Forms :: How To Export SQL To MS Excel Using CSV Files

Jul 17, 2013

I create this because I need a way to export SQL commands in several forms to Excel without using CSV files. So this routine opens MS-Excel automaticaly and then export the data of the SQL into a sheet within the excel. Is a procedure that can be use in any form and using simple or complex SQLs.

I compressed 3 files in the TXT file. So, first change the extension from TXT to RAR and then unzipped the file.

Forms :: Treeview With Images And Checkboxes With OLE Container?

Jun 4, 2009

I have an issue with an OLE-Container (ITreeView).

I have already a form with the treeview (database no necessary) with some nodes added manually.

All this nodes have checkbox and style properties, drag and drop (drag automatic and drop manual).

I added also to the form an OLE-Container for the listImage and put into the container the images that i need.

I put checked the father and when it is true then a variable into the declaration of the check of the childrens change and the child nodes are checked too, but when i do it manually nothing happened.

What I want to do is the next thing: I want to be able to drag and drop in every place of my tree to change the positition between the nodes of the node father and to change it also with childnodes of other parent. To Put an Image next to each node (how to call the images that are inside of my imagelist) When I checked the parent then check all the child nodes of it.

Application Express :: Possible Bug In Export Of Static Files In V4.1.1.00.23

Jun 8, 2012

We recently updated to version 4.1.1.00.23, and need to do an export of our static files to migrate from our development to test (ApEx run-time) platform. When our DBA attempted to run the export script (we had renamed it from static_file.sql to browser_detect.sql), he received this error:

SQL> @browser_detect.sql
Set Credentials...
Check Compatibility...
Set Application ID...
...static file repository
p_notes=> '');
*

ERROR at line 14:
ORA-06550: line 14, column 5:
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "P_NOTES"

when expecting one of the following:

. ( ) , * % & = - + < / > at in is mod remainder not rem
<an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <= <> and or like LIKE2_
LIKE4_ LIKEC_ between || multiset member SUBMULTISET_
The symbol "(" was substituted for "P_NOTES" to continue.
ORA-06550: line 14, column 18:
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ";" when expecting one of the following:
. ( ) , * % & = - + < / > at in is mod remainder not rem
<an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <= <> and or like LIKE2_
LIKE4_ LIKEC_ between || multiset

We took a look at static_file.sql, and noticed this:

declare
l_name    varchar2(255);
l_html_id number := null;
begin
l_name := 'browser_detect.js';
wwv_flow_html_api.remove_html(
[code].......

The comma is missing after the p_flow_id parameter. This appears to be a bug in the export. It appears to be happening pretty consistently (other static files for this application, other static files for other existing applications).

I did a search of the forum to see if this issue reported this and checked listing on OTN and I don't see any reference to this particular issue. We're hesitant to just add the comma right now since we don't know whether there may be any other issues in the file it's generating.

Is there a way to export the datafiles to another linux box to import in another database or have I pretty much lost everything (we do have an RMAN backup however it is in a remote location and the only person that knows the password to it is unavailable.

Jan 17, 2013

I have 3 dump files: A.dmp, B.dmp, C.dmp . Can I use multiple REMAP_TABLESPACE entries in a par file to remap the table spaces for the above dump file?

Parfile would look something like this:

DIRECTORY=dpump
DUMPFILE=A.dmp,B.dmp,C.dmp
JOB_NAME=import_3_schemas
REMAP_TABLESPACE=A1:D1
REMAP_TABLESPACE=B1:E1
REMAP_TABLESPACE=C1:F1

The first remap entry is only relevant to A.dmp file
The second remap entry is only relevant to B.dmp file
etc.

Export/Import/SQL Loader :: Migrating Data From Solid Database To Oracle - Flat Files

Aug 14, 2012

I am migrating data from a Solid Database to Oracle, I am using Flat Files to do that.

1.- I download the data to flat files from Solid
2.- I move the files to Oracle server
3.- I upload the data to Oracle

Now, I have done the 90% of the data base, but I have found some tables that has description columns and in this description the users writes enters, so when I try to upload the data to Oracle SQL loader cannot recognize this characters.

Oracle 12c - Container And Pluggable DB Config

Oct 19, 2012

We've all heard the news about the new 12c capability to have a container database hosting multiple pluggable database instances.

This obviously will provide significant reduction in overhead on systems (like Exadata) where we'd like to host multiple databases, but can't consolidate them due to conflicts that prevent them running under the same instance (public synonyms / dblinks, schema name collision, etc). Not to mention the effort required to get different application databases to co-exist on the same DB instance ... which in and of itself can be a major project.

My question - does the container database need to have the same character set as the pluggable databases?

If not, this still presents a limitation, as there are numerous vendors of COTS applications that don't (or won't) support ALT32UTF8, which is what we're building all our bespoke applications on.

Application Express :: Button With Pre-element Text Is Given A Container Div?

Aug 8, 2013

Just installed 4.2.2.00.09 and imported a workspace and an application. Worked fine.I noted a page display difference when compared to the exported application (4.1.0.00.32). I have (so far) found this:If I have a button with Pre Element Text set to <div class="dummy"> and Post Element Text set to </div>, Apex generates an extra div around it all.If my button was named P1_SUBMIT I end up with

<div id="P1_SUBMIT_CONTAINER">
<div class="dummy"> <input type="button" value="Search" id="P1_SUBMIT" /></div>
</div>

Is it possible for me to turn this extra div off?

Precompilers, OCI & OCCI :: Make Files That Compile PC Files In Unix

Jul 31, 2008

I have written make files that compile .pc files in unix. This was for several projects that use an oralib source code directory.Just running proc on one target .pc file works fine on unix. I am trying to use proc - Oracle 10.2.0 - in windows and I keep getting:

Quote:unable to open include file
#include <stdio.h>
and other C library headers.

I am doing all development under cygwin, this way I can write a makefile just like under unix instead of using nmake.All C library headers are in /usr/include When I run proc on Solaris as that:

proc program.pc
No problems, and I do get program.c.

However in windows I get the previous error message. I have tried to do proc include=/user/include program.pc and proc include=/user/include parse=full program.pc but I still get the same error message.
