i have successfully installed Oracle 10g in Windows 7 ultimate but there is one problem after installation of Oracle 10g an Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g have opened immediately after installation.

connect as: SYSDBA
iam getting this error message

& then when i click on "Administration" again the login page is opening.i have tried installing Oracle 10g 4 times this is 5th time .

Is there an easy way to fix this domain name in the Oracle installation after the fact? I know about tnsnames.ora, pfile, system parameters, and I'm pretty sure I can do emagent -config. My concern is that the "Installed Products" would not like the fact that the domain name is now "abc.proj.org" when installation was done on "abcproj.org". The /etc/hosts file had "abcproj.org", and we want to fix it to "abc.proj.org".
I need to reinstall Oracle -- is there a better way?

I am trying to install Oracle 11g Release 2 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.2 (vmware image) but after 50% installation it through errors while copying files on the server. I also tried on Windows 2003 Server R2 (physical m/c as well as vmware image) and faced same problems. I did installation of Oracle 11g Release 1 and didn't find any problems.

I installed ORACLE (software only) and applied patch set 6 and tried to create a new database.
during the database creation I got an error as the system was adding the JVM that read:-
ORA-01927:cannot REVOKE privileges you did not grant.
I was given the options to ignore or abort
I chose to ignore the error and continue.
After the database creation completed I looked in the jserver log copied below and found two errors
I did not get the same error before installing patch set 6

I am having a problem getting to run an Oracle file watcher job successfully. The file watcher starts on schedule and I can see the entries in the DBA_ SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS table. However, I see a status of FAILED with an error 1024. Under additional information I get the following 2 Oracle errors:
ORA-01024: invalid datatype in OCI call
ORA-21560: argument 7 is null, invalid, or out of range
The job is trying to start a stored procedure with one input parameter and signature: PROCEDURE SP_HFU_NTS_FILE_WATCHER_ACTION (p_sfwr SYS.SCHEDULER_FILEWATCHER_RESULT).
We have a scheduler chain that calls 2 scheduler programs.The chains are controlled by a scheduler job that has job_type as CHAIN.My challenge is how to add email notifications on the failure or success of the programs.
I know about this procedure DBMS_SCHEDULER.ADD_JOB_EMAIL_NOTIFICATION, but this is only applicable to jobs and not programs(i believe). Is there an alternative way to trigger off emails for scheduler programs ?
I keep getting PLS-00306 error message.
I am also getting an error that the statement was ignored.

I've set up a query that creates 2 columns 'UVLCredit' and 'UVLDebit' and what I'm trying to do is subtract the 'UVLDebit' column from the 'UVLCredit' column and have the resulting value show up in a column called 'UVLTotal.
I'm multiplying 1 column times another to create a new column called UVLCredit, and then doing it again (with a different column) to create a 2nd new column called UVLDebit...the last thing I'm trying to do is to take the results of the 1st new column and subtract the results of the 2nd newly created column to create a 3rd new column called UVLTotal. The error states that the 'UVLDebit' column is an invalid identifier.
