View 2 Replies View RelatedI have build a sw containing 20 forms & 35 reports. I have created users table.
Now I want to assign different rights to different users like update, view , update, print, delete etc etc. Enable disable add/delete/update buttons on basis of user rights.
I'm trying to get the values of a Geometry which is an Oriented Point. To that, i'm using SDO_UTIL.GETVERTICES, but this utility only obtains the point X,Y, it doesn't obtain the values of the orientation vector.
The Geometry is this:
MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(
2001,8307,NULL,
MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,1,1,3,1,0),
MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(-75.586088632813272,6.1794352615514194,0.57278169530235967,-0.81970795380217887,0)
)
The query is this:
SELECT c.ipid, c.nombre, t.X, t.Y, t.Z, t.W
FROM Hidrantes c,
TABLE(SDO_UTIL.GETVERTICES(c.geometria)) t
where c.ipid = 4691117
ORDER BY c.ipid, t.id;
Result:
4691117 -75,5860886328133 6,17943526155142 (null) (null)
As you can see, it only obtains the X,Y values but not the values of the orientation vector, how can I get the values?
I'm not sure is parallel query supported in xe ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've looked in several places, OTN, Google, various DBA forums to figure out if the way we have a client installed on a network drive is supported by Oracle - short of asking them if it's supported.
The configuration we have is a full 10g R2 client installed on a network drive, and the various environment variables (Oracle_Home, TNS_ADMIN, etc.) point to that network location for use by client machines (I'm also trying to see if the Instant client is supported on a network location as well.) We've had this set up for years which has served us well.
A co-worker remembers years ago that this set up wasn't supported, Oracle 8 or so was his thought as to what version was used then. Another coworker at an Oracle conference asked this same question and was told that it was supported, however we can't find any documentation to that effect.
Now the question arises as to whether or not using a client installed on a networked drive is a supported configuration for 10g R2 or higher, and if so, where it would be documented.
We are in the process of changing network topology and are reviewing whether this configuration is still the right thing for us or if clients should be installed locally to where they are used.
I decided to use Oracle 11g XE on Linux Mint. I read this tutorial Oracle 11gR2 Express Edition on Linux Ubuntu 11.10 howto included the seventh part. However, I did a minor change in the script given. Indeed, since Ubuntu 12.04, a bug appeared. So I use the following script :
cat > /etc/init.d/oracle-shm <<-EOF
#! /bin/sh
# /etc/init.d/oracle-shm

I already uninstalled and reinstalled Oracle 3-4 times, but nothing else happened. When I want to configure oracle-xe, I have a such message :

1) Trigger of version 1 did not report any error during compilation, but during DML execution, hangs for sometime and gives the above error.
2) Whether direct assignment of Objects of greater size is possible inside triggers built on object Tables?
3) Suppose an object contain multiple attributes (say more than 20), then how to assign them inside a trigger?
I have a problem with executing oracleCommand.ExecuteReader() method. Whatever I try it always returns null and it won't create OracleData reader object. I'm using ODAC 1120320_x64 for .net 4.0 and timesten112241.win64. Don't sure what to do. Debugger is showing strange thing in OracleConnection object : ConnectionState = Closed, but output of ttStatus shows connection to TimesTen data store and ExecuteNonQuery() command works just fine with or without (in or out) parameters. But when I try to execute some query with multile output such as select *, I can't get any result.
I also have a strange problem with connection.Open() When I execute Open() i throws AccessViolationException that can be handled with [Handle ProcessCorruptedStateExceptions] attribute, but connection is established after that and my application works fine until I try to instance OracleDataReader object.
Here is the code:
OracleCommand select = null;
OracleDataReader reader = null;
select = new OracleCommand(selectStmt, connection);
select.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
try
{
reader = select.ExecuteReader(); // this line throws NullReferenceException
if (reader.HasRows)
{
[code]....
Just to mention, I tried it with different queries (pl/sql, plane sql, stored procedure) and all of them works fine in SQL Developer, but not in app.
Is there any query to find the dependent object details for any object. Like if mview is built on a table, then i should be able to find the table name with out checking code of the mview. similar way for view and functions or procedures etc...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Oracle Forms Builder 6i. When you open it, in the navigator tree:
- Forms - MODULE - Reports
I want to know what is the purpose of REPORT section in the Forms Builder.
I have an Type-object typeObj1 that consists another Type-object typeObj2. this def has another Type-object typeObj3. how to access variable declared inside typeObj3. I have syntax below for each Type.
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE typeObj1
AS OBJECT
(
SYSTEM_IDENTIFER VARCHAR2(50),
PROCESS_TYPE VARCHAR2(50),
abc typeObj2
)
/
[Code]...
/I have tried to access the type-object in where clause in following way
FROM TABLE(CAST(I_typeObj1 AS typeObj1)) ITTPRC,
......
Where
.......
AND (ADDKEY.ADDTN_INFO_KEY_TYP_NM IN (SELECT ADDTN_INFO_KEY_TYP_NM FROM TABLE(ITTPRC.abc)))
AND (ADTINF.ADDTN_RQST_TYP_VAL_DT IN (SELECT ADDTN_RQST_VAL_DT FROM TABLE( ITTPRC.def)) OR ITTPRC.def IS NULL )
AND (ADTINF.ADDTN_RQST_TYP_VAL_NUM IN (SELECT ADDTN_RQST_VAL_NUM FROM TABLE( ITTPRC.def)) OR ITTPRC.def IS NULL )
AND (ADTINF.ADDTN_RQST_TYP_VALUE IN (SELECT ADDTN_RQST_VALUE FROM TABLE( ITTPRC.def)) OR ITTPRC.def IS NULL )
In this way i am able to access the variable inside typeObj3. But problem is i am getting error "ORA-01427 single-row subquery returns more than one row" when i pass more that one typeObj2.
I passed the values like this in proc execution.
T_T_A_I_V := typeObj3('asdasd',NULL,NULL),
typeObj3('String654',NULL,NULL),
typeObj3('abcdef',NULL,NULL));
T_T_A_I_I := typeObj2('CampusCode',T_T_A_I_V),
typeObj2('PlanNumber',T_T_A_I_V);
What i have done is removed typeObj3 from typeObj2, variables defined in typeObj3 are added in typeObj2 then i got ride of above error. is it correct
I am using the dblink to merge the data. I am using the following merge statement.
merge into APP_USER.USR_NEW_RIGHTS@NEW_RIGHTS t
Using (select 'test' GRANTEE,'TESTxxx'ROLE from dual ) s
on (t.GRANTEE = s.GRANTEE and t.ROLE = s.ROLE)
when not matched then
insert (ID,GRANTEE,ROLE,XRIGHT,COMPANY,OWNER,TABLENAME)
values ('','test','TESTxxx',null, null, null, null);
I know that I have to set a commit and it's working when I insert information's with a normal insert statement via database link, but it seems that merging doesn't work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to call a database procedure written in Oracle 8.1.7.4.0 with OUT parameter and COMMIT statement from my Oracle 10g environment, I am getting error like "ORA-02064: distributed operation not supported".
I cannot omit OUT/COMMIT statement from the procedure because it is also updating another table from called procedure. I have tried some solutions from my end, but it is not working and same error generating. Like:
1) Moved the update statement with COMMIT statement to another procedure and calling that procedure from main called procedure
2) Creating a job to run the newly created procedure and submit the job from called procedureetc.
