While Running a Report through form i am getting this below error.
REP-0118 Unable to create a temporary file
But while running the same report in a windows 98 or windowsXp PC i dont get this error.
I have a Report which run in character mode format, well i cannot convert or Generate to File as a XML File.
XML Conversion Error:
REP-1401: 'cf_1formula': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred. ORA-01403: no data found
PDF Conversion Error:
REP-1920: Character mode runtime incompatible with DESFORMAT of PDF, HTML, HTMLCSS, or RTF
But, when i change Character Mode to Bitmap or Default i can able to Generate to File.
So i Like to know is it possible to Generate to File in Character Mode?

The code works great for few reports and for few reports it gives an error saying Unable to run the reports in 10g, When i checked the job status it says Terminated with error: <br>REP-163: Invalid value for keyword DESTYPE. Valid options are FILE, PRINTER, MAIL, INTEROFFICE, or CACHE.
I have kept the DESTYPE as CACHE. It is failing at Run_Report_Object(ReportId, Pl_Id)
I have installed Windows7 64bit on my laptop and then installed Reports10G. I am not able to connect to DB from Reports10g, Its gives below error -
REP-0501: Unable to connect to the specified database
ORA-02248: Invalid Option for ALTER SESSION
Same Reports10g is able to connect to DB on Windows XP machine. Database version is 11g which is remote.
I have been trying out the new 12c on Windows 2012 Essentials with the same type of errors. The OraDim step fails and cannot create the services. It fails a bit differently if I choose "Create New Windows User", choose a "Use Existing Windows User", or choose the Windows Built-in user.

I am modifying an existing report. It's just a tabular format with column headers. I selected all fields and frames and turned confine mode and flex mode OFF. I need to add another column to this report so I tried to resize and then move some of the fields.
If I try to move the right side of a colum header/field in, to make it smaller, it won't let me. I can move the left side of the field in, but then it won't let me move the entire field or column header to the left. If I try to move a field over to the right, all the fields to the right side move along with it. Doesn't this normally only happen when flex or confine mode are ON?

I am receive the REP-50127 error, cannot write to file when trying to save a report to a file on the network via report parameters.
I am guessing the rwserver does not have permissions to the network drive.
Will the SERVER_IN_PROCESS=NO run the rwserver process as the user executing the report?
The below Oracle Forms code works fine for Excel 2003/Windows XP/IE6 but doesn't work for Excel 2007/Windows 7/IE8.

There is no error while executing the form, by debugging we found that the control skips all the above code.
I'm using Oracle forms 10.1.2.3 and jre 1.6.0_16.
While i'm installing the oracle reports.I got the dialog box saying to stop ALL the ORACLE SERVICES...
---I have stoped all the services which are relates to oracel.(services.msc)

I have installed oracle 10g on windows xp inside vmware player , i have installed d2k 6i also on same machine , evrything is working fine except reports builder 10g , it crashes everytime after few minutes whenver i try to work on it .Is there any solution to prevent reports builder from crashing . I am not able to delete one month old archive log file manually on windows which doesn't having info about the standby on v$archived_log view of primary database. the sequence were already applied to the standby database. It shows the status as deleted in v$archived_log. while deleting the file manually. it showing an error like another program or person is using it.
In my database smon tracefile was huge,now we want to delete the same,I also tried with ordebug operation but no use, delete tracfile which Smon generates.
