Application Express :: Highlighting Accordion Based On Selection

I have created three accordians where there will be sub tabs under each Accordian. There will be two logins. Where when i login with Admin all the 3 accordians will be shown. But in the user logins 1st Accordian will be hidden and only 2nd & 3rd will be shown with their sub tabs.
In order to highlight the tab & also for Accordian to be open based on the selection, i wrote code as follows

in the page under the Execute When Page Loads region where ('activate',0) means the position of the accordian which will be taken as 0,1,2..etc.But when i login as user then as the 1st accordian will be hidden & the 2nd and 3rd accordians will become 1st & 2nd. So 1st & 2nd accordian wil be consider as 0,1 positions here.
So when i click on the 2nd accordian tabs then the accordian is not opening because in the pages of this accordian tabs i have given the code as

as the active is 1 so the accordian in position 1 is opening but i want the accordian in 0 position to be opened as i selected the tab under that accordion only.

I would like to populate a text box based on selection from a LOV. If someone selects a LOV value and then tabs off off of that element, I would like the text box populated from a sql statement based on the LOV value in the predicate.Application Express 4.1.1.00.23

Earlier i used select list item type with single select values so, According to my requirement in where clause i have written the condition like this
NVL(publish_id, :P91_PUBLISH_ID) = NVL(:P91_PUBLISH_ID,publish_id)
but my requirement is multi selection. How could i write same condition for multi selection.

We have a master detail form with report that inserts the details in both region/ sub region.
However our requirement is that in sub region we have a LOV to chose the service, and each service has a price. How can we populate the Price column based on the selection of the Service? There are some similar posts but we cannot apply to our form.

Problem:
Our term (strm) is dictated by the term_begin_dt and term_end_dt dates but I want to keep selecting that term until 1 week before the next term opens and then switch to that term.
Basically, I don't want any gaps between a term.
Output:
select strm when sysdate is between term_begin_dt and term_end_dt (strm would equal 3943)
select strm until 1 week before the start of the next term (4027) (strm would equal 3943)
select strm when 1 week before term_begin_dt (strm would equal 4027)
Repeat for the next term and so on 12/16/2011

Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection
how to reset the page item fields.

I have a need to change the LOV of a page item's select list based on the selection in another page item's select list. So in other words, for a page item that is a select list, I need to use one LOV normally, and a different LOV if the value of a different page item is set to X.
A dynamic action would be useful here (on change where Select List 1 = x), but I don't know how to take the action of changing LOVsfor Select List 2 based on that action.

In APEX I've always created form on report so as to have the list of records of a table and the possibility of inserting/updating every sinle record by means of the form on it, ok?I have an application concerning classic costumers, orders, ... with a table for every item.
The problem is that I have to gather all information ao as to produce a classic bill with a typical layout where you have on your left some descriptions and on your right an amount but of course the layout is not based on a classic table, do you mean?Do I have to create a table in which I'll add data and null values so as to get the layout desired

i have used radio button under dynamic conditions for an interactive report.eg: radio button values are like a) front end b)middlware c)back end.so based on the selected value of the radio button, interactive report appears. and each fields in radio button have separate set of users. now my issue is,based on the user logging in, the default value should set up while the page is loaded...[i.e... if a front end user logs in, the default value of tat radio button shd be front end...]

I want to do automatic row fetch when the value of a select list changes ?but first i should ofcourse create a tabular form to fetch the data into it , but what i want is ,if i fetch 2 rows then the report contains only two rows , if i fetch 3 , the report contains only 3, if i fetch nothing , the report has nothing ?

I am using Apex 4.1 and have a requirement to create an interactive report based on a dynamic query. This option is available in Classic report but in Interactive this feature is not there. Tried using collections or just a view (thought of changing the view definition during "On load", but structure of the report is already defined based on the definition of the view at design time).
Is there any way of achieving this?

I've got a report with two lov's, where the user is able to change the lov value and submit it. After submit the status of the item P100_status will be changed in Disable. Based on this value the lov's must be disables with apex_disabled. How can I disable these columns based on the value of P100_status?

I have a Select list which when null should disable a button and when not null should enable it. For which I tried the Advanced DA. Strangely, in the final page where we select the item that is going to be controlled, the button is not listed! I can see other display items etc which I can select but not the button.

