I want to print a report using the apex, but it looks like you need to configure BI, Is there an easy way to print it online and not print the page, which is page report.
db11gxe , apex 4.0 , firefox 24 , I have a page with a report and two items , and i want to print the whole page (the report with the items) , can apex do so ?
I'm having a really hard time finding a solution to print the column headings on each page after the page break when printing. We're using a tool called PDF Creator to create the PDF's and they're opened in Adobe.The server is GlassFish Server 3.1.2. What other information can I provide?
i have a report with a parameter that i would like to print out from an On demand Process.When there is an Ajax Call Return. i want the report to show before printing.Here is an example of the code used
DECLARE l_customerid varchar2(200); BEGIN l_customerid:= wwv_flow.g_x01; select product_id
I want to print data from a clob in XML format and use the following
PROCEDURE printClobOut(result IN OUT NOCOPY CLOB) is xmlstr varchar2(32767); line varchar2(32767); cnt NUMBER;
[Code]...
However the length of the clob is 13832630 which is too large for a VARCHAR2. Thus my output of line is cut off at 4000 characters. How can i increase this... Do i overlook something here in my code?
I use the "Media Resource" RESTful service type to generate custom JSON objects via CLOB-returning functions. This worked great in APEX Listener 1.1.3. However, on APEX Listener 2.0 I get status 500 on a RESTful service which works fine on 1.1.3 (which generates a clob > 4000 bytes), and the following in the server log:
SEVERE: ORA-22922: nonexistent LOB value
oracle.dbtools.common.UnrecoverableException: ORA-22922: nonexistent LOB valueThis seems to be the same issue as reported here:
APEX Listener EA2 Standalone CLOB error
As stated by thoechst in that thread:
> It is as though the function is getting cast as a varchar2 somewhere. I verified that the function will correctly return a large result to other sources (dbms_output, for instance). >
Versions:
APEX Listener 2.0 WebLogic 10.3.6 on Windows 2008 SE R2 x64 Oracle DB 11.2.0.3
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
I have encountered a series issue with importing applications into apex 4.2 with apex listener 2.0. Actually I have two stacks one is Apex 4.2 on Oracle 11g XE with apex listener 2.0 running in Stand alone mode and the other one is apex 4.2 on Oracle 11g standard edition with apex listener running on glassfish server. In both, I tried to import an application either from an earlier version (4.1) or an application exported from the same version and same workspace.
In apex 4.2 on Oracle 11g standard edition running on listener 2.0 with GF, even though I select the file to be uploaded again and again, after clicking next, it keeps on saying the error "File must be selected to uploaded".
In the other stack with Oracle XE, it throws an error page from apex listener "500 - Internal Server Error".
Not sure that its an issue with APEX 4.2? if so it would be a great disappointment. Is there any specific configuration needed to be done on apex 4.2 or apex listener?
I read the manual, searched the Forum and Googled, but I can't get websheets demo app to install. No matter what I try, I get "The database objects required to create Websheet applications are either invalid or do not exist." I tried: Create Application -> Websheet. Get message "Invalid Websheet Objects". I then click in that window ate bottom "install sample applications". Chose AnyCo IT Department -> install application -> Get message "Invalid Websheet Objects"
And round and round we go.
I checked in the instance that "Feature Configuration" is set to "Yes"
Note: I have created a new workspace and that one works ok. I can load websheet applications.
I created report with row selector, when I select one row I get tabular form regarding to the selected row from report. I can insert and update data from tabular form, but I have problem with deleting them. Error I get is
ORA-01403: no data found (Row 207589)
My tabular form is created by wizard and primary key is managed by database rowid, I use apex 4.1 an 10g database.
1. On the Home Page, click the "Settings" wheel in the header of the Team Development region on the right side. 2. On the Home Page Preferences popup set "Show" to something else as "All" and click [Apply Changes] 3. Back on the Home Page, in the Team Development region on the right side, click the number next to "Bugs" 4. ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "P3500_RELEASE" in application "4800".
