Currently i am using IE 6 for running my forms 10g, I like to know upto which IE Versions i can update so it must not affect my Oracle forms 10g running.
i like to update to IE 8, but it must not affect my forms runtime functionality!
what version of java is supported by Oracle Database 10g and 11g. Actually i am writing a User Defined Function in Java and was asking this question to know which version of java i need to compile the source file before uploading the jar.
I captured the process id of the browser. I wanted to know whether the process id of the browser is dead or not after we close the browser. How can I check the condition for the process id in oracle forms?
When I click on 'Run Form', the Applet is not opening in Internet Explorer.
Giving Error like " Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Even I have re-installed the oracle 10g the same problem is coming.
Note: When I remove jinitiator and then reinstall jinitiator the applet is opening once and again if I run the form second time the same above error is coming.
Is there a way to start a new browser session from a call in an existing 11g form. I have a situation where in the client / server world I open a form in a new window .
I have a list box that is populated from a record group using a WHEN-NEW-FORM trigger. When I run the form this displays fine when the list box is set as Poplist or Tlist, but when I change this to combo box and run the form it doesn't load properly in the browser (a blank screen followed by the background a a toolbar that says window).
I am working on Forms [32 Bit] Version 11.1.1.4.0 (Production). OS is Win 7 (32 bit). Internet Explorer 8. My Requirement is I need to raise an alert when user close the browser window before closing the Form.
When I try to run the form by clicking Program/Run form, it opens a webpage(explorer) and displays ?ORACLE FORMS? label, but does not show the form only blank screen appear. When I try to run the form by clicking Program/Run form, it opens a webpage(Firefox), but does not show the form only blank screen appear.
I have noticed that in Start OC4J Instance it has some thing like as below:
SYSDATE TIME FormsServlet init(): configFileName: E:DevSuiteHome_2/forms/server/formsweb.cfg testMode: false
pop-ups is not blocked in my browser I have allow active content to run in files on your computer.directory name (where the form is stored) also doesn't contain any spaces.
Also I have change the
baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm to this baseHTMLjinitiator=basejpi.htm.
I have done all the things mention in this forum to overcome this error. But, still the same problem is there. Also please take a note that I am using JRE not JINITIATOR. Beacuse when I am using the JINITIATOR it give me the problem of browser crash in both IE and firefox. Also I am using Windows XP and oracle form 10g.
For all my client machine Internet Explorer 8 is not working. Internet Explorer 7 is working fine . For a machine with Internet Explorer 8 after Installing Mozilla Firefox it's working under Mozilla Firefox Browser well.
IS Oracle Forms/Reports 4.5 supported on database 9i?
My application is running on Form/Reprots 4.5 and 7.3.4 database in WIN2003 server. we have upgraded the database to 9i Release 2. After the upgrade terminate, i become unable to connect to my database from my application forms 4.5.
TNSNAME is OK. Listener is OK.
Can i connect from Forms/Reports 4.5 to 9i Release 2 Oracle database?
i have developed an oracle form application in oracle developer 10g, now i want to make it accessible based on a browser to the clients(make it a web aaplication form)
There are two application servers we have, one is windows based with 10g and linux based 11gr2. Our main login form throwing error message in linux server 'ora-12703 this character set conversion is not supported'. The same coding form in 10g running without any problem. Both application servers accessing the same oracle db server 11gr2.
We are planning to upgrade a database from 9.2.0.8.0 to 10.2.0.4.0.We have a lot a PRO*C programs pre compiled using 9.2.0.8.0 (and most likely even 9.2.0.7.0) compiler.
if we could upgrade the database without having to re-compile all the programs. We have tested this approach against some of our programs. Most of them executed fine - but in 2 cases we are getting "ORA-01001 invalid cursor". I suspect, that the case is that Pre compiler version 9 is not supported against 10g databases - but I am not sure.
Would it be a better option to upgrade Pre compiler/client as the first step and the db as the second step (and would that be supported) ? We definitely don't want to upgrade both Pre compiler/Client and the Database in one goal - that would be too risky.
I am using Oracle 11g version, I wanted to check if a particular function is available in the earlier version of Oracle (Say 9i). Oracle optimizer to run the query only using the features available in the 9i version?
Oracle's Software Configuration Manager version 10.1.2.5 with forms version 10.1.2.3.0:
Is this what everybody is using to manage their forms development? If not, what are developers using for Forms 10g version control? I've installed this software. I'm using the Oracle XE database for this repository. At least for running through the tutorial to figure out how this is to work.
I have to say that I am frustrated that I cannot compare one version of a form to another version of the same fmb. I get a java null pointer exception. I have uninstalled the repository using RAU, then recreated it using the RAU. I'm using version control and defining a "large" repository type for more than 10 developers.
I have developed my PAYROLL application in forms 9i, which is successfully runnig at internet explorer version 6 but it is not running at internet explorer version 8 or later.
We are running forms 11g ( 11.1.1.3) in our production environment and we are having strange issue when we are deploying the new version of fmx on fusion middleware server ( Windows 2008). After copying/replacing the new fmx we are still running the OLDER version of form. It's happening randomly on different servers.
We have Forms application created in Oracle Forms Builder version 9.0.4.0.19. We have done modification in some forms and few forms created using Oracle Forms Builder 10g version 10.1.2.0.2.
Now we need to convert those forms which are around 5 or 6 in number to Oracle Forms 9.
I have a multi record block . I need to implement a functionality where the user updates a field in the record but the form saves the previous version of the record in another table ..
