I'd install Oracle8i on Window -XP.I am facing following error for Oracle Intelligent Error while starting my computer.
Oracle Intelligent Agent Executable encountered a problem and needed to close.

I'd already config two db. in my computer & I can access both db.

Daily am getting this mails from grid... for the time of 3 to 4 seconds, am getting upto 15 mails saying the message which i mentioned below... In that time period the OEM is not working properly... After 4 seconds then OEM console is working fine..
Agent is unable to communicate with the OMS. (REASON = Agent is Unreachable (REASON : Agent to OMS Communication is brokenError in request response, code = 400 , text = ).
For one of the server, we are able to start the agent but the status showing is UNKNOWN. So all the targets (50+) in Unknown state.
In the grid its in Blocked agent. We tried to unblock and did the Agent Resynchronization for this. At the end getting below error message as
Thread-9668 ERROR ThreadPool: Could not create thread, ERROR=12:Not enough space
In the emagent.log seeing below error

I met a strange error about EM Agent. When i run the following command by EM console on a Windows Agent:
emcli execute_hostcmd -cmd="hostname" -targets="myhost:host" -credential_set_name="HostCredsPriv"
It comes with the following information
Usage: java [-options] class [args...]
(to execute a class)
or java [-options] -jar jarfile [args...]
(to execute a jar file)
where options include:
-client to select the "client" VM
...
But on Linux Agent,everything is fine.
We have the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5. We recently upgraded our Databases from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and since then we are having this problem.
Whenever i click an Agent on the Grid Control it gives me this error: "Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring/adding targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms)."
I get the same error when i try to configure a host or a database.
Don't know what is wrong
I have a server with Red Hat EL 5.5 running an oracle database 10g R2 and an Oracle Agent 10.2.0.5The disk ran out of space and I realized that there are a lot of files stating with core.xxx such as :

What's that ?Why are those files generated at $AGENT_HOME/<HOST>_<SID>/sysman/log/ ?
There are more than 24 GB of those files
in nmc.log I can see lines such as:

My problem is i install Oracle 9i enterprise edition 9.0.1.1.1 in windows xp professional but at the time of oracle database confiuration assistent it show me following errors it show:
Not a zip file(End header not found)
My problem is that when i sign in on Enterprise Manager page ( URL.... ), i don't see that green up arrow that status is UP (and also those charts), but status: Agent unreachable: URL....
I tried to do what is specified in the Metalink(also here: URL.....), but the problem persists. And that metalink note (317242.1) applies to EM Grid Control (maybe that solution works for EM dbconsole also). So i don't have a Grid Control.I tried to stop dbconsole, then start it and then start upload agent ( emctl upload agent), but i got:

The EM documentation does not work in this situation (and i specify this because sybrand_b has a problem with users who don't read the documentation.. ) However, i read here: URL....

A few weeks ago i changed the password for sysman and dbsnmp because the backups were not running and after i did that, they ran for a few nights. The only other thing is our system admin for the server changed some user access for the C:Oracle folder, but I still have full control.
I am in the ORA_DBA group and i have "Logon as batch job" selected for my account.
I read at one place to go to Preferences - Preferred Credentials and test the host username and password. When i do this i get the message : "Connection to server as user XXXXXXX failed" so I am thinking it has something to do with my user account, but not sure what i need to change.

I cant figure out the problem.. I have also created the Disk Backup Location.
I have installed database 10gr2 on Red Hat linux 5.4 but cannot use enterprise manager. When i launch the page it shows ALL SERVICE are down ( Database , LISTENER) but all these services have been started manually. I have a problem when I install oracle 11g: I did an installation on a win2008 r2 server and everything works fine, I did another installation on another server in the same network as a test, but at the end of the installation I get an alert that says:
start database error control .....
Executing set oracle_unqname and then emctl start dbcontrol.
of course nothing happens.
dbcontrol_nome the service instance will not start. checking the file in your home directory I always acts everything is in place. I reinstalled windows to eliminate all the checks made, repeated installation and here appeared the same problem.
question: can exist 2 oracle installations on the same network with the same name db? I currently have two installations of the same name with oracle db 10

Also tried to set to $ORACLE_HOME/nls/data of oms10g but get Problems to start opmn and later on it report also ORACLE_HOME and NLS Parameter set incorrectly. I checked MetaLink / Internet without success.

i have already give the grant option cnnect,resource to scott but it is not connecting to enter prise manager console of Oracle database 11gR1. i am getting this error while connecting "The application requires more database privileges than you have currently been granted. when i am giving scott the dba rights then it is connecting. but i cann't give dba rights to scott.so, how/what is the specific command to give permission scott for connecting to enter prise manager console.
I am using Oracle 10.2.0.1.0. My intention is to create a new database instance.
Here are the steps I have taken,
1. Using DBCA, I created a new database instance, oracle sid = MYORCL0318
2. I created the tablespaces for this instance.(I obviously have not imported any data into this database yet.)
then, I went to Enterprise Manager,

After I login, I would get an Error like this

I found a thread that reported a similar issue and was directed to Oracle Support Document 353843.1 . The suggestion was to adjust the /etc/hosts file, but I don't see anything wrong in the file:

I have installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP. I created a database called orcl1 using DBCA and set the sys and system user passwords as "oracle". My windows xp operating system password is set as username:Bobby and password :welcome4all.
Yet at the startup/shutdown page in Enterprise Manager, when I enter HOST CREDENTIALS as username:Bobby,password :welcome4all
and credentials for target database as username:sys,password :oracle, I get RemoteOperationException:ERROR: WRONG PASSWORD FOR USER .I don't understand why? Am I doing something wrong?
i am getting error when iam starting enterprise manager GUI dbcosole,its not displaying the graphs of HOST CPU and active session graphs instaed its giving me error such as java.lang error and null point error below the graphs.
i stop and start the dbconsole from services and from command prompt and rebooted the server,but still showing the same error..did open in other kernals such as mozilla and google still the same issue..