After upgrading to Apex 4.2 I'm now unable to test Report Queries. Each time I click on the Test Report button via Shared Components|Report Queries I recieve the following error message:
ORA-20001: The printing engine could not be reached because either the URL specified is incorrect or a proxy URL needs to be specified.
I still have Apex version 4.1 installed on a different server and it appears to be working fine.
I have an application which includes a certain page with a tabular form.After I copied this to a second schema, Apex threw an error
'Unable to bind ':126_ENG_PROJ_ID'
It took me quite a while before I found out that one of my fields in that tabular form has a Popup Key LOV.The SQL for the LOV was:
select dv, rv from (select loop_short dv, cmpnt_id rv from SPI_MAIN_TAG where eng_proj_id in (:P126_ENG_PROJ_ID, -:P126_ENG_PROJ_ID) ) order by dv
Turned out that the view SPI_MAIN_TAG didn't exist in the second schema.Apex error message would have been more clear, like a simple 'Table or view does not exist' error, where possible even with the table name.I had Debug turned on, but in the debug window there was no reference to above SQL,
I have created a simple page with a tabular form built on a view. The view is on top of a collection that is created when the page is ran. I added a tabular form column validation. I then was going to add a pl/sql process to handle the updates into the db, but before I did that I wanted to delete the ApplyMRU that was created when I first created the tabular form because it does not make sense on my view. When I went to delete the MRU it gave me an error saying "Multi Row Update processes can't be deleted as long as there are validations defined for the tabular form".
I have searched for an answer on this, but so far I have not found much. I am hoping it is something simple that I am missing. I even tried deleting the MRU first and then add the validation, but then it gave me another error about "Tabular form validations require multi-row update processes" I know this was possible in 4.1, but now I am trying it on 4.2
When i run the below mentioned query(similar query)on TOAD. It will run without any errors and i can see "PL/SQL Procedure successfully completed" in the task bar.....
However i am unable to see the output for the query.
print the the query output on TOAD ....
**** Sample Query Starts ***** DECLARE i PLS_INTEGER; BEGIN SELECT NVL(i, 93) INTO i FROM DUAL; --print i; --dbms_output.put_line('i1: ' || i); END; **** Sample Query Ends*****
**** Actual Query Starts ***** ----------------------------------------------------------------- DECLARE UnxDate number(6); MyResult number(6); Todaysdate date := TO_DATE('17-01-2012 00:00:00','dd-mm-yyyy hh24:mi:ss'); BEGIN SELECT ROUND (Todaysdate - TO_DATE('01-jan-1970','dd-mon-yyyy') ) INTO UnxDate FROM dual; [code]......
I have issue with application ,When I am trying to upload any a csv file of 3 MB in email through apexIts only uploading 32Kb of data remaining is ignoring for more then 32kbMay I know why this issue is and is there any process or methods to track this. I am using the apex version (Application Express 4.1.1.00.23).
I needed to create a page on my existing APEX application that would allow the user to upload a file, I followed an online tutorial where the user had created a dummy table and inserted CSV File inserted through APEX into the table. Following that simple example I am able to load the simple CSV file (from tutorial) into a dummy table (from tutorial) but when I attempt to insert actual/dummy data into my actual database (which has a lot more fields of different types), using the exact same process, I am unable to do so.
Ironically, I am unable to insert even dummy values despite the fact that I have been able to insert the same dummy values using SQL Developer. Icing on the cake is that APEX does not produce any error, this lack of debugging feature (especially line by line debugging) is such a pain. Just to add, I can load the values into an Array and can successfully print the delimited values off the array but am still unable to insert the same values into my table. Here is the table that I am attempting to insert into (actual names replaced by Dummyxx):
Note that all the the CSV does not contain all the fields, the CSV files that are expected to be entered into the system contain 65 Fields whereas the Table has 73 Fields. Also note that the process runs fine through SQL loader that is invoked through a different server which I need to release and hence the attempt to load the table this way. Also, the procedure on the SQL Loader server is quite complex and involved JAVA+Unix Shell Scripts etc. which I would prefer to avoid.
