap_tablespace=cmsliveb_index:cmslivea_index
remap_schema=cmsstagingb:mvanmannekes directory=expdp_dir dumpfile=cmstagingb.dmp
I'm getting this:
Connected to: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options
Master table "MVANMANNEKES"."SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_01" successfully loaded/unloaded

I have written make files that compile .pc files in unix. This was for several projects that use an oralib source code directory.Just running proc on one target .pc file works fine on unix. I am trying to use proc - Oracle 10.2.0 - in windows and I keep getting:
Quote:unable to open include file
#include <stdio.h>
and other C library headers.
I am doing all development under cygwin, this way I can write a makefile just like under unix instead of using nmake.All C library headers are in /usr/include When I run proc on Solaris as that:
proc program.pc
No problems, and I do get program.c.
However in windows I get the previous error message. I have tried to do proc include=/user/include program.pc and proc include=/user/include parse=full program.pc but I still get the same error message.
How can I know if database files are on file system or raw files?

View 8 Replies View RelatedA single master schema where many developers are accessing. all share same password.
now i would like to trace all the changes made by each users. so i create a individual users for all and grant permission to access that schema.do i have a possibility of auditing the changes did by each user for that particular schema
We have an application with many separate databases (one per customer). Given they share the same business requirements (service hours, change mgmt etc), we're interested in potentially consolidating the separate DBs (which are relatively small) into separate schemas within a fewer no of databases to reduce the overhead.
Our issue is that the application is hard-coded to use a specific administrator and application connection user name. Changing this is unfortunately not an option.
Given this limitation, is there any possibility to map a generic user into a customer-specific schema based on the database service that they connect to? Each customer connects to different database services but may use the same user name. We considered using private synonyms but this seems to acheive the opposite (i.e. many different users could connect and map to a single users schema). One thing to point out is that where there is a single user name, it is acceptable for a single password to be used across the different customer DBs as they will be a single admin/user.
I would like to create a table in another schema(CBF) as already exist in my schema(TLC) without data but related indexes,synonyms and grants should be include.
How could I do this without using export import. I am using TOAD 9.0.1.
how to take all schema metadata export except one schema (scott)
can i use like EXCLUDE=schema:"IN('SCOTT')
I had done following steps,
schemas(toy,toys)
1) i open the session of toy schema
First i taken backup of table
create table bck20121103_himan as select * from himan;
Backup table is created.
After taking the Backup table
delete himan;(deleting the records)
2) i log in to another session(toys)
exp toys/toys@orcl file=20121103TOYs.DMP TABLES=(HIMAN) /* Particular table is taken*/
3) i log in to toy schema
imp toy/toy@orcl file=<dump file name> TABLES=(HIMAN) INDEXES=N IGNORE=Y
i tried the above statement it taken so much of time..
Later i tried
I log in to toy session
i rename the table with other name.
later i imported
imp toy/toy@orcl file=<dump file name> TABLES=(HIMAN) IGNORE=Y FULL=Y
it's successfully imported.
move the tables with data present in the user scott(full) to another schema named test. In my case scott is in user tablespace and for test schema i have created different tablespace named test_tbs.

Below is the procedure I created to generate csv file from oracle procedure.
PROCEDURE proc_csv(p_path varchar2 , p_separator varchar2 default ',')
AS
CURSOR c_data
IS
select * FROM product ;
v_file UTL_FILE.file_type;
BEGIN
[code]...
I have two doubts about this procedures
1) In one schema this procedure is generating empty csv file with zero bytes, while in other schem It's working fine, It's showing data. I am unable to make what's the difference.
2) The csv file is not displaying column headings. I want column headings to be displayed on csv file.
Im generating some xml from a table which works fine. Here is an example of what I'm doing.

create table "VTEST"(
"PROJECT_NUMBER" VARCHAR2(50 BYTE),
"ORDER_NUMBER" VARCHAR2(50 BYTE),
"PART_NUMBER" VARCHAR2(50 BYTE),

so each section would list its unique values.

uiC-4
then column
a3 Code3

I Have got a requirement where we have to generate an xml conforming to a particular XSD.
What i will be having already in place is an XSD document.
We are thinking of making a procedure which will be recieving the set of inputs required for creating that xml.(Data content of that XML.)We would have to make the XML according to that XSD.
Everytime Parsing the XSD is not feasible.We are looking at a solution which would be easy to make the xml from xsd at runtime.These values (DATA) will be available at run time.
I am in urgent need of Generating Random numbers for one of the application .The number once generated is getting stored in table

the result is Hours.Minutes.
I am trying to minus the two dates and find the time taken for a particular section( eg, unalloc ).
I tried using three union queries .
Select block,timestamp From (
Select 'Unalloc' As Block ,col1,col4 From table_1
Where col2 = 'Batch Started' And col3 = 'proc_unalloc' And
Parms Like '1345'
Union
Select 'Unalloc' As Block ,col1,col4 From table_1
Where col2 = 'Unalloc Ended' And col3 = 'proc_unalloc' And

I will minus the start and end time for unalloc to get time taken for un alloc. Then i will minus end time of unalloc and end time for alloc to get time taken for alloc... like wise for metric.

We are using dbms_crypto.hash to generate the MD5 hash value for a CLOB that will be sent to other feeder systems. The feeder systems validate the file by generating the MD5 hash value on their end and compare with the MD5 generated in Oracle and accept the file only if the MD5 hash value matches.
The MD5 file matches between both the systems except in the case where there are special characters in the CLOB. Somehow, MD5 is prefixing  character before any special character and calculating the MD5 value. In our case, our special characters being ®, §, ™, ©....
This is a high priority issue for us and it is holding our UAT. We are using Oracle 11.2.0.2.0.
