Apr 2, 2012I want to use SSIS,when i use oracle 10g as a data source to SQL Server 2008 as Destination, it gives error ora-01017 invalid username/password logon denied, i did normal oracle installation and give full privileges(sysdba or sysoper) to the user(sys,system...),when i check connection it shows test connection succeeded but when click on next it gives above error.

Mar 13, 2009I'd like to implement a treeview control with checkboxes in every node using Microsoft TreeView Control 6.0 in Forms 6i. I already did the following steps:
1. Download and register OCX (regsvr32 C:windowssystem32comctl32.ocx)
2. Draw OCX control on form.
3. Right click on OCX control and Insert Object "Microsoft TreeView Control 6.0"
4. Import OLE Library Interfaces "MSComctlLib.TreeCtrl.2"
5. Set Data Block Single Record to YES
6. Set OLE Class of Listview control to "MSComctlLib.TreeCtrl.2"
7. Rename treeview control to "ACX_TREE" and Data Block to "BLK_CONTROLS"
Now I need to populate the treeview adding code to the "WHEN_NEW_FORM_INSTANCE" Trigger, but I don't see how. how to do this and/or a place where I can find a working example?

Access 2007 handles this capability with a field format called Attachment. I don't want to store the attachments locally but want them to be stored in Oracle, but I'm not sure what format the field in Oracle needs to be so that it will come across in Access as an Attachment field.

But i think there might be a possibility that application server/ db server ip might have hard coded in that forms so its may not be pointing to actual app server/db server.

Mar 5, 2013I am trying use host command in Oracle forms. I get the process id as input from the user and on clicking ok the form should kill the session related to process id.
PS: Users will be entering only frmweb.exe process id which are inactive.
cmd := 'CMD /C taskkill /F /FI /pid 'process which is got as input' /IM frmweb.exe'; host(cmd)I also tried by writing the above command into a .bat file in application server.When trying to execute the bat file it din work. But when tryin to run the bat file by double clicking in Application server the session was killed.
On executing the above I am unable to kill the process. I would also like to know whether the host command was successful or not. Orakill and alter session are working but I don want to use it.

Sep 14, 2011"Integration error: SSL failure running another product" with HP Deskjet D2680.We are using 10gR2, Forms6i, and Report6i. The server is Windows 2003 Server, and the OS of the printer is XPIn one of our module, upon calling one report we always encounter Integration error: SSL failure running another product. Sometimes when we do not encounter it, the spooling takes too much time and it takes 6minutes just to print the first page of the report, succeeding pages takes 2-3minutes in interval.
At first we thought that the memory of the PC is the problem, but we tried to connect it to a 2gig RAM Win7 laptop, another laptop with 1gig RAM XP, and a 1g RAM Desktop. We tested 5 computers but the same problem occurs.
The problem is not encountered after we tried other HP Printer(HP 3940, 6988, & D4360). I just want to know the problem with the HP Deskjet D2680.

Apr 24, 2012I have a sale invoice form with 3 data blocks.
Data block 1- master_blk : For date/customer of sale invoice
Data block 2- detail_blk1 (detail of the master block - For products and qty)
Data block 3- detail_blk2 (detail of DETAIL_BLK1 For entering serial numbers of products)
My requirement is that whatever quantity user enter in data block 2 against each product he must enter equal number of serial numbers of that product in data block 3.
For this I have created on item (cnt_iteml : to count product's serial numbers in block3 ) in data block 2, and on summary item (t_serial_no ) in block3.
Whenever user changes in quantity, cnt_iteml: item is populated with t_serial_no in block3 of that product by following trigger on quantity column.
POST-Change Trigger ( quantity column )

Following trigger is written on block level at data block-3 to populate cnt_iteml with t_serial_no.

Above triggers are fulfilling my requirement except following condition.
If user after entering serial numbers in block 3 and without saving goes back to block2 and try to navigate to another record he gets a message asking him to save changes by forms. At this time if user presses no then cnt_itl item is not been populated with t_serial_no item's value.
What I want in above condition is that if user was inserting new record cnt_it item should be populated with 0, so that he shouldn't be able to save this record. And If he was updating then cnt_itl item should be populated with actual no of records in database against that product.
Server Administration :: Unable To Find Server Process In Oracle Database For Specific Application / Client
Feb 13, 2013I am trying to find the unix process for one of my application in the database but I am unable to view the same. To simulate, I did the following.
1. My database runs on different server.
2. I invoked "sqlplus" from another unix box to login to the database.
3. I found that the process id (ps -ef |grep sqlplus).
4. When I execute the below mentioned query it does not display the process id that I am looking for. But the osuser, username, program and machine details are correct. How can I know the process details from the database?

Mar 2, 2011In Process of upgrading Oracle EBS 12.0.4 to 12.1.1 I updated the $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/jdk to jdk 6u24. After replacing the original jdk with jdk 6u24 when I attempted to start the apps adoacorectl.sh failed with below error.

I followed below steps to update the jdk
1. extracted the jdk-6u24-solaris-sparcv9.tar.Z to $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/jdk
2. Copied lib from old jdk to $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/jdk
3. Copied lib from oldjdk/jre to $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/jdk/jre
4. The java was not infact in jdk/bin rather it was /bin/sparcv9 so I copied them to /jdk/bin. The same way copied the executables from /jdk/jre/bin/sparcv9 to /jdk/jre/bin .