It displys the Google page in another window. How can size the wiindow? For example adding width=200, height=100 to the href tag doesn't work.... Do I need to use JavaSvript?If yes, any example?.
Version : 4.1.1, I have a tabular form on a DB table. One of the columns is a date field. When the user hits the "add Row" button on the tabular form, I want the Date field to be defaulted to sysdate. Here is what I have tried so far,
1. Created a "hidden" item P1_SYSDATE and populated the default value with sysdate. After this, under the DB tabular report date field, I used default type - Item/application on this page and entered P1_sYSDATE
2. Instead of populating the default value of the P1_SYSDATE hidden item, I created a before regions process and added
:P1_SYSDATE := sysdate
and added P1_SYSDATE to default type of the tabular date field with default type as "ITem/application on this page.
I get the error
ORA-01790: expression must have same datatype as corresponding expression
I tried to_Char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yyyy') and then converting it back to to_date. still no luck.
I created a master-detail form using wizard in oracle apex 4.2 Now I want to attach an LOV to one of the items of detail form, which is visible on the same window as of master form. To do so, I need to first find the item in detail page, details of which are not available in page definitions. I can see all the items of master form but none for detail form in "Page Rendering" section.
When i click on next I get the series of error. Really I don't understand this What are these errors,
Unable to access the selected application. Exception in AppMerge flows' progression Exception in AppMerge flows' progression Unable to resolve deadlock in factory claims Unable to resolve deadlock in factory claims
We have integrated Oracle Access Manager 11gR1 with Oracle Apex 4.1. The OAM-Apex integration is working fine. Now we want an additional header variable to be passed from OAM to the Apex application. This new header variable will be user's sAMAccountName in Active Directory. OAM is integrated with AD and the AD users are successfully able to access the Apex applications.
The three header variables which are configure in OAM right now are: Header variable name Value 1. OAM_REMOTE_USER $user.userid 2. OAM_REMOTE_USER_EMAIL $user.attr.mail 3. OAM_REMOTE_USER_GROUPS $user.groups
We need an additional header variable as mentioned below: Header variable name: OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME Value: $user.attr.samaccountname
The new header variable was added in the OHS server's dads.conf file like shown below: =========== dads.conf ============= ... PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER_GROUPS PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER_EMAIL PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME
But we are not able to read the value of this attribute in the Apex application.On the Apex application, we have a text box which shows the value of this header variable. This textbox is attached with the following stored procedure call to fetch the header variable: =================== begin :P1_HEADER_VALUE := owa_util.get_cgi_env( 'HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME' ); end;
The textbox shows the correct value if HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER is passed to the get_cgi_env method but does not shows anything when HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME is passed to the same method. if I am missing some configuration to pass the HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME haeder variable from OAM to Apex.
I have multiple application set-up using session sharing within the workspace.Technically all works fine, however it does not play nice with user behaviour.
Example: Users logs into APP_ID:100. Since he isn't authenticated yet, he provides user/pass and the APP_SESSION is authenticated. Now if the user switches using to another application (using a link provided in application 100) he gets redirect to APP_ID:101:APP_SESSION all is fine.
The session is already authenticated, the application shares the session and the user gains access to app 101 without having to authenticate again. All's fine!
However users don't behave they way. Instead of using an easy link in the application. They will use their own bookmark or type in the url for app 101 manually. That way the next application is either called with f?p=101:1:[SOME OLD SESSIONID FROM BOOMARK] or f?p=101 (with no further page or session info) In both cases instead of using the already authenticated session apex spawns a new session, which of course isn't authenticated yet thus forcing the user to authenticate and come complaining they have to login again.
Similar behaviour problems exists when the user opens a browser and tries to open both applications in each in a tab next to each other.Both tabs fetch there own initial session id and start writing it to the same cookie each in turn invalidating the other tab's session.These can lead to some fanatic ping pong actions. Thus it's impossible to open 2 applications sharing session in the same browser.
Is there any remedy for these situations?Can apex be as smart as for instance first trying to resume the session stored in the cookie and only if that session is invalid, start a new session?
