I'm having a really hard time finding a solution to print the column headings on each page after the page break when printing. We're using a tool called PDF Creator to create the PDF's and they're opened in Adobe.The server is GlassFish Server 3.1.2. What other information can I provide?
I'm using 11gr2 DB, APEX 4.2 and connected using pl/sql gateway.
I see several sample APEX app like the checklist manager where the tab screen heading (home/checklist/reports) has 3 icons on the right corner for Administration, Mobile. I want to use the same concept but this app is locked so I cannot see how it was done.
I also see some application where the breadcrumb has an icon for home and not the standard Home text.!
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
I am having report region with different columns, in that one column heading needs to be start with lower case like "iST Status" but always it is showing "IST Status".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 4 reports on the same page. I have added a checkbox column to each one. On clicking I want to populate a collection with the value of the id of the corresponding row and then have a button acting on the whole list.
My code to get the id of the item that contains the value I want is this
id = 'f02_' + $(this.triggeringElement ).attr('id').substr(4,4);
But there is an f02_0001 for each report, and the code just finds the first one, rather than the one in the context of the report being clicked.

All that is ever picked up is 2072
They have different table ids but I don't know how to reference the correct ones in my code.
On a "Form on a table with report" page created with the wizard, I want to add a new report column from the underlying table (this is the multi-row page). If I try to add the column name to the query, Apex tells me:
"You have requested to change the Interactive Report query. If you added columns to the query, they will not be displayed when the report is run. You will need to use the actions menu and either select the columns or click Reset. If you removed any columns from the query, it will disable existing filters, highlight rules, and other report settings referencing those columns. Please confirm your request."
I sure don't want to start over and re-build the page, so where the heck is this "actions menu"?

i have IR report with 15 column with heading.
The end user can accessing from different department, when the user can see the report shown only their particular department rows only. each department have different column value and Header label .how can display the column header depend on the department user.
e.g. IR report view

2 low sales from East region(from Sales Department)
IN the IR report Table data structure.Heading_code value as LOV in IR form(1.Subject/2.Customer Message/ect...) and Column_value as Text Field.

Apex have limitation of one IR report in one page. so i could not create different Report region even i don’t want create another page due to the further functionality issue.
I have created tabular form. I have set LOV for one column. Here my requirement is when i select the value from lov then it will fetch that value into page item.

I have an interactive report which contains the columns like

In the above i have "empno" with a column alignment of left and a "Name" with a column alignment of left.
Whether it is possible to override the data alignment that we set in the report according to the value of the application item like
If my application item value is US, then i need the column alignment of both the column"empno" and "Name" to be left and if my application item value is AR, then i need the column alignment of both the column "empno" and "Name" to be right. Whether is it possible to achieve the dynamic alignment to the report data of both the columns "empno" and "Name" according to the application page item value.And also in the case of page item i have a page item with a name P1_NAME in which it has a Element Horizontal/Vertical alignment to left.
I need that element alignment of the page item to behave dynamically according to the application page item, like if the application page item is US then the element alignment of the page item has to be left and if the application page item is AR then the element alignment of the page item has to be right.
I have a classic report which has 4 rows with date values. The Row1 has Date1, Row2 has Date2 and so on.
The report is structured like this
DATE_COL COL1 COL2
Row1 Date1 100 101
Row2 Date2
I want to use the values of DATE_COL of ROW1 which is Date1 in the label of ITEM1 which can be on same page or different page.
Also I want to sue the value of DaTE_COL of ROW2 which is Date2 in the label of Column 1 of Report 2.
How to accomplish this?
i have a html button. With the following attributes: onclick="return false" class="upd_description" A dynamic Action is listening on this button.

Button and dynamic action are on page 305. I can now open Page 306 as modal window but the page will close immediately.
In the login page, I want to add a text "Register" that when clicked will send the user to another page to register.
With a button, its simple because its inbuilt there,but I do not want a button,just this: Register

I am new to APEX and I am developing an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a page (8) that has text items for the username and the database name. I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *FROM valid_dbWHERE username = :FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How do I accomplish this?
I have different public page (page1) and different page for authorized user(page5).Upon successful login after process validation ,computation it should navigate to authorized user page 5 but the branching does work it keeps on going to page 1 .

I got a reference from this forum on how to print CLOB data using htp.prn.
However when I run my procedure I get the error
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small The clob length is 195734.
The code is

I want to print a report using the apex, but it looks like you need to configure BI, Is there an easy way to print it online and not print the page, which is page report.

Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection
how to reset the page item fields.

How do I center a button within a region? I tried 'align="center"' but this seemed to be ignored. The button is at the left of the screen. Also, what are the 'display points' (Page Template Region Position 1-8) used for, and why is there a specification for column position of 1-9? Could these be attributes that will allow my button to be centered on the window instead of on the left?

but my column heading is less than 30 character long (which is 26)

I have "After header" process (with PL/SQL code) in "Page Rendering" section and want to navigate to some page after this process has been completed. I created a branch (On Submit: After Processing) with Target Type: URL. But this branch is executed only after "Page Processing", not after "Page Rendering". I created a page with 2 tree regions. Both trees use different items and different queries. The first tree is displayed correctly. But the second one just contains the first item, if I don't display the first on via customizing the page or if I change the order of the trees the previoulsy invalid tree is shown correctly, but I didn't find a way to display both correct at the same time.
