Earlier i used select list item type with single select values so, According to my requirement in where clause i have written the condition like this
NVL(publish_id, :P91_PUBLISH_ID) = NVL(:P91_PUBLISH_ID,publish_id)
but my requirement is multi selection. How could i write same condition for multi selection.

I have a 'Select List' widget (P_FILTER) which I have set to return multiple values. In my report region, I have something like this
Select A from B where B.Col_1 IN upper(:P_FILTER)
When user selects only 1 value, the report is correct but if user selects more than 1 value (e.g. 2), the report does not return any rows. How do I get the report to recognize the multiple values returned by the LOV?
I have a Page containing 3 reports and I was wondering if it is possible to re-execute only one of the these reports using a button or preferably a Select List which allows me to choose which of the 3 reports I wish to 'refresh/re-execute'. I may be totally wrong here but I assumed that choosing the option to submit a Page will cause all regions to refresh i.e. re-execute the SQL queries they are 'based on'.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created three accordians where there will be sub tabs under each Accordian. There will be two logins. Where when i login with Admin all the 3 accordians will be shown. But in the user logins 1st Accordian will be hidden and only 2nd & 3rd will be shown with their sub tabs.
In order to highlight the tab & also for Accordian to be open based on the selection, i wrote code as follows

in the page under the Execute When Page Loads region where ('activate',0) means the position of the accordian which will be taken as 0,1,2..etc.But when i login as user then as the 1st accordian will be hidden & the 2nd and 3rd accordians will become 1st & 2nd. So 1st & 2nd accordian wil be consider as 0,1 positions here.
So when i click on the 2nd accordian tabs then the accordian is not opening because in the pages of this accordian tabs i have given the code as

as the active is 1 so the accordian in position 1 is opening but i want the accordian in 0 position to be opened as i selected the tab under that accordion only.
We have a master detail form with report that inserts the details in both region/ sub region.
However our requirement is that in sub region we have a LOV to chose the service, and each service has a price. How can we populate the Price column based on the selection of the Service? There are some similar posts but we cannot apply to our form.

Briefly, a user in timezone A should be able to create a record with a date in timezone B and the users should be able to view the records in their timezones. What is the best method? Should I maintain a Timezone field for each user site or even per transaction, or is using "Automatic Time Zone" feature in Globalization section of Application Properties sufficient? I have developed Apex applications before, but they did not have to have different time zones, so I am not sure how I should build my database schema. Do you guys store everything as UTC and display values based on user's Timezone setting? I am aware of the Timestamp with Local Timezone data type.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created a simple page with a tabular form built on a view. The view is on top of a collection that is created when the page is ran. I added a tabular form column validation. I then was going to add a pl/sql process to handle the updates into the db, but before I did that I wanted to delete the ApplyMRU that was created when I first created the tabular form because it does not make sense on my view. When I went to delete the MRU it gave me an error saying "Multi Row Update processes can't be deleted as long as there are validations defined for the tabular form".
I have searched for an answer on this, but so far I have not found much. I am hoping it is something simple that I am missing. I even tried deleting the MRU first and then add the validation, but then it gave me another error about "Tabular form validations require multi-row update processes" I know this was possible in 4.1, but now I am trying it on 4.2
I M USING APEX 4.1 AND CREATED SELECT LIST ON PAGE, I WANT TO SHOW MIN VALUE OF THE SELECT LIST FOR THAT I WROTE IN THAT SELECT LIST PROPERTIES UNDER DEFAULT TAG MIN; AND CHOOSE PL/SQL EXPRESSION BUT ITS GIVING ERROR "Error computing item default value for page item P1_PRODUCT."
BUT IF I HARDCORE THE VALUE CONTAINING IN MY DATA LIKE PRODUCT ID = 1, I HARDCODED IN DEFAULT VALUE 1 AND SELECT PL/SQL EXPRESSION IT WORKS.
BUT ITS NOT DONE LIKE THIS I WANT TO SELECT BY DEFAULT MIN VALUE OF THE SELECT LIST, SO THAT THE DATA SHOULD BE DISPLAYED ACCORDING TO THAT.
THE EXACT REQUIREMENT IS TO ENTER THE SELECT LIST DEFAULT VALUE IN SESSION SO THAT DATA IS TO BE DISPLAYED.
Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection

I have no authentication required for my application, but want to secure a few pages.
On the page I wish to secure I have specified that user should not be a public user.
When I click a link to the page I do get a login box, but I seem to be able to enter any old rubbish and still proceed to the page.
How do I secure an individual page without a general authentication scheme at application level, so an Apex user account is needed.

I have a user requirement where they want to be able to select multiple values for a single parameter that will act as a filter for a report. The possible values for a parameter can come from almost any master data Oracle eBusiness table. I don't want to just present the user with a LOV where they search down a list selecting what they want. That wouldn't be very practical for selecting part numbers from 1000's of rows. I also want the user to easily see what values they have selected. I thought about providing a button that would navigate to a multi-row form where they could record their values and use those values in the where clause of the SQL for the report, but that is a somewhat complex solution I have never tried before. how to do this. I'm working in the latest version 4 of APEX.

Here is where I am stuck.
CHECKBOX - I have used Dynamic Events to hide/show page items, but in this case I need a SUBMIT.

After setting up a data entry page,The logic in my page requires that all the records in my tabular form should be displayed .The tabular form is based on a collection, and the user selects rows through a checkbox.Any reload of the page due to pagination will break the logic, as some calculation and display events occur during page load, based on the previous page.
I need to display about 25 rows.I have changed the report attribute to display 50 rows, but it displays rows only up to the bottom of the screen, i.e. 11 rows.
Unfortunately I only just added some new rows and saw this behaviour else I would not have gone that way, as I expected APEX to display all rows if required.

explain slow performance of multicolumn indexes on oracle 11g R2 observed in the following scenario? A multi-column index (b-tree index) not partitioned, not unique, not reversed with 3 columns.
A series of queries are run using all 3 columns. The performance hit comes when the first order column values changes. So, maybe after 10 select queries the value changes. The 2nd and 3rd order columns are changing throughout the series of select calls, but no performance bottleneck it hit then.
