below requirement..
We have certain records like SQL, PL/SQL, Reports, Forms, OAF etc in a table. We wanted to capture rating for each of these criteria. So we want a form to be displayed dynamically..
i have used radio button under dynamic conditions for an interactive report.eg: radio button values are like a) front end b)middlware c)back end.so based on the selected value of the radio button, interactive report appears. and each fields in radio button have separate set of users. now my issue is,based on the user logging in, the default value should set up while the page is loaded...[i.e... if a front end user logs in, the default value of tat radio button shd be front end...]
i have multiple radio gropus(one group for each row) in my report. Each row can be identified either by my rownm or id. I am looping through my report rows once the page is submitted to get the values of each radio group but I am not able to make it work...

I need to load data from a CSV file where one of the CSV values determines how many records should be inserted.

In APEX I've always created form on report so as to have the list of records of a table and the possibility of inserting/updating every sinle record by means of the form on it, ok?I have an application concerning classic costumers, orders, ... with a table for every item.
The problem is that I have to gather all information ao as to produce a classic bill with a typical layout where you have on your left some descriptions and on your right an amount but of course the layout is not based on a classic table, do you mean?Do I have to create a table in which I'll add data and null values so as to get the layout desired

I have a page with about 8 Classic reports. 4 of them percentage values, 4 totals. I have one RG with a Percentage or total option. When I select the percentage radio, it should hide all the total regions. When I select the totals radio it should hide all the percentage regions. Simple? So I thought. This is what I did.
1. Created a RG(P2_RG) -> Page value is redirect and set value.
2. STATIC:Percentage;P,Total;T
In the RG, I have created a normal DA which has the true and false events as follows.
Event -> Change Items -> P2_RG equal to -> P
In the true actions, I have hidden the 4 totals regions. shown the 4 Percent regions. In the false action, I have shown hidden the 4 percent region shown the 4 totals region.
The event specification for one these true actions is
Action -> Hide (If I am hiding) Fire when event is ->True Selection type -> region Region -> The region I want to hide/show.
But it does not work! I tried to replicate the issue on apex, by using a small example but could not. Works fine in apex following the same process.

I tried to debug by having a display item to show the value when I change the radio button. The values are changing properly. I tried actually, adding a condition filter in the region itself by using the "Value of item/column in expression1 = expression 2" where expression one I tried :P2_RG and expression 2 as P but that just hides the whole region.
I thought this was the easy bit in APEX when you just create a form based on a table, with some validations etc. and use it to insert,update data. However on inserting the first record, I get the following error:

The form is based on a table with a primary key and the primary key is populated from an APEX-generated sequence.
I tried recreating the form, but still no good and now I get the no data error even when clicking "RUN" at page level, so the page does not even display.
We use Apex 4.2 with Apex Listener. Recently we patched apex to 4.2.2 and now when we try to create a form based on a table, after selecting the schema and table we get the following error: "You do not have access to the schema that you are importing.
Import failed" I've seen some posts regarding this error but nothing that works with my current situation. The database grants are in place.
I am trying to update records in the target table based on the records coming in from source. For instance, if the incoming record is present in the target table I would update them in the target else I would simply insert. I have over one million records in my source while my target has 46 million records. The target table is partitioned based on calendar key. I implement this whole logic using Informatica. Looking at the informatica session log I find that the informatica code is perfectly fine but its in the update part it takes long time (more than 5 days to update one million records). find the TARGET TABLE query and the UPDATE query as below.

The requirement is the records should be split based on below conditions
1. Split only those records WHERE (end_num - strt_num) > 10 2. If TRUNC((end_num - strt_num)/10) = n, then n + 1 number of rows should be created for that record 3. While splitting the records, -> For first record , START_NUM = Original STRT_NUM and END_NUM = START_NUM + 10 -> Second record , STRT_NUM = previous END_NUM + 1 and END_NUM = previous END_NUM + 10 And this should continue for all records except the last record -> For last record, STRT_NUM = previous END_NUM + 1 AND END_NUM = Original END_NUM
This table has 5 million records. Only for 2000 records (end_num - strt_num) > 10.
Expected Output.