I am trying to redirect to different pages based on user inputs. I have a form in which I have one text item and a submit button. For example consider text item to be empno; So once the user enters a empno and hits submit button; I need to redirect to different pages based on this job.
For Ex:
if user inputs empno whose job is 'ANALYST' then redirect to page 1
if user inputs empno whose job is 'MANAGER' then redirect to page 10
For this scenario. i wrote a pl/sql process for the submit button; but no luck -- its not at all redirecting instead its in the same page. Below is the process.

I have a select box with products, and a dynamic action that updates a display only element with the price, based on the product selection.After the selection is made and the page is submitted, I have noticed that the price is not stored in the database. If I change the display only value to a text box, the data is saved. Is this expected behavior? If so, can I add something to the text box to make it not editable?
Version is Application Express 4.1.1.00.23

I thought this was the easy bit in APEX when you just create a form based on a table, with some validations etc. and use it to insert,update data. However on inserting the first record, I get the following error:
is_internal_error: false
ora_sqlcode: 100
ora_sqlerrm: ORA-01403: no data found
[Code]....
The form is based on a table with a primary key and the primary key is populated from an APEX-generated sequence.
I tried recreating the form, but still no good and now I get the no data error even when clicking "RUN" at page level, so the page does not even display.

We use Apex 4.2 with Apex Listener. Recently we patched apex to 4.2.2 and now when we try to create a form based on a table, after selecting the schema and table we get the following error: "You do not have access to the schema that you are importing.
Import failed" I've seen some posts regarding this error but nothing that works with my current situation. The database grants are in place.

I have the report setup and need to make the following change... I have 2 columns: Comm and bonus,
if the bonus > comm, I need to change the text color of the bonus color to Red if the bonus < comm
I need to change the text color of the bonus color to Green if the bonus = comm, I need to change the text color of the bonus color to Black I have tried using code with the select and am NOT wanting that since it will be bundled with the data when downloaded as CSV or Excel.. Had thought about using the built in highlighting but that doesn't allow comparing a column to another.. Was thinking of a dynamic action, but not clear as to HOW to do it.

We have certain records like SQL, PL/SQL, Reports, Forms, OAF etc in a table. We wanted to capture rating for each of these criteria. So we want a form to be displayed dynamically..
SQL 1 2 3 4 (1,2,3,4 represent radio buttons)
PL/SQL 1 2 3 4
Reports 1 2 3 4
Forms 1 2 3 4
OAF 1 2 3 4
If we add another row, XMLP in that table additional radio button should be displayed automatically..

I used Region, Process by to search the report which appears as shown above. Then I use Choose Auditors column to select my Auditor and copy paste it into the report under To be Audited By col. Is there a way to automate the process. I am here using a tabular form in APEX. My main aim is to assign auditors based on Region, not equal to Processed by.

I am trying to develop an ongoing interview schedule.
interviews may be held on FRIDAY, SATURDAY, TUESDAY or any other day or Days in a every week selected by the user and also at some specific time.
we need to schedule the closest comming day based on Application date.
for example: today is WEDNESDAY and our schedule interview day is FRIDAY and SUNDAY. If one application is received today we need to schedule interview on FRIDAY because this is the nearest/closest day of WEDNESDAY. and if the application is received on Saturday then of course Sunday will be scheduled.
if Application is received on same day e.g. FRIDAY is scheduled and we receive Application on FRIDAY then comes the concept of time. interview is schedules on FRIDAY 11:30 AM.
if application is received on before 11:30AM, the same day will be scheduled. If application is received after 11:30 AM then of course next closest day will be scheduled.

I'd like to select one of two fields from a table, based on which of them is greater for that row.
e.g. For every row in JOINING_TBL, I'd like to select either JOINING_DATE or REJOINING_DATE, whichever is greater. I do dream about being able to use a Java-like ternary operator in here, something like this:-
SELECT (JOINING_DATE>REJOINING_DATE?JOINING_DATE:REJOINING_DATE) FROM JOINING_TBL
However, I understand(through other fora) that this can't be used in here.

I have a question regarding a selection limit from a list of values. The table where my IDs (unit_codes) come from has another column called 'points'. each ID has its own number of points. Is there a way to put a selection limit on the display field that points will be placed on?
FOR EXAMPLE: a course block has a selection limit of 70 points, A person named someguy selects :
music = 20 points
maths = 20 points
mathsXTRA = 40 points
**ALERT!!! - U can ONLY select 70 points worth of units**

It is important because later after adding a new column into Source Data it WILL NOT appear in MV after refresh.
I also thought about Data Guard, Streams and RAC, but I think only in the Materialized Views you may choose the data to show (rows, columns).
