I am getting the below error when i am trying to import the dmp file into my oracle 11g.
impdp system/password@orcl dumpfile=aaa.dmp directory=datapump remap_schema=dev:user
ORA-31626: job does not exist
ORA-04063: package body "SYS.DBMS_INTERNAL_LOGSTDBY" has errors

I've compiled a package with warnings ON. Getting message SP2-0809: Package Body Created with Compilation Errors.When I checked the errors by issuing "Show Errors", it shows "No error".
SQL> ALTER PACKAGE PKG_ABC COMPILE PLSQL_WARNINGS = 'ENABLE:ALL';
SP2-0809: Package Body Created with Compilation Errors
SQL> SHOW ERRORS
No Errors
how to check errors for that, or oracle simply pointing that package might have performance issue.

I am try to import 4G dump in Oracle 11R2 version, in that we have around 9000+ Package Body which is taking huge time than other objects (about 8 to 12 hrs) and also it is expecting lots of system space (roughly about 10GB).
I have tried both parallel and non-parallel.how to improve speed of the package body import.
Details about the Schema & Import No. of objects in Schema

I was asked to do export/import of some schemas from 10g(linux) to 11g(AIX) using original expor/import method. I did not consider the character set and started doing export and import. while exporting, I get questionable statistics error in export log file. In the import log, I see the error like CREATE DATABASE LINK "xxxxxxxxxxxxx" CONNECT TO "xxxx" IDENTIFIED BY...
What can be done with these errors?

I am trying to use NETWORK_LINK option in datapump and import a table from one server to another. I gave the below command :
C:>impdp example/example@db DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR
NETWORK_LINK=db.legal.regn.net remap_schema=BI:example
tables=BI.BI_DIRECT dumpfile=BI.dmp logfile=BI.log
Got the following errors :
ORA-39002: invalid operation
ORA-39070: Unable to open the log file.
ORA-29283: invalid file operation
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_FILE", line 536
ORA-29283: invalid file operation
Is this error related to the permission in the OS level (windows 7 in my case)? I manually created the folder 'DATA_PUMP_DIR' in the specified directory path. Though the directory I created (DATA_PUMP_DIR) shows read-only in the general tab of the property, I am able to create files under the folder 'DATA_PUMP_DIR'.

Up until today we assumed that compiling a package BODY-only would not cause invalidation of other code. However when we compiled the body of the HTP package, the OWA package became invalid and required re-compilation.

I wanted to migrate two schemas from:
Source Database machine OS: OEL 5.9 , 64-bit
Source Database version/addition: 11.2.0.1.0 SE
to:
Target Database machine OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4 , 64-bit
Target Database version/addition: 10.2.0.4.0 EE
Therefore, I did an export using Oracle Data Pump:

i get flat file and i have set up a control M job so that it runs at a particular time.
initially my control file was as below:
LOAD DATA
INFILE 'DFILEabcd.dat'
BADFILE 'BDabcd.bad'
REPLACE
INTO TABLE abcd_table
(A position(01:09) CHAR,
B position(11:12) CHAR,
C position(14:33) CHAR,
D position(37:50) char)
this was working fine. control M did not send FAIL message.but later i had to change the ctl file due to requirement. i had to add a when clause.
my code after modification is:
INFILE 'DFILEabcd.dat'
BADFILE 'BDabcd.bad'
REPLACE
INTO TABLE abcd_table
when A<>'10'
(A position(01:09) CHAR,
B position(11:12) CHAR,
C position(14:33) CHAR,
D position(37:50)
now the control M is sending an erro message after it runs the job. error is Return 5. thats all it gives.
i think it is due to errorlevel 1. in log file it says zero records inserted due to data error. then what is causing control M to send fail message??
sqlloader is loading all the required records correctly.

In Way1, I got different DDL or partial DDL. In Way2, I got only first 2 lines of Package body. I am running this command from Schema user only.

I sent a request for the DBA's to grant me rights to the package body but I only see the spec with the grant execute command.
Here is the command I just sent:
grant create any procedure to DEVELOPER1;
But the DBA changed my grant command to:
grant create procedure to DEVELOPER1;
But I still cannot see the package body. This is on a test environment.
Would the "create any procedure" command see the package body of different schema owners package bodies?
Or is there another grant command to see different schema package bodies?

1- I do not have access to TOAD for Oracle yet
2- I can connect to SQLPLUS: Release 9.2.0.1.0
3- We have many stored procedures in packages that are available from the TOAD for Oracle interface
4- I need to be able to see the specs/body of some packages containing some procedures.
5- I am connected to the appropriate DataBase1 (for example), but from here what to do from SQLPLUS command prompt ?

I have a package which has couple of Procedures and functions. I use some constants between the functions and procedure and also functions r called from the other procedure and stuff...
So I declared all these in the header
Like this

I have written a shell script that will execute a procedure. The input parameters are constant.

Now I have to call same procedure but the input is a csv file.
Is there a way to call a procedure using csv file, I cannot load the table using SQL Loader because there is a complicated logic.For every row in CSV there should be 3 rows inserted into table and 2 rows updated.
As of JAN 2, three rows have to be inserted with dates JAN2, JAN 3, JAN 4 and 2 rows ( 3ODEC and 29DEC have to be updated). Also these days have to be business days.
So all this code is in procedure that uses a DB2 package for business dates.Instead of using sql ldr , if would like pass the csv file as input param.

SP file was removed during the testing and I started the database after making some changes in the pfile, and it works fine.
But when I try to start the database using the SPFILE, it gives an error.