In a pl/sql procedure code, I created a normal table (create table) using dynamic sql. Then I used that table in procedure for further processing. But while compiling, it gave error that table does not exist. I can understand that he table is not present in DB, so the error came. But at the same time I need to create a table dynamically, use it and drop it. Does it mean that I need to make every query referencing that table as dynamic ??
i need to create a replica of an existing table in same schema dynamically so as to reflect the modifications on replica table which has been done on primary table.this table we need to maintain as snapshot,like if a column is added or deleted then it should automatically be added or deleted on the replica table.how should i approach this.
i encountered a big problem after upgrading Apex from 4.1 to 4.2.2. On an application page there is a Text Area which will be read and processed after clicking a button. I didn't want a refresh of the page and did it with a dynamic action.All this worked like a charm with 4.1. Since the upgrade, the value of the Text Area is always returned as null while processing the dynamic action, but the value is filled by the user!When i change the type of the Element to Rich Text Area everything works fine, but i don't want this because i don't want HTML in the corresponding table. Is this a bug? How can i workaround it?
I have a form on a table which has a column indicating if the row is editable or not. When the form is displaying an existing row, the user would like the display attribute of all fields to be set to Display Only when the column indicates the row is not editable - otherwise the attributes should be set to Text, Number, Date, etc.

I got my desired results by brute-forcing via four sub-queries:
Sub-query 1 - Generate the sorted Names with SeqNo = 0 Sub-query 2 - Expand above with the additional columns, maintaining original order Sub-query 3 - For each of the records from sub-query 2, generate the 'dependents' having the same ID and SeqNo != 0 Sub-query 4 - Expand above with the additional columns, maintaining original order of sub-query 1 Main query - Create UNION of 2 and 4, sorting by original order and SeqNo
if there were not a simpler approach - after all, this must be a fairly common issue when generating BOMs.
I am using 10.2.4.0 of oracle. I am having one requirement, in which i have to divide the set of records into certain groups , so that they can be executed partly but not in one run.
So in the 'SELECT' clause itself i want to assigns particular value (may be 1 )to first 50000 records then another value(may be 2) to next 10000, like wise. And again the total count of records will also varry time to time , if the total count of record set is less than 10000 , then it should only assign '1' to all the records. i will set the group values (1,2,3...) as another column itself.
i have implemeted grid control for monitoring database. we have different database environment like PROD , STAGE, TEST, BETA.
Now my requirement is, i need to configure PROD & STAGE alert for one group (group1@oracle.com) means, what ever alerts generated by grid should sent notification to group1@oracle.com and TEST AND BETA database alerts should to group2@oracle.com.
Now i am following the oracle manual to configure notifications. unfortunately i could not find to complete my requirement.

did any one implemented alerts to send different groups.
(1) a drop down list item called P38_DESK which contains a list of desks such as A, B, C
(2) a Chart region with region title: Chart Mvt by &P38_DESK.
(3) a dynamic action to "refresh" the Chart region if the value of P38_DESK is changed.
I can see that everytime the desk is changed from the drop down list, the chart section/region gets refreshed accordingly but NOT the Chart's region title.
It only showed the first value I chose. e.g. Chart Mvt by A So in APEX4.2, how can the CHART's region title be changed dynamically ( without submitting the entire page ) to reflect the value from the drop down list P38_DESK ?
Im tring to dynamically hide/show page item. I searched and found something but it not working for me. Im using apex 4.1 and below described are work I did.
In my page (form) I have 5 fileds iitems.
- Customer No - Edit - First Name - Last Name - Address
I want to hide First Name, Last Name, Address based on the value in Edit. Let say if user selects "Edit First Name" then First Name must get visible while Last Name & Address hidden.

I have created report with the collections. Report query has been changing dynamically but i got problem with report header names and headers names has not been changing dynamically it is always showing like c001,c002....etc so, i have created global item(G_ITEM) in shared components--->Applications items after that I have created process(before headers) and assigning some value to G_ITEM and used &G_ITEM to column headres in IR Report but here &G_ITEM is not showing any value.
How can i achieve dynamic headers names by using *&G_ITEM(global items)*

I'm trying to update a number field on an apex page by summing up the values of multiple page items. I've tried to follow this tutorial

especially the "Create a Set Value Dynamic Action Using PL/SQL" part.
In the tutorial example they return an page item value P3_SAL multiplied by a multiplier they've determined by another page item's case. What I want to do is much simpler in that I just want to add up multiple page item values and then display them in a number field at the bottom of the page.
so the code I tried to use based on the tutorial is in the tab: Home >Application Builder>Application 103>Page 3>Edit Dynamic Action>Create / Edit Action
